Chapter 434: 434 has family.

Over the next few days, the training environnt returned to normal.

After Shi Lan beca famous overnight, all the instructors at the Lion and Tiger Camp looked at her with new respect. Even Instructor Ren stopped causing trouble and let Shi Lan rest on the sidelines as much as possible.

The thirty children gradually adapted to life in the group, but sotis they got along too well, being overly affectionate. After so thought, Shi Lan consulted with King Yan, and they decided to introduce competitive elents in the last two days.

On the penultimate day, Instructor Ren announced the final competition, comprising five events. Each event would be scored comprehensively, and the last six children in the ranking would be eliminated.

This elimination was not only from the Lion and Tiger Camp but also from the entire training camp.

Hearing such severe consequences, the children started to take things seriously. Although they had kept up with their training tasks over the past few days, there would inevitably be differences in their physical fitness.

Knowing that six of them would be eliminated, the children imdiately beca nervous, creating an atmosphere completely different from the playful mood of the previous days.

With competition, so would want to win, and those who wanted to win would start to harbor selfish intentions.

Human nature is sotis fragile, so Shi Lan wanted to see what kind of ntality they would have when faced with competition.

It is the sa with everyone; only when their interests are affected do they understand how difficult choices can be.

The entire afternoon, the atmosphere at the training base was unusually tense. The thirty normally eloquent children suddenly fell silent, seeming to be friendless, with every one of them on edge.

Shi Lan watched from the side, helping to record data. Although these children did not engage in major friction, there were plenty of minor sches.

In the evening, the sunset filled the sky.

By now, all the children were drenched in sweat and looking disheveled, showing that they had given their all.

The competition scores were now in Shi Lan’s hands. She looked at the thirty of them and said, “Right now, none of us knows who’s first and who’s last. But if I gave you the opportunity to give up your spot and let soone else advance, would you be willing to do so?”

The children looked at each other, bewildered.

“No one’s willing, right?”

The thirty children still had no reply.

“There’s nothing shaful about that. The reason I asked you this question is that I don’t want you to be morally blackmailed. Being generous does not an you are kind, and refusing does not an you are wicked. After all, everyone has the right to pursue their dreams, and no one has the authority to demand others to sacrifice for their own difficulties. Do you understand?”

“Moreover, in a state of fair competition, respecting your opponents ans giving your best effort. Got it?”

“Understood!” everyone said loudly.

Hearing everyone’s resounding voices, Shi Lan wrote the results of the competition directly on the training camp’s blackboard.

She listed only the scores of the six to be eliminated without ntioning nas, and so of the rankings were quite good.

All eyes were wide open, staring at her in confusion.

“Do you know why we had this competition? Because the choices you’re about to face will be crueler than this contest. In the training camp, you are friends, brothers, but outside of it, you are rivals. You must be curious about these results and why these six people were eliminated. It’s because they did not respect themselves, nor their opponents. If you want to win, you must exert your full strength and win fair and squarely; that’s the only way to remain invincible in the entertainnt industry.”

“Today is just a minor contest, but in the future, you’ll face the dazzling stage of stardom. Before you beco artists, you should first be good people; otherwise, the extent of your character’s decay is the speed at which you will fall from grace.”

“Today, every word I’ve said here is sothing I hope you’ll rember. Rember this afternoon and the monts of conflict and struggle. When faced with similar choices in the future, I hope you can think clearly about who you are, what you want to achieve, and whether what you’re doing is right or wrong.”

“Every one of us has the right to pursue happiness, but the thing you pursue should never co at the expense of others,” Shi Lan said. “I hope you rember this well and I also hope that tomorrow, when you walk out of these doors, you still remain friends.”

After she finished speaking, everyone fell silent, probably reflecting on her words.

The two coaches standing by, deeply admired Shi Lan after hearing her speak.

She was not much older than them, but in terms of character and ability, she was far superior.

She was brave and strategic, asured in her actions; although she appeared cold and aloof, her heart was warm.

“Tonight is your last night at the Lion and Tiger Camp, so the instructors have agreed to cancel the evening training to let you have free ti. After three signals, you’re dismissed.”

In fact, over these few days, Shi Lan had already taught these kids many things.

These children, who were spoiled at ho, had not yet been beaten down by society, which is why Shi Lan ca to train them personally. She knew that as they were about to enter the adult world, they needed soone to set a benchmark for them.

She had given them everything they needed and told them about the dangers of the adult world. She had done all that she could.

After announcing the dismissal, Shi Lan turned to leave, but then the children called out to her.

“Sister An Lan…”

Seeing the kids rushing towards her, Shi Lan quickly dodged, “Don’t cling to , hey!”

Damn it, I have a family.

“Sister…”

“You roll away too,” Shi Lan said, nudging the little rascal’s leg.

“None of you are allowed to hug my sister, I’m her real brother here, bunch of stinky n.”

The group of kids started scuffling, and Shi Lan smiled before taking the opportunity to leave. Then, Instructor Ren ca up to Shi Lan and said, “I’m sorry for giving you a hard ti during the first two days.”

“Can I ask why now?” Shi Lan inquired.

“It was the Lian Family, they spread rumors about you to , making believe you were… a girl with immoral behavior, that’s why I was so strict with you,” Instructor Ren explained. Seeing Shi Lan frown, he quickly added, “Mr. Yan has already confronted the Lian Family, and he gave them a good scolding.”

Shi Lan snorted coldly.

Of course, he did.

“I used to have certain prejudices against artists, but after spending these few days together, I’ve realized that these kids are just drears after all. You’ve changed my attitude toward this profession,” he said.

“Instructor Ren, with that attitude toward girls, you’re going to end up single,” Shi Lan teased him purposely.

“Uh… I’ll definitely change my ways!”

“You should go and run thirty laps with a weight, that might make feel better.”

Then, late at night, many heard the sound of soone running laps on the playground downstairs…
