"Huh?" Raine Sinclair finally snapped out of her daydream while looking at her childhood photos. "Dad, what are you talking about?"

Evan Sinclair saw his daughter looking so shy and continued, "Don’t tell you don’t know why those two boys are being so attentive? I’ve been around the block; I see things clearly! Co on, tell , which one do you like? I’ll give you so advice!"

"Dad, there’s really nothing! Don’t let your imagination run wild!" Raine rubbed her temples, wondering why her father would bring this up.

Evan kept going, "In my opinion, Leon Grant is pretty great, very outstanding, and he’s more mature in many ways. But Mason Sullivan has been good to you for many years. Luckily, our Sinclair Family’s business is quite substantial. Let him marry into our family, and he definitely won’t dare bully you in the future!"

This was also because of the lessons learned from Jonas Hawthorne. If Evan Sinclair were to choose a son-in-law again, he wouldn’t just look at his strength or background.

His first choice would be soone who’s good to his daughter, soone without too many sches.

To avoid repeating past mistakes.

Raine continued to sigh, "Dad, there’s really nothing like that! Besides, I just got divorced. I really don’t want to get into a relationship right now. Plus, I’m pregnant. What man would want ?"

She wasn’t in the mood to discuss these things now. All she wanted was to give birth to her child and raise him well, and that would be more than enough.

Evan had a different opinion. He sized up his precious daughter for a long while and then let out a long sigh.

"I thought after experiencing a marriage, you’d have a deeper understanding of what love is all about."

It was the first ti Raine heard her father talk about these things with her, and she couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow in curiosity, "Dad, what are you trying to say?"

"Girl, life has many important things besides love. With n, just play around, don’t take it too seriously." As he spoke, Evan’s warm large hand gently patted her on the head.

The words seed full of both sighing and sentint.

Raine was left stunned.

Seeing his daughter pause, Evan said no more, just took the photo album back from her and began flipping through it.

"Look at how excellent you were in the past! Without Jonas Hawthorne, there’s still Leon Grant, and Mason Sullivan, there are plenty of good n in the world. You mustn’t lose sight of the bigger picture while hung up over the small details!"

Raine was montarily speechless, "Dad..."

"Of course, when it cos to matters of the heart, you have to make your own decisions. I’m just afraid you’ll miss out and regret it later on!"

Evan didn’t say much, just enough to make a point.

He used to think that letting his daughter make her own choices was key, which is why he let her choose Jonas Hawthorne.

Now, it seed it was ti to talk so sense into her.

Only after experiencing enough could those words really sink in.

Previously, she probably wouldn’t even bother to listen.

And Evan’s thoughts were correct because, after he finished speaking, he quickly saw his daughter fall into deep thought.

"It’s getting late. Get so rest." Evan patted his daughter on the shoulder once more before getting up the stairs.

One can’t push too hard; understanding has to co from within.

After Evan left, the large living room quickly fell into silence.

Raine wasn’t in a hurry to go upstairs; she had napped in the afternoon, so she wasn’t very sleepy.

Alone on the sofa, she hugged her knees, replaying the past few years of her life over and over in her mind, unable to calm down...

There are so lessons you have to experience firsthand to truly understand their deeper aning.

A sleepless night.

The next day.

Raine got up early and didn’t idle around but headed straight to the company.

After a simple morning eting, she went to see Sean Ford.

Today, Easton Yancy was going to inspect the departnt’s company and arranged for Mason Sullivan to accompany Raine there.

Earlier, Easton Yancy had already given Mason special training, so he was more than capable of handling these matters.

As soon as they arrived at Talon Bank, the receptionist led Raine and Mason to the VIP waiting room.

After about two minutes, Mason started getting restless, looking around, "This Sean Ford, clearly scheduled for ten o’clock; it’s already five past, and we’re still waiting! Does he have any sense of ti?"

"Didn’t you hear the receptionist say President Ford is eting an important guest?" Raine smiled slightly, not the slightest bit anxious, far more composed than Mason. "Let’s wait. Maybe we’ll even get lunch by noon."

"I wonder if the bank’s food is any good..." Mason mused, expressing curiosity.

Speaking of which, being able to score a al at the bank, that wouldn’t be too bad?

The two waited for about ten more minutes before soone ca to greet them.

"You’re Ms. Sinclair, right? You look really beautiful, and your style is admirable!" spoke a well-dressed female secretary, her face adorned with light makeup and an expression full of admiration, especially with her gentle features that gave a sense of inexplicable closeness.

Raine naturally wouldn’t be stingy with her smiles, especially given how well the other woman spoke.

"Thank you." The pleasantries exchanged, she went straight to the point, "Is President Ford still busy?"

It ant they had been waiting for a while.

The secretary hesitated for a mont, her smile sowhat embarrassed, "I’m sorry for the wait, Ms. Sinclair. It was a last-minute arrangent; I hope you don’t mind."

This ti Raine didn’t say anything, but Mason couldn’t wait, "How much longer? Ms. Sinclair’s ti is also very valuable."

Such words Raine couldn’t say, but Mason saying them was quite normal.

The secretary was wondering how to respond when suddenly she heard sothing in her Bluetooth earpiece. After listening carefully, her smile returned to her face, and she quickly said, "Ms. Sinclair, you can go see President Ford now."

"Alright." Raine had no intention of making things difficult for her, getting up and following her out.

A group was erging in front of them.

Leading the way was a man in a striped black suit, his hair swept back, and under his thick black eyebrows was a pair of hawk-like eyes, sharp and penetrating.

He was Finn Wyatt, the CEO of Haworth.

He was at Talon today to discuss so matters.

Just erging from Sean Ford’s office, he brushed past Raine.

Raine didn’t see him, but he noticed her.

His footsteps suddenly stopped, and he turned, his gaze unabashedly following Raine’s departing figure.

The person following him imdiately halted, narrowly avoiding bumping into him!

The secretary quickly turned back following Finn Wyatt’s gaze, asking out loud what was on his mind, "Isn’t that Ms. Sinclair from Sinclair Group? What’s she doing here? Could she be here for a loan?"

"A loan?" Finn Wyatt raised an eyebrow.

"Sinclair Group has expanded quite a bit in real estate these past years, with frequent capital flows and loans multiplying several tis. However..." The secretary paused abruptly.

Finn Wyatt didn’t prompt her but instead retracted his gaze, letting it fall on her face.

The secretary shivered slightly, hurriedly replying, "However, now that it’s run by a woman, who knows what the future holds?"

Hearing this, Finn Wyatt gave a cold smile, "Don’t underestimate this woman."

Raine Sinclair, the woman who managed to captivate Jonas Hawthorne.
