Chapter 349: Chapter 346: Returning to the Dragon Tomb, Setting a Plot

The Transversal Grand Canyon, according to ancient legends, was a rift created by a mighty divine during a battle between gods in the ancient tis.

All the tribes of creatures acknowledged this claim, or else Algu Mountain wouldn’t have such a straight pathway cutting through it from south to north.

Qin Feng had traversed through this grand canyon, finding the journey relatively safe thus far.

Although there were demon beasts inhabiting the canyon, because strong beastman armies often passed by, the more intelligent high-level demon beasts rarely appeared in this area to avoid being hunted for food by the powerful beastman experts.

However, in recent years, the frequency and size of the beastman forces heading south through here had diminished, and gradually, more mid- to low-level demon beasts started to feel that there were no overly powerful demon beasts in the vicinity and began settling in the area, at least feeling safe whenever the beastman armies weren’t passing through.

Therefore, on his way, Qin Feng had encountered various types of demon beasts. With the increase in herbivorous demon beasts, naturally, many carnivorous demon beasts were also drawn here.

What made Qin Feng even more delighted was that he had actually spotted a group of Golden Mountain Goats, a sixth-level demon beast, in this place.

The discovery imdiately filled Qin Feng with great joy.

He had assud that such demon beasts lived only in the mountains of the southern continent, never expecting to find them in this vast mountain range.

Although tempted, Qin Feng did not take imdiate action.

With his strength, he could defeat any Golden Mountain Goat, even the herd’s leader, which had beco a seventh-level demon beast, outsizing warhorses by a circle; it wouldn’t stand a chance against him.

But if dozens of Golden Mountain Goats cast magic together, it would give him a headache.

Even if he could ultimately defeat the group, if they sensed the tide turning against them, they would scatter and flee, and he probably wouldn’t catch many.

Nevertheless, as a qualified cultivator, such difficulties certainly couldn’t stop him.

Qin Feng set up a Nine Palace Illusion Array several miles away from the group of Golden Mountain Goats, then released a Fire Ape to corral them toward the array from another direction.

When dozens of Golden Mountain Goats, led by a robust male, ran into the region of the Nine Palace Illusion Array, Qin Feng imdiately activated it.

Suddenly, all the Golden Mountain Goats were divided into separate illusory spaces, and Qin Feng, wielding the Sky Battle Halberd as a club, unexpectedly appeared behind them, knocking each one unconscious with a blow, then directly throwing them by their massive horns into the Demon Refining Pot.

Even the male leader, now a seventh-level mid-stage demon beast, had little power to resist and was knocked unconscious on the ground by Qin Feng’s flurry of blows.

For Qin Feng, a sixth-level demon beast was easy to deal with, and although a seventh-level demon beast was not weak in magic power, it fell far short of a Demon Core Realm beast in spells and divine skills. With Qin Feng’s war power far surpassing peers at his level, it was natural for him to easily defeat the goat leader.

After subduing the group of Golden Mountain Goats, Qin Feng was in high spirits and rrily continued on his way. Later, he casually tad two seventh-level Two-Legged Flying Dragons — to serve as transportation and eventually to leave with his clan upon his return.

Golden Mountain Goats were herbivorous demon beasts, and Two-Legged Flying Dragons were omnivorous; both were relatively easy to breed, unlike carnivorous demon beasts which required feeding large amounts of at daily, leading to substantial consumption not cost-effective for the clan.

Crossing the canyon and traveling a distance of about three thousand li, Qin Feng arrived at lands occupied by various kingdoms of the Human Clan.

The original wide exit of the canyon was now blocked by multiple tall walls. There were, astonishingly, five checkpoints, each ard with nurous large-scale siege weapons. Behind the walls, tens of thousands of elite Human Clan soldiers and many experts stood guard, always on alert for beastman attacks.

It was with these iron-clad walls and multiple defenses that the direct southward path for beastn was thwarted.

While historically, there had been instances where a beastman army, powerful in war, had breached five lines of defense and nearly captured the city behind them, they ultimately failed due to a large number of reinforcents from the Church Court and suffered heavy losses, forcing their retreat.

Since then, although beastn would occasionally scout the area, large-scale wars rarely broke out, as beastn weren’t foolish enough to send their troops to certain death without reason.

Qin Feng dared not approach the walls ahead, nor did he fly over them directly, as that could easily alert the strong entities within the city.

He delved underground so twenty miles away from the checkpoints, circumventing the city from a distance before resurfacing tens of miles away to continue his journey.

“Daoist Fellow Xiu Xin.”

Atop the cliff, Qin Feng stood up, greeting Xiu Xin, who was approaching from afar, with a smile.

He had been waiting here for several days, and today was the appointed ti to et with Xiu Xin.

