Jonas Hawthorne put down his phone, a layer of coldness shading his deep black eyes.
Leo Keane, who had hurriedly co over and greeted the director, couldn’t help but ask curiously, "Who were you calling?"
Jonas turned around, answered with a question, "Everything arranged?"
"Rest assured! The director is my uncle, Candace Ford will be fine!" Leo patted his chest confidently.
Ever since Jonas had ntioned there wouldn’t be a new sister-in-law last ti, he directly referred to Candace by her na.
Hearing this, Jonas nodded slightly.
Unable to contain his curiosity, Leo rolled his eyes and asked again, "I heard from Aaron that your forr sister-in-law drove you back?"
Since Aaron Jacobs also contacted Leo yesterday, he knew of Jonas’s plans for today.

He barely started speaking when Joel quickly covered Leo’s mouth, lowering his voice to scold, "Quiet down! Don’t make a fuss!"
Leo’s face was mostly covered, leaving only his eyes visible, blinking as he acknowledged!
Joel slowly withdrew his hand, continuing, "This is Hawthorne Family business, let’s pretend we don’t know, don’t get involved!"
Having risen from an intern at the hospital to the director, aside from the Shelby Family’s overall strength, Joel’s capability and emotional intelligence are formidable.

"Then get yourself a wife quickly!" Joel gave him a disdainful look, returning the topic to Candace, "Don’t spread this information, act as if unaware! Understood?"
"I understand!" Leo waved his hand; though sotis loose-lipped, he understood what could and couldn’t be shared!
Throughout Sedonia, everyone knew not to offend Jonas Hawthorne!
That would be worse than death!
Yet... Leo furrowed his brow, his curiosity persistent, "And Ms. Ford’s child, is it really unlikely to survive?"
"Not necessarily. If she’s willing to actively receive treatnt, maintain a calm disposition without extre emotions, there’s hope for the baby to be born." Joel pondered for a mont before speaking aningful words.
"Oh..." Leo nodded.
Currently, the child serves as Candace’s protection; if lost, competition between her and Raine Sinclair becos purely fair, determining who wins or loses?
Both won having been with Jonas, who will he choose?

Jonas had just entered to see Candace almost crying her heart out.
