The Haven’s kitchen slled of coffee and toast, the morning light filtering through the windows, casting soft rays across the gray walls.

Kael pushed open Freya’s door, his hazel eyes bright with energy, a grin spreading across his face.

"Good morning, Freya," he said, his voice warm and magnetic.

Freya stood by her bed, fresh from a shower, her platinum-cyan hair damp, clinging to her neck in wet strands.

Her cyan t-shirt and dark pants were slightly damp, hugging her curves, her near-translucent skin glowing in the light.

She crossed to him, like a morning ritual now, her arms wrapping around his neck as she pressed her lips to his, soft at first, then deeper, a murmured "Good morning" against his mouth, her breath warm and minty.

Kael pulled back, his grin widening.

"Breakfast’s ready," he said, nodding toward the kitchen. "Figured I’d cook for a change."

Freya raised a brow, her blue eyes glinting with playful suspicion. "Why didn’t you let make it?" she asked, her tone teasing, stepping closer, her fingers trailing his arm. "Trying to steal my thunder?"

Kael chuckled, shaking his head. "I want you to taste my cooking sotis too," he said, his voice light but sincere.

"Can’t get too used to your delicious food—might spoil ." He winked, but his words carried a subtle nudge, keeping her at ease while steering the mont.

Freya’s lips curved, a soft laugh escaping her.

"You flatter too much," she purred, leaning in again, her kisses trailing from his lips to his neck, slow and sensual, her tongue flicking against his pulse, turning erotic, arousing.

Her hands slid down his chest, her touch bold, stirring heat in his core.

Kael’s breath hitched, but he stepped back, his hands gently catching hers.

"Easy," he said, voice low, a grin masking his caution. "Rhea’s waiting at the table."

He felt the shift in her energy, the sudden intensity, and his mind flashed to last night—Rhea’s loud moans, echoing through the silent Haven.

Freya heard her.

He realized, the pieces clicking.

Her aggression, her need to claim him—it was competition,

Rhea’s fire stoking Freya’s ice.

Soundproofing the room might be a smart investnt. Is it?

Freya’s eyes narrowed, a flicker of defiance crossing her face.

She yanked his shirt, pulling him back, her hands cupping his jaw, gripping tight, her nails grazing his skin.

"Are you avoiding , Kael?" she asked, her voice low, edged with accusation, her blue eyes searching his, daring him to lie.

"No," he said, eting her gaze, his tone steady, unflinching.

"Not avoiding you, Freya. Never." He softened his voice, his hands settling on her waist, pulling her closer, feeling her curves against him.

"Guess what? I’ve got a surprise for you—a gift. But I need you fresh for that, not tired. So, let’s have breakfast, and I’ll show you after Rhea leaves."

Freya’s heart pulsed, her mind racing—an intense sex session, more of his toys, a new ga to bind them closer?

Her lips curved into a subtle smile, her eyes glinting with anticipation.

"Fine," she murmured, stepping back, her posture regal, the queen reerging.

She followed him out, her hand brushing his as they crossed to the dining table, where Rhea sat, already digging into a plate of scrambled eggs and toast, her crimson hair loose, her casual tank top and pants a stark contrast to her usual superhero costu.

Rhea glanced up, her mouth full, her amber eyes narrowing at Kael’s raised brow.

"What?" she mumbled, swallowing hard, a smirk tugging her lips. "I was hungry."

"Nothing, eat," Kael said, amused, sliding into the chair opposite her.

Freya sat beside him, her movents graceful, her face cool as she leaned slightly into Kael’s space.

"Good morning, firefly," she said to Rhea, her voice smooth, her blue eyes glinting with a subtle challenge.

"Mmorm..." Rhea tried to reply, her mouth stuffed, then gulped, glaring back. "Good morning, ice-prick." Her tone was sharp, her smirk defiant, the nickna a jab that hung in the air.

Kael’s lips twitched, amused by their bizarre pet nas, the tension between them crackling like static, already.

He dug into his eggs, the buttery warmth grounding him as Freya and Rhea ate, the clink of forks loud in the strained silence.

Freya broke it, her voice casual but pointed, her eyes flicking to Rhea.

