When Tang Ze rushed to Peak, the employees at the entrance were stifling their laughter. Although they hadn’t seen their deputy general for a long ti, his purpose for showing up now certainly wasn’t to show up for work but for soone inside who was having a promotional photoshoot.
Sure enough, Tang Ze headed straight for the makeup room, but at that mont, Dr. Sun stood at the door, arching his eyebrows at him, "Feeling anxious now?"
"Is she inside?"
"She is, but she has work to do. Wait in your own office." Dr. Sun also planned to give Tang Ze a bit of a hard ti.
With no one in the room speaking out, Tang Ze couldn’t just barge in, so he said, "I’ll wait outside then."
"Suit yourself," Sun Ling said and then pushed the door to enter the makeup room.
Cao Yixuan, peering through the crack of the door, saw the figure outside and couldn’t help but slightly lift the corners of her mouth.
"Don’t let him off so easily," Sun Ling advised from above Cao Yixuan’s head, "Don’t let him think you’re easy to bully."
Cao Yixuan suppressed the urge, cald her emotions, and imrsed herself in work, but knowing her answer was just outside the door, no one could resist the allure lurking behind it. What if he regretted it? What if he left?
Thus, Cao Yixuan took the photos with trepidation, but the photographer and Sun Ling communicated, realizing that Cao Yixuan was not in the right state.
Looking at the photos on the cara, Sun Ling sighed and eventually said to Cao Yixuan, "Let’s resolve this first, otherwise, I’m afraid you won’t be able to finish shooting today."
Cao Yixuan imdiately felt like she had been granted a reprieve, breathing a sigh of relief.
"Just like that?"
Cao Yixuan smiled faintly.
Sun Ling nodded and then called out to the people in the room, "Step out for a mont, don’t delay our deputy general’s major life event. I’m afraid he’ll co looking for you all to settle scores later."
Sun Ling spoke loudly, intentionally for the ears of the person outside.
Tang Ze pushed open the door, then looked helplessly at Sun Ling.
"There, let’s go, let’s go!" Sun Ling, acting clownish, led the staff to the door, then warned him again in a tone like a family mber, "Don’t bully my sister-in-law."
Upon hearing the word ’sister-in-law,’ Tang Ze didn’t deny it, and Cao Yixuan imdiately blushed.
The door was quickly closed by curious onlookers, Tang Ze looked toward Cao Yixuan, and Cao Yixuan looked at herself in the mirror. For a mont, the atmosphere between them was sowhat awkward, yet also intensely intimate.
After a pause, Tang Ze walked towards Cao Yixuan and froze in front of her.
Cao Yixuan t Tang Ze’s gaze, her cheeks burning hot, "That... the Weibo thing... "
"I’m not as good as you say," Tang Ze interrupted her, speaking earnestly, "I don’t have outstanding abilities or any other strengths, just a very ordinary man, and I haven’t been good enough to you."