“It has been a year since our last eting, and Daoist Fellow’s cultivation has greatly advanced—congratulations on your progress!”

Xiu Xin laughed, “You flatter , Daoist Fellow. Compared to you, I’m still a step behind.”

“You’re too modest,” Qin Feng said, observing the glowing Daoist energy and robust aura emanating from Xiu Xin. “Just looking at Daoist Fellow’s condition tells you’ve had considerable gains this past year.”

“Indeed, there have been so gains,” Xiu Xin replied without pretense, nodding in acknowledgnt. “And I must thank you, Daoist Fellow, for your advice before, which led to significant findings on my journey. Sadly, even after advancing to the Golden Core stage and spending much effort traveling across more than a dozen kingdoms, I still haven’t found a suitable spatial node.”

At this point in the conversation, he couldn’t help but sigh lightly, “I wonder how much longer I will be delayed in this realm. If this delay were to hinder my path, it would truly be a loss not worth the gain.”

“Hehe…”

Qin Feng chuckled lightly, “Daoist Fellow Xiu Xin, there’s no need to worry. I have already found a suitable place and set up a Guiding Array.”

“Oh?”

Upon hearing this, Xiu Xin’s eyes lit up, “Do you an to say that we can return now?”

“We can return at any ti.”

Qin Feng nodded and then added, “However, there is sothing I need to do before we leave, and I may need to ask for your help.”

“Just say the word, Daoist Fellow. If it had not been for your rescue, I would have perished and my path ended. And now, causing you the trouble of taking back to the Red Fla Demon Realm, assisting you with so tasks is only right. Otherwise, I would owe too much favor which wouldn’t be good to repay.”

“Alright, since Daoist Fellow Xiu Xin says so, then I won’t stand on ceremony.”

Qin Feng nodded and said, “Here’s the thing. When I first ca to this world, I happened upon the Giant Dragon Clan’s grave by a fortunate coincidence. There, I encountered a treasure known as the Dragon Spirit Fruit.

This fruit is the nurtured essence of a giant dragon’s strength after its death. Its efficacy is miraculous. When I was forming my Golden Core, I once consud a Light Elent Dragon Spirit Fruit, and its effect was extraordinary, even my Healing Divine Power was a mixture of Light Power and Yimu Vitality.

However, the Dragon Tomb is guarded by many powerful Giant Dragon souls. Since I intruded last ti, they will surely be more vigilant. It would be difficult for to act alone, so I plan to invite Daoist Fellow Xiu Xin to join in this matter.”

“Oh?”

Upon hearing this, Xiu Xin’s eyes shone, “The Dragon’s Grave? Daoist Fellow, you have a great fortune to have encountered such a hidden treasure place. Do you wish for to help you seize the Dragon Spirit Fruit from the Dragon’s Grave?”

“Correct.”

Qin Feng nodded, “After we get it, I’ll share one with you. How about it?”

“No.”

Xiu Xin shook his head, “No need, I do not require the Dragon Spirit Fruit. The opportunity for to visit the Dragon’s Grave with you is a great fortune in itself.

I an no offense, Daoist Fellow. Compared to the Dragon Spirit Fruit, I am more interested in those Dragon Souls.”

“Uh?”

Qin Feng was stunned but then chuckled, “I had forgotten that point. Well then, since Daoist Fellow Xiu Xin has said so, I will take advantage of you this one ti. You help seize the Dragon Spirit Fruit, and I will help you subdue the Dragon Souls. This way, it is a mutual assistance, with each of us gaining.”

“Good.”

Xiu Xin bowed slightly and the two of them looked at each other and smiled, both satisfied.

“Since that’s the case, we should not delay. Let’s set off now!”

Qin Feng chuckled, summoned the two Two-Legged Flying Dragons, and with Xiu Xin, each riding one, they headed straight for the sea.

Even with the Two-Legged Flying Dragons flying as fast as they could, it took them more than ten days to approach the island where the Dragon’s Grave was located.

Upon arrival, Qin Feng put away the Two-Legged Flying Dragons from afar and, together with Xiu Xin, concealed their presence as they stealthily infiltrated the island.

He took Xiu Xin to hide behind the rocks at the top of the cliff on the outer edge of the island, watching the scene inside the island.

True to his status as a True Disciple of the Ghost Controlling Sect, Xiu Xin activated his Yin Yang Eyes to observe life and death, to peer into the Netherworld. In just a mont, he saw through so clues.

“So many Giant Dragon souls!”

Xiu Xin exclaid, his eyes shining even brighter, “With so many Dragon Souls, if I could capture all of them into my Ghost Nourishing Gourd and nurture and refine them with secret techniques, I would be able to achieve Immortal Dao at a rate far exceeding that of the ordinary man!

