Chapter 844: Chapter 838: The End of the Long River, Misty Land
Qin Feng was like a small beast that couldn’t swim, flailing wildly in the water at first, desperately trying to balance his body.
He wasn’t truly unable to swim. Even without considering his Water Manipulation Technique and Water Escape Divine Power, he could still transform into an Azure Dragon, traversing all the waters of the world!
In the Ten Thousand Worlds, no water could drown him!
Even the Evil Water in the deepest abyss, the Poison Water in the deepest part of Hell, with his current Dao Cultivation, if he fell in, he was confident he could escape alive.
But the Ti Water was different. It didn’t belong to any world, nor was it affected by any one world; rather, it influenced the Ten Thousand Worlds!
Because this was the Ti Water from the Ti River!
Ti in any world was under the control of the Ti River; the advancent of everything in the world required ti to push forward!
Due to the special nature of the Ti River, all of Qin Feng’s Water Manipulation Divine Powers were useless here.
Moreover, strictly speaking, the Ti Water wasn’t really water, but rather, due to the concentration of the Power of Ti being too dense, it ford a water-like appearance.
So Qin Feng appeared like a small beast that fell into the water, struggling desperately, wanting to escape the Ti River before the Immortal Energy in the Shariputra was depleted.
Otherwise, once the Shariputra could no longer protect him, given his limited abilities, there was absolutely no way he could endure for long in the Ti River, and he would have all his Life Span eroded by this endless Ti Water until he died of old age!
However, the Ti River was too turbulent, making Qin Feng appear so weak and powerless here.
Once, his unmatched Divine Power could shatter mountains with a punch and crack the earth with a kick, but in the Ti Water, it beca so frail.
So, even if he exerted all his strength, he could barely manage a few flails, nowhere near enough to leave the Ti River.
Fortunately, he quickly cald down, and once he cleared his Spirit, thoughts flew rapidly through his mind. Soon an idea lit up, and he stopped relying on his own power to resist the Ti River, instead manipulating the Ti Law to try and push away the Ti Water surrounding him.
Boom!
Under Qin Feng’s manipulation, his own formidable immortal power surged out crazily with the persistence of the Ti Law, forcibly pushing away the Ti Water around him!
Although it was only for an instant before the vast and magnificent Ti Water engulfed him again, it still brought him a sense of joy.
It at least proved one point: the Ti Law could still have so effect here.
Even though the Ti River was too vast, rendering his strength, which was considered powerful among common cultivators, insignificant, it was at least a hundred tis better than other laws, which couldn’t shake the Ti at all!
Thus, Qin Feng manipulated the Ti Law, exerting all the Divine Power Principles related to ti that he had mastered, exploring possible ways to escape the Ti River from various directions.
Due to the elusive and ethereal nature of the Ti Law, the number of Divine Power Principles of this type that Qin Feng had mastered over the years wasn’t many — mainly controlling the speed of local ti flow, maintaining control over ti within a certain range around himself.
Nonetheless, once these thods were used in fighting, they would certainly give him the upper hand.
But now, using them in the Ti River, there was none of the previous vigor and enthusiasm!
After so attempts, Qin Feng also confird a few things and gained so insights.
First, he confird that he did not possess the power to go against the flow!
Ti cannot be reversed!
At least he didn’t have the capability to reverse ti; that’s sothing true powerful top-level figures across the Ten Thousand Worlds would attempt.
So, he could only go with the flow downstream!
Secondly, the power required to traverse the Ti River horizontally was indeed formidable, so he might not be able to move much whether he went left or right.
The most crucial thing was that once he was deep in the Ti River, he only felt it was infinitely wide, unable to see the left or right ends, with the only chance of seeing the riverbank void being to erge from deep beneath the river.
The most worry-free and effortless way was to go with the flow downstream.
Or to swim downstream with a slight deviation to one side, which was his only chance to escape the Ti River.
But his mastery of the Ti Law ultimately couldn’t compare to the Ti River; he could only manipulate a limited section of the surrounding Ti Water, without the confidence to escape before the Shariputra’s Immortal Energy was exhausted.
Moreover, even if he managed to escape, he wouldn’t know where in the void he would end up, likely having left the original Star Domain, or even possibly the vast world Tribe.
More importantly, who knows how much ti has passed outside while he drifted along the Ti River for so long.
The flow of ti inside the Ti River is different from the outside. According to records in the Cultivation World, many strong figures in ancient tis attempted to enter the Ti River, thus the Cultivation World knew far more about the Ti River than ordinary worlds.
So he knew that anyone who entered the Ti River and drifted downstream — even if the ti spent inside wasn’t long — could find upon exiting that everything had changed.
If lucky, a few hundred years may have passed; if unlucky, by the ti they ca out, the Cultivation World might have undergone several rises and falls, and those who entered the Ti River might not even find their Sect’s dwelling.
There was also a story circulating in the Cultivation World about an incident long ago where a Profound Immortal expert accidentally entered the Ti River. This fellow had robust strength and various treasures for protection, plus he didn’t go deep, so after much struggle, he indeed managed to break free.
But due to not having the protection of Immortal Energy in the Ti River, his Life Span was severely eroded by the Ti Water, and upon exiting, he found his originally handso young immortal appearance had greatly changed, turning into that of a wrinkled old man.
More crucially, after multiple hardships to return to the Cultivation World, he found that his Sect had turned to ash in a calamity, everything akin to a fleeting mont past, no longer what he once knew.
Not long after, that Profound Immortal whose Life Span was greatly eroded by the Ti River succumbed to a sense of frustration, becoming a rare case of a truly elderly immortal in the Cultivation World!