"So, firefly, your superhero costu finally get too tight? You know, from getting fat?" Her tone was sweet, venomous, her smile a blade.

Rhea’s fork paused, her glare sharpening, but a smirk curled her lips, her amber eyes glinting with malice.

"Nah, ice-prick. My costu got spoiled last night— you know I had a real good, intense, session with Kael. Had to toss it in the washing machine." She leaned back, her smirk widening, daring Freya to flinch. "Wasn’t it fun, Kael?"

Kael didn’t miss a beat, his expression calm, confident, refusing to let the tight spot trap him.

"Yeah, it was," he said, his voice steady, eting Rhea’s gaze, then Freya’s, unflinching.

He’d known this was coming the mont he opened his door to Rhea last night.

Hesitation would scream guilt; confidence was his shield.

Nothing wrong, just doing what I had do, he told himself, holding their stares.

Freya’s smile didn’t waver, but her eyes glead, a spark of rivalry igniting.

"Well," she said, her voice silky, leaning closer to Kael, her hand brushing his thigh under the table, "Kael’s got a surprise planned for today.

So, hurry up, firefly, eat your food and get the fuck out of the Haven so he can give it to ." She paused, her gaze locking on Rhea, her words dripping with intent. "The surprise."

Rhea chuckled, low and sharp, unfazed, her amber eyes glinting with amusent. "Oh, enjoy your surprise, iceprick," she said, her tone mocking as she shoved a final bite of toast into her mouth.

"Hope it’s at least half as fun as mine was." She stood, stretching, her tank top riding up to reveal a sliver of scarred skin, and sauntered to the corner where her freshly washed superhero costu hung, crimson and black, gleaming under the light.

She slipped it on, the fabric hugging her curves like a second skin, and turned to Kael, her smirk bold.

"For good luck," she purred, closing the distance and kissing him, her lips aggressive, hungry, her tongue flicking against his in a deliberate show for Freya.

Her amber eyes flicked to Freya mid-kiss, a challenge, sparks flying in the air as Freya’s gaze hardened, her fingers tightening around her fork.

Rhea pulled back, her smirk triumphant, and strode to the door.

"Later, Kael. Ice-prick," she said, her voice light but edged, and slipped out, the door clicking shut behind her, leaving a charged silence in her wake.

Freya turned to Kael, her blue eyes intense, a seductive smile curving her lips as she stood, closing the distance between them.

"So, where’s my surprise, Kael?" she asked, her voice low, suggestive, her hips swaying as she stepped closer.

"What are we playing with?" Her fingers grazed his chest, her touch a promise, her body radiating heat despite her icy deanor.

Kael’s grin was cryptic, his hazel eyes glinting with a mix of amusent and secrecy.

"We’ve gotta go out for it," he said, standing, his hand brushing hers, guiding her toward the door.

Freya’s eyes widened, a flicker of surprise crossing her face.

Not sex? she thought, her pulse quickening, confusion mingling with anticipation.

She’d expected toys, intimacy, a ga to rival Rhea’s night, but Kael’s words shifted the script.

"Out?" she echoed, her voice curious, but she followed, her hand slipping into his, fingers intertwining as they stepped into the morning air.

They walked side by side through the abandoned district’s empty alleys, the dawn’s gray light softening the edges of the world, their steps synchronized, their closeness like a couple’s, though the weight of Kael’s plan hung unspoken.

Freya’s damp hair caught the breeze, her shirt clinging to her curves, her blue eyes flicking to him, searching for clues.

He led her to a rundown house, its paint peeling, windows boarded, the air thick with dust and neglect.

Kael pushed open the creaking door, his expression unreadable, and stepped inside, Freya at his side.

The dim interior revealed a stark scene—a naked woman, gagged and tied to a chair, a collar blinking around her neck, her face bruised, her dark eyes wide with defiance despite her bonds.

The bear-woman from the warehouse, her human form restored.

Freya’s expression hardened, her blue eyes turning to ice, her voice a low hiss.

"You bitch," she spat, her anger raw, visceral, her body tensing as if ready to strike, the air crackling with her fury.
