Three months ago, continuation...

"How long until we reach Bohol by ship?" Paula asked,

"If we have no problems, we should arrive there after 24 hours." Chief Norman replied, hoping for a safe trip.

"That’s good." Paula said, almost pleased because she can’t afford to waste any ti, she needed to end the mission giving to her so she wouldn’t have to put everyone in risk and danger.

"This is my first ti being on a ship actually and seeing nothing but the skies and the vast blues of the seas is fascinating." She spoke softly, gazing at the view in front of her, taking in the peaceful sight.

She didn’t know sothing could still be so beautiful after everything that happened and experiencing sothing new for the first ti was truly refreshing. It helped Paula forget the world’s current chaos. She stayed leaning against the railings, srized by the sight.

It’s good to have a mont of peace like this for a while, at least there is still a part of the world where it isn’t tainted.

"Isn’t it? The first ti I was on a ship, I was also amazed by how much water was the only thing surrounding us." The chief chuckled as he spoke, rembering the ti he had his first voyage and it was a really morable thing and then he gave Paula a glance before speaking again, "But it’s amazing, too. you said it’s your first ti, and yet you are completely fine, unlike Rudy who has been on a ship many tis and still gets seasick," He laughed, shaking his head in amusent.

Paula chuckled as well, "I didn’t know that he had seasickness. Well, the other passengers are busy taking good care of him as we speak right now." She let out a small yawn, stretching her arms a bit.

The chief nodded, "Right, we have been travelling since yesterday in the van, you should sleep for the anti." Giving a gentle pat on Paula’s shoulder indicating for her to rest for now.

"Yes chief," Paula agreed with a smile, and turned, walking away from the railings of the ship. "You should rest too, Chief, if you have the ti." She added, stopping montarily and gaze back to the sea again.

"I will." The Chief smiled still looking at the vast seas. "But I love to feel the wind right now, it’s been a while after all" He murmur as the wind blows gently to them.

"Yes, the wind is refreshing. I’ll see you around later then, Chief." Paula agreed with a smile before heading forward. The chief waved at Paula in response.

Paula entered one of the empty cabins and laid down there. She closed her eyes, feeling how heavy her body was from their travels and then there it was again, the voice was still speaking inside her mind, but it was not as terrible as before at the mont. As if it’s cald and pleased at the mont.

Maybe because they were heading towards the location to where Freyah Lima is. Paula pondered. She tried to ask the voice why Freyah Lima would be the one to destroy the world.

But other than the repetitive voice like a broken recorder, that unknown voice didn’t give her much answer leaving her unanswered and confused but still going to obey.

But thinking about it, Freyah Lima posted about the apocalypse and everything that they would need to survive and it doesn’t make sense at all, just how in the world would such a person destroy the world? When it seed she was trying her best to save everyone? How would she destroy the world?

As Paula kept questioning it, the more the voice insisted inside her head.

Who are you?

How do you know about this?

And more than anything... Rather than Paula who was pretending to know the future... It seed Freyah Lima was soone who knew the future more than anyone else, but how and why... who is she really?

Kill her...

Kill Freyah Lima...

Freyah Lima will destroy the world,

She will destroy everything,

SO KILL HER!

But the more she pondered about it... The more the voice would start to intensify leading to Paula’s clutching her head that was like being hamred multiple tis leaving her to nothing but obey.

"Yes...I get it so stop" she whimpered, curling up on the bed as the voice inside her head intensified.

"Yes, Yes... I’m on my way to kill her. Just wait a little more ti." Paula gritted her teeth as she smacked her head repeatedly knowing that’s the only way to calm it down. This ti the voice subsided for a bit. Then she took deep breaths to calm herself down.

Keeping her eyes shut close as those whispers in her head still echoing repeatedly, not really giving her a break as if it didn’t want her to stray away or waste any mont, the more it insisted, the more Paula beca agitated to finish this mission.

It took her a while before exhaustion finally set in and Paula fell asleep. Giving herself a peaceful mont where she didn’t have to think of anything or hear the voice for a short while.

***

A few hours later...

Paula jolted out of her sleep when she suddenly fell on the floor, as if she was thrown out of her bed. She winced in pain as she hit the ground. However, she had no ti to recover or process what’s happening as she looked around and everything around her was falling down, needing to cover her head instinctively.

The ship was terribly shaking back and forth.

"Paula are you ok?!" Her cabin door burst open revealing Sion, who imdiately ran to help her.

"I’m good, What’s happening?" Paula asked, looking at him with a slight frown as she stood up with the help of the bed.

"We are in the middle of the storm! Rudy and two of the passengers were in the control room right now, making sure to control the ship in this storm." Sion explained with a hint of urgency.

"Is there sothing that I can do?" Paula wanted to help sohow. But the shaking of the ship was so terrible that she could barely stand up if she didn’t hold tightly on the bed.

"Chief, just tell to check on you and advise you not to go to the upper deck right now, or the large waves might hit you, it’s not safe so stay put here right now, I’m going to check on Rudy." Sion warned but reassured her that everything will be fine.

"Alright. I’ll stay put," Paula agreed, still holding on to the bed to support herself. Then Sion imdiately ran to the other room to check the others making sure everyone is Okay, Paula looked outside of the window of her cabin and there were strong waves hitting the ship left and right.

She folded both her arms together. "Oh please, let us all be safe and make it through the storm." She whispers her prayers with worries and uncertainty.

She would not have to deal with all of this, if it weren’t for the voice in her head she would never risk it. Once this was all over, she would return to Pampanga and live her life in peace with the other survivors there. No more going to dangerous situations like this. She doesn’t want to put anyone in danger when everything is already ssed up.

Paula and the entire crew were unable to sleep through the night due to the violent storm that battered the sea, their quiet prayers echoed silently hoping to make it out the night and continue their journey.

Ti had passed by...

"Paula... Paula..."

Paula opened her eyes, only to see the Chief looking at her with worry.

"Chief..." Paula slowly rose from the bed.

Her body was aching all over, probably due to a lot of shaking combined with the cold. Her voice was even hoarse.

"You have a light fever kid." The Chief said. "Here drink this," he said, giving a paracetamol and a bottle of water.

Paula imdiately took the bill and glanced outside the window. The skies were bright and the waves were calr than ever.

"The storm had passed by..." The Chief said. "But we have another problem. We don’t know exactly where we are right now. With the storm last night, it ssed up our route."

Paula clenched on the blankets of her bed. "At the very least everyone is safe. How is everyone? How is Rudy?"

"Rudy is still seasick. Sion is tending to him as we speak right now. One of the passengers is also sick at this mont and being tended by the other passengers."

Paula sighed. "What should we do right now?"

"We are still fixing the GPS of the ship. By then, we should be able to know our location soon."

"GPS, is the satellite still working?" Paula asked.

"Yes. It is still able to give us our exact direction before the storm hits. But right now, it got destroyed." The chief sighed. "I’ll bring you so porridge and bread. You should eat since you are taking dicine right now."

"Thank you, chief."

But once the GPS was restored later that night... they found themselves near the islands of Palawan.