Alas, alas, there are even several Dragon Souls in the depths of the Dragon’s Grave that are comparable to the Dharma Image Primordial Spirit. I am far from being their match, otherwise…”

Qin Feng glanced at him and smiled, “There’s no need to worry. Once Daoist Fellow Xiu Xin’s strength increases, just co back here. Our two Sects have a close relationship, so when the ti cos, you only need to speak to Grandmaster Kongkong and ask him to teleport you here.

My Beast Taming Sect only needs those Dragon Spirit Fruits. As for Giant Dragon souls, feel free to take them, Daoist Fellow.”

Xiu Xin sighed, “Well, once I return, I will report the truth to my Sect. If the Elders are willing to make a move here, they will naturally negotiate these matters with your esteed Sect. At present, my strength is still too weak. I can only do my best to improve myself.

However, if I can capture a powerful Fire Elent Giant Dragon’s soul and integrate it into the body of my Lifebound Spiritual Ghost Chi Xiao, I am confident that within ten years I can elevate its strength to that of a Ghost General.”

“Oh?”

Qin Feng, upon hearing this, couldn’t help but be a bit surprised.

According to the Cultivation World’s classifications, only those Ghost Items capable of contending with a Purple Mansion Realm Cultivator could be called a Ghost General, whereas those in the Dharma Image Realm were referred to as Ghost Generals, and those in the Primordial Spirit Realm were known as Ghost Kings!

If Xiu Xin could actually succeed in training his Lifebound Spiritual Ghost into a Ghost General in such a short period of ti, it ant he could very likely advance to the Purple Mansion before Qin Feng, becoming an Elder-level figure in the Sect.

Indeed, geniuses from Major Sects were never to be underestimated.

Qin Feng felt a little pressure in his heart, realizing that he, too, had to expedite his Cultivation progress.

If Xiu Xin could vigorously train his Lifebound Spiritual Ghost, why couldn’t he train his Ruyi Golden Snake?

Moreover, he still had the Demon Refining Pot in his possession, he refused to believe he couldn’t surpass Xiu Xin!

Qin Feng was planning his future Cultivation path in his mind, about to ask Xiu Xin if there was a way to conceal their presence so they could sneak into the Dragon Tomb without being detected by the Undead Dragons, when suddenly his ears twitched slightly, and he faintly heard the sound of a Dragon Roar from a distance.

At first, Qin Feng didn’t pay it much attention, instinctively assuming it was just an Undead Dragon howling from within the Dragon Tomb.

However, he quickly furrowed his brows and turned his head to look toward the northwest.

“What’s wrong?”

Xiu Xin looked at him curiously and asked.

“Did you hear a Dragon Roar?”

“Dragon Roar?”

Xiu Xin listened intently and said, “There are indeed Dragon Souls howling in the Dragon Tomb, Daoist Fellow need not pay attention; these entities that have beco dead things often cry out.”

“It’s not from here.”

Qin Feng looked toward the distance again: “Just now, I felt like there was a Dragon Roar from the northwest direction.”

Upon hearing this, Xiu Xin listened carefully but heard nothing, then said, “It must be a Giant Dragon passing nearby; after all, we’re close to the Dragon Clan’s burial ground, so it’s normal for them to occasionally pass by.”

“Right.”

Qin Feng nodded, about to continue the previous conversation, when his ears twitched again.

This ti, Xiu Xin heard it too—the distant sound of a Dragon Roar.

“It sounds familiar!”

Qin Feng said in surprise, “It’s very similar to the cry of that White Dragon I once encountered.”

“Oh? Daoist Fellow has had contact with a Giant Dragon before?”

“Once, but unfortunately, I couldn’t keep it from escaping.”

Xiu Xin smirked.

Was this fellow that powerful?

A mature Giant Dragon possessed the strength to contend with a Purple Mansion Cultivator.

“In that case, we might as well go take a look at the situation first and then co back to discuss the details of entering the Dragon’s Grave. We don’t want that Giant Dragon to head this way. If it distracts us during our venture in the Dragon Tomb, it could very well ruin our plans.”

Xiu Xin suggested.

“Sounds good.”

After so thought, Qin Feng nodded in agreent.

Without delay, the two flew off in the direction of the Dragon Roar.

After flying out three hundred li, they arrived near the source of the sound.

Ahead, the Dragon Roar shook the heavens, waves churned violently, and the sight was astonishing.

What was even more shocking was that twenty-seven huge snake heads had erged, densely crowding the surface of the sea.

“How bizarre!”