Qin Feng worried that his Life Span would be eroded by the Ti Water, nor did he wish to find no old friends upon returning to his Sect.
So, he pushed his power to the extre, exerting all his strength to manipulate the Ti Law, trying to escape the Ti River before the Immortal Aura in the Shariputra was exhausted, aiming to stay in the river for as little ti as possible!
Even after realizing his mastery over the Ti Law was still lacking, he turned his hand to summon the Spring and Autumn Cicada, intending to leverage its Ti Law to expedite their escape with combined strength.
The Spring and Autumn Cicada was sowhat smug when it first got summoned, partly because its power had surged since achieving Demon Immortal status after overcoming the Heavenly Tribulation, and partly because it found that it was the only Spiritual Beast summoned by the master.
What does this an?
It ans it has gained favor in the master’s heart more than ever. Otherwise, why would it be the only one summoned?
The Spring and Autumn Cicada felt it couldn’t let the master down and must serve him diligently.
Ever since acquiring the Ti Wand from that Immortal Wizard, it would daily shrink its form and happily soak in the Power of Ti, absorbing the Ti Origin, thus strengthening its Ti Law.
With such carefree and substantial Power of Ti to cultivate, the Spring and Autumn Cicada’s cultivation progressed rapidly, with increasing mastery over the Ti Law.
Hence, it felt confident and capable of declaring its intent to serve the master well.
Anyway, it was far superior to that White Dragon fellow. Under its unique Ti Law, who among the main Spiritual Beasts in the other spatial layers dare claim victory over it?
However, upon erging and sensing the endless and vast Power of Ti around, it was startled.
While it liked the Power of Ti, there were certainly limits.
And the surrounding Power of Ti was so vast as to be boundless, making it feel like a tiny ant that could be easily crushed by a random wave.
With its small fra, how could it withstand such enormous Power of Ti?
Qin Feng quickly inford the Spring and Autumn Cicada of their current predicant through ntal communication.
As a gifted Ti Divine Power, the Spring and Autumn Cicada was naturally aware of the Ti River, which only heightened its shock and helplessness.
Could they have followed the master into the Ti River?
Despite the helplessness, it could only exert all its strength to help Qin Feng contend against the Ti Water; otherwise, if anything happened to Qin Feng, it would not survive either.
Thus, person and beast joined forces to wield the Ti Law, struggling to swim sideways amid the downstream flow.
The Ti River not only had rapid currents but also surging waves, countless whirlpools and undercurrents, occasionally erupting monstrous waves, winding river sections, and nurous tributaries large and small.
Occasionally, Qin Feng and the Spring and Autumn Cicada caught glimpses of enormous silhouettes, witnessing giants with incomparably tall bodies standing in the Ti River, unmoved by the flowing waters.
They also saw two terrifying beasts fighting to the death in the Ti River, with the aftermath of their battle raising boundless waves. Qin Feng and the Spring and Autumn Cicada were directly launched skyward by a wave stirred by their conflict before plumting back to the riverbed!
This incurred Qin Feng to silently curse. They had laboriously floated to the river surface, deviating from the river’s center, only to be struck back to the riverbed by the aftermath of the monstrous battle, rendering their previous endeavors futile, starting all over again.
Unfortunately, he dared not outwardly curse. Those two formidable ones were engrossed in fighting and remained oblivious to him, and if he dared provoke dissatisfaction, a swipe would turn him into minced at!
Qin Feng lanted endlessly.
Because the Shariputra’s Immortal Aura had already mostly depleted, not enough to support them starting anew.
“Is Heaven intent on destroying ?”
Qin Feng felt bitter.
But he’d never been one to resign to fate.
Even with the Shariputra’s Immortal Aura nearly exhausted, he still wished to give it his all; dying without a try would leave him regretful!
Yet, before he could swim to the river’s surface, another great wave struck down hard, forcing them back into the riverbed, plunging them directly into an undercurrent whirlpool.
As Qin Feng and the Spring and Autumn Cicada were spun dizzy by the whirlpool, on finally extricating themselves from it, they had no idea where they had arrived!
“Master?”
Suddenly, the Spring and Autumn Cicada’s joyful cry reached Qin Feng’s ears: “There’s a tributary ahead, let’s go quickly!”
Hearing this, Qin Feng was similarly elated.
Although the Ti River’s tributary was still perilous, it wasn’t as wild as the Ti River itself. Comparatively, it was much gentler; perhaps they could find a chance to break free from the ti flux.
At once, they exerted all their might, even explosively tapping into their own potential, finally managing to rush into the tributary as they passed by.
This tributary indeed drastically reduced the danger, the fluctuations of Ti Water decreased as they swam forward, and the consumption of Immortal Aura lessened, truly allowing Qin Feng to persist in swimming forward.
Just as he swam, his brows slightly furrowed.
Abruptly, he stood up, only to discover the Ti Water now reached only halfway up his thighs, and not far ahead lay a stretch of land.
Though uncertain why there would be land at the Ti River’s tributary, even with misty gray fog shrouding it and the ground littered with ominous white bones, appearing so grimly eerie.
Nonetheless, it was undoubtedly better than staying within the Ti River!
Thus, Qin Feng was initially stunned, but soon overtaken by imnse joy.
It seed this tributary of the Ti River wasn’t long, with its end thus revealing itself.
In his delight, Qin Feng hastily waded through the Ti Water toward the end ahead.
The Shariputra’s Golden Light had dimd, with only a few threads of Immortal Aura left; if he didn’t exit the Ti Water soon, what would be exhausted next was his own life span!
