Chapter 317: Chapter 317: Preparations

The fight that occurred wasn’t as spectacular as any would imagine. Rather, it was one-sided.

Diane, Ruda, Eidel, and Zabita were not just tier 3 lionesses, they were enhanced by Conquering Essence and were stronger than the average tier 3 lioness.

Zabita alone, who had so many tal pieces floating around her and under her control, gave them an advantage. The two tal Hyenas did not have any refined tal that they could use except their claws and teeth. Zabita was a whole level above them.

*BOOM!*

There was an explosion as Eidel and the Fire Hyena clashed. The fiery hyena had red spots on her body but also had a cold blue fla running down her back.

She gave Eidel a very weird feeling. Just like Eidel, this hyena could control two types of flas; The original fla and frost fla. In Eidel’s case, it was the original fla and the Soul Fla.

The fight between them was filled with dancing flas, fire breaths, and infernal destruction. The grasses around them were burnt to ashes within a second and the moist soil dried up.

However, Eidel clearly had the upper hand. The two tails behind her swerved from left to right, bringing about searing heat and silver fireballs.

Her Original flas were hotter and her soul flas were deadly. The Fire Hyena had already been struck by the silver flas and was suffering in anguish. The soul flas were silent, quietly burning at her very soul and causing unimaginable pain.

She was already dying, so fighting Eidel was just her last wish at this point. Eidel herself showed no rcy, From the mont she saw the hyena control those frost flas, she had wanted it for herself.

If she could just devour this hyena...

Diane and Ruda handled the three War Hyenas with more ease. Diane fought all three of them head-on, using her superior strength to keep them at bay while delivering one claw injury after the other.

Ruda used her superior agility to attack them from the sides. Every one of her attacks was packed with body-numbing electric jolts.

As for Zabita, hers was the easiest. Her fight with the mother and daughter duo of tal hyenas couldn’t even be considered a fight.

It was two against one, yet Zabita had the upper hand. The hyenas were beaten around like ragdolls.

Zabita still fought recklessly, Kael noticed. He wondered if this was just her true nature underneath that cover of quietness and being an introvert. Perhaps, being reckless was just how she was.

Kael didn’t like that.

Soon, the three hyenas were dead and three were left alive. Two War Hyenas and the familiar tal Hyena that Kael knew.

The familiar tal Hyena didn’t show that much sorrow at seeing her daughter being squashed to a pulp by Zabita’s tal clubs.

Also, she didn’t rember any of these lionesses at all. Diane looked a bit familiar to her but the others were very foreign to her mind. She had hunted down many lion cubs in her life, she couldn’t possibly rember every one of them.

The three hyenas were held down by one lioness and watched in horror as Kael, the largest lion they had ever seen, walked up to them.

His aura was so oppressive that they couldn’t help but bow their heads slightly and avoid his gaze.

His large paw appeared in front of their vision for a brief mont before passing by. Kael didn’t stop to check on the hyenas at all, he was just passing by.

While the hyenas were wondering what was happening, a soft and comforting voice entered their heads.

"You have two choices..."

It was Priya’s voice. The hyenas gazed up to see that a grey-furred large lioness had appeared in front of them at so point. Kael’s figure was just too eye-catching and they had not noticed her presence at all.

Priya’s gaze lingered on the familiar hyena. She naturally rembered this particular hyena, although the hyena didn’t rember her.

Kael left the details for Priya to manage as they should be. There was no use in micromanaging everything.

Right now, the sorrowful whimpering of hyenas entered his ears from different angles. He was aware of everything.

His hearing was so profound that he could even tell the exact distance between him and the source of those noises. It was almost like echolocation without the ntal imaging.

Now that the hyenas were mostly dealt with Kael returned his focus on their primary target.

Speaking of which, they had t most of their targets already. Priya talked about getting crocodiles and hyenas, and now, they had them.

The primary target was the zebras but the zebras had led them to this Super ga Herd before them.

Many horde creatures wondered how they were supposed to take over this monstrosity of a herd. It was too big and their numbers were probably close to a million or not more than that.

Compared to the horde that had around six thousand plus mbers only, the Super ga Herd seems like an insurmountable wall.

Naturally, this campaign would have ended at this point as there was no point in fighting a losing battle, that is what would have happened if Kael had not made preparations.

The massive golden lion then sat down about a hundred ters from the edge of the herd. His massive golden fra instantly attracted the attention of the buffalo and wildebeests at the edges.

His oppressive aura rolled out in layers, hitting the minds of all who gazed at him. To see a golden lion suddenly appearing and sitting down in the middle of the grassy plain was...intriguing.

None of the herbivores dared to step out of the edge of the herd at this point. Not even the temperantal buffaloes tried to make too much noise. This was the biggest lion they had ever seen.

And this one was just sitting there, staring at them with the coldest, most beautiful eyes they had ever seen. Those faintly glowing golden eyes were like lanterns in the dark night.

To make matters worse, the sound of hyenas laughing was starting to die down and was now replaced with wolf howls, bird cries, and bear roars.

A strange aura was starting to co over the atmosphere beyond the herd. The number of predatory birds in the sky had increased.

They could see wolves, foxes, bears, and goats assembling at different parts of the grassy field.

A lot of strange things have been happening recently. First, it was the strange powers that vulture had exhibited earlier today, bringing the dead back to life.

Then it was the fact that many creatures within the Super ga Herd were acting weird. Many of them had gotten restless, as if they were waiting for sothing to happen. These creatures were already starting to huddle up in their own groups, preparing for what was to co very soon.

And now, a massive golden lion had co to sit down in front of them, and he was also escorted by an army of other battle-hungry creatures.

Kael sat there, calm and collected. If the leaders of the Super ga Herd acted now, they might actually be able to beat Kael and his horde of beasts.

But they didn’t, Kael expected this.

So much power, and they didn’t know how to use it. Kael would make sure to put them to good use once they fell into his hands.

Many of the horde mbers were already salivating, seeing so many herbivores here. They were scared and excited at the sa ti, no wonder the hyenas had lingered around the edges.

At the sa ti, while Kael was waiting for sothing, the golden screen of the lion system appeared in front of him.

Checking the mission board, he discovered that more missions were suddenly being completed all of a sudden.

This stunned Kael, he didn’t expect the new Lionhood Bar feature to be so effective. The influx of Conquering Essence into the Lion System had increased and was still rising.

The lions seed to have gone crazy. And the Pride Leaders who were privileged with being able to post missions seed to have gone haywire.

Kael had made it so that the act of posting missions was considered a Conquering Activity. So, any mission that was successfully completed would result in their respective Lionhood Bars being filled.

As of now, hundreds of missions have been posted at the sa ti. Luckily, the Lion System was automatically filtering these missions and only allowed those missions that were considered Conquering Activities to be shown to the public.

The lions were chasing a high that would never be filled, a trap that Kael had unintentionally created to keep them doing the sa thing over and over again. The lions were already culturally attuned to the concept of Lionhood so Kael wasn’t exactly breaking any ethical boundaries.

Not that he would care.

His private chat was also filled with ssages from two different sources.

One was Exalon and his ssages were mostly questions about the nature of the new feature and why it caused such feelings of happiness...

Kael ignored the ssage for now, not ready to explain, and focused on the second set of ssages which was from Chloe.

....

Chloe: I think I found it