Xiu Xin took one look from afar and wore an odd expression: “Why would that Giant Dragon be fighting with a Nine-Headed Snake? Although the Giant Dragon Clan can be considered dominant, for one solitary dragon to dare challenge several Nine-Headed Snakes in the sea on its own, isn’t that overestimating its capabilities?”

Qin Feng looked at the scene in the distance and was at a loss for words.

In the distance, in the high sky, the giant dragon that boasted its prowess and soared through the clouds, occasionally casting powerful Dragon Language Magic, was the very sa white dragon that had escaped from his Guardian Angel.

Although it was indeed strong and could take advantage of flying to dodge most of the attacks, its position hardly seed advantageous.

Below it, there were as many as three Nine-Headed Snakes. As level nine Demon Beasts inhabiting the depths of the ocean, the Nine-Headed Snakes were able to unleash their full strength. They whipped up monuntal waves, summoned torrents of Water Guns, and even unleashed Forbidden Curse Magic, forming imnse, abyss-like whirlpools that swept towards the white dragon.

Under the combined assault of the three Nine-Headed Snakes, not even the white dragon could gain the upper hand, and it was baffling where it had found the courage to battle so many level nine Demon Beasts.

“Look over there!”

Daoist Fellow Xiu Xin pointed towards the distance: “Is that an island over there?”

“Eh?”

Qin Feng followed the direction of Xiu Xin’s finger and was indeed surprised to discover a small island.

He was puzzled. When he had co to the Dragon’s Grave before, he hadn’t seen any island. So how had a small island suddenly appeared here?

However, after thinking about it, he realized that his vision was limited by the torrential rain and howling winds when he had first arrived, preventing him from seeing far distances. Perhaps, at that ti, the small island was already subrged by the tide, and since he didn’t approach the island where the Dragon Tomb was located from this direction, it made sense that he hadn’t discovered it.

“Let’s go check it out.”

Qin Feng’s eyes shifted as he suddenly thought of sothing. He grabbed Xiu Xin and, keeping their presence hidden, they took a long detour and flew towards the location of the small island.

When they arrived above the island, Qin Feng found that the island was only about ten miles in circumference and wasn’t particularly tall, which would indeed make it inconspicuous during a storm.

The two circled the island and quickly found a huge nest.

When Qin Feng sent his Divine Sense into the nest, he imdiately discovered a large pile of Gold Coins, gemstones, and Magic Items.

Seeing this, he couldn’t help but laugh: “They really built a Dragon Nest here!”

Xiu Xin also said, “I’ve heard that not long ago, a white dragon plundered many churches and cities of the Light Church. Maybe it hid here overseas to avoid retaliation from the church’s strong mbers.

After all, for a Giant Dragon, a top-level Demon Beast, sleeping a few tis could pass many years, by which ti the Light Church may no longer care about past events.”

“Mm, that makes sense.”

Qin Feng nodded and glanced back at the white dragon, which was still in battle.

The creature already had nurous injuries, but since it was adept at Healing Magic, the wounds healed quickly, allowing it to continue fighting.

However, Qin Feng figured it wouldn’t be able to hold on for much longer and would eventually be forced to flee.

Alone, it simply couldn’t defeat so many Nine-Headed Snakes.

His eyes shifted as he suddenly said, “Knowing the nature of Giant Dragons, if it flees, there’s a good chance it will co back to take its treasure.

The Nine-Headed Snakes may be formidable, but unless they pursue on land, they can only watch the Giant Dragon fly away.

However, if you and I join forces to launch a surprise attack, is there a chance we could clip its wings and force it into close combat with the Nine-Headed Snakes?”

“Are you thinking of taking advantage of the situation?”

Xiu Xin glanced at Qin Feng, quickly grasping his intent.

After all, Qin Feng was a disciple of the Beast Taming Sect and naturally interested in powerful Demon Beasts.

Moreover, as a True Disciple of the Spiritual Snake Lineage, seeing the rare Demon Beast like the Nine-Headed Snake without any intrigue would be unbelievable.

“That might not be easy. With our level of Cultivation, taking on such an existence still poses a significant risk.”

Xiu Xin furrowed his brow and hesitated before responding, “However, although the white dragon can contend with a Purple Mansion Realm Cultivator, it doesn’t have as many techniques. If we strike successfully and flee imdiately, it won’t be able to catch us.

Forcing the white dragon to voluntarily enter the sea for a lee with the Nine-Headed Snakes seems improbable; however, if the Nine-Headed Snakes realize the dragon’s wings are damaged and it can’t fly, they might very well take the initiative to pursue on land and engage it in combat.”

“Not bad.”

Qin Feng nodded: “That’s a possibility.”

“In that case, I shall accompany Daoist Brother in this endeavor.”

Xiu Xin turned to Qin Feng: “What do you propose we do?”
