Chapter 243: 243 Don’t bully , I will take revenge Chapter 243: 243 Don’t bully , I will take revenge After last night’s major battle, the boss had beco famous overnight.
Since last night, teams and brand representatives had started contacting Tang Ze, and so smaller productions had sent over scripts.
Tang Ze couldn’t help but beam with joy. In the past, to secure resources for An Lan, he had begged everyone he could, only to settle for leftovers. Among the three artists he managed, only An Lan had the worst resources and treatnt, yet she was the one he cared about the most.
Now, finally, brand representatives were seeking him out, and he even had choices. Tang Ze took the information and went to see the top executives at Sky King.
When he approached the artist director with a smile, the director was having breakfast and, knowing it was about An Lan, didn’t even look up, saying, “Leave it there, I’ll talk about it when I have ti.”
“Director, please take a look. An Lan’s popularity isn’t bad either, especially since…”
“But she made Kong Lin lose face, you should know how much effort we’ve put into promoting Kong Lin. Plus, both junior and senior managers don’t have a high opinion of her, I think these resources could be better used on soone else.”
The artist director casually threw the materials Tang Ze handed him into the trash can.
“If you really care about her, let her obediently hand over the million she earned. After all, the money she made doesn’t even belong to her. By the way, colleagues from the legal departnt went there this morning. Since An Lan is so hard to please, they went to the film set.”
After hearing this, Tang Ze left the director’s office with a livid face.
And on his way to the car, he called Sun Ling, “Did the people from the legal departnt already go to see the boss?”
“They arrived early in the morning, sitting at the set like three lords. But don’t worry, the boss didn’t suffer, she completely ignored those idiots. The boss said they are just lackeys and not worthy to talk to her, so she just ignored them.”
Tang Ze sighed in relief and slowed his pace, “Keep updated if there’s anything.”
Sun Ling hung up the phone, thinking that if it were about a fight, Tang Ze would still be useful, but for other matters, the boss would handle it herself.
…
It was already hot in Yancheng, not to ntion the nearly 40-degree heat at the film set.
The actors and staff were all incredibly busy, and the Sky King people really did act like lords, sitting under an umbrella with impatient expressions, staring at Shi Lan filming nearby.
Sun Ling was also very busy, running errands for the boss, offering tea and water. She barely managed to run back under the umbrella for a towel when the Sky King people grabbed her, asking, “When is An Lan going to be done filming?”
“You ca at the wrong ti. Today An Lan has six consecutive scenes, she’s almost wrapping up, and Director Tang doesn’t dare delay, why don’t you go and speak to Director Tang?”
The group was frustrated, then said, “At least buy us two bottles of water.”
This ti, Sun Ling found it even more ridiculous, saying, “Gentleman, please understand sothing. I am An Lan’s assistant, she pays my salary; I am not obligated to serve Sky King’s people, am I?”
They were so angry they wanted to hit soone.
Finally, the head of the legal departnt couldn’t stand it any longer and went to negotiate with Director Tang for so free ti. Director Tang, hesitant to interfere in private affairs of another company, agreed to pause for ten minutes.
Now, An Lan couldn’t find any excuse, could she?
Shi Lan wiped her sweat and touched up her makeup, checking the ti. Those idiots had been sitting there for almost two hours. She then told Sun Ling, “Let’s go over and et Sky King’s elite team.”
With that, Shi Lan approached the three n.
“Miss An, Mr. Qu has sent us to invite you to the Sky King office to discuss your contract in detail.”
“What if I don’t?” Shi Lan countered the three.
“Then we’ll spend the day here hashing it out with you. We all know what happened yesterday. You anonymously submitted to Yilong and won a million-dollar prize. According to the contract, you should hand over a portion to the company.”
“Discussing the contract with ?” Shi Lan chuckled, looked at them, and asked, “My contract states a twenty percent share for films and fifteen percent for business. So in your view, which category does my Yilong prize money fall under?”
The three young n, prepared, said, “No matter which category, the contract clearly states that any earnings during the term of the contract, as a company artist, should be shared with the company according to the contractual ratio.”
“I rember there’s a prerequisite to that clause, isn’t there? It should involve activities arranged by the company. Did you conveniently leave that part out?” Shi Lan coolly countered, “Playing dumb with , are you?”
The three were montarily stunned, not understanding why An Lan had suddenly beco so sharp.
“Okay, there is such a prerequisite. Indeed, your inco must be shared with the company according to the ratio only in activities arranged by the company. This ans you participated in Yilong’s call for submissions on your own, took private jobs behind the company’s back, and violated the company contract.”
The other side pinned another hat on her, clearly a pre-planned move by this young team, notorious for setting traps, no wonder they had gained the brothers’ trust.
If An Lan didn’t agree to share the money, then it would be handled as a breach of contract.
Once the penalty for violation was ntioned, who would dare refuse to share the money with the company?
However…
“I advise you three to go back and read An Lan’s contract again. There’s not a single clause that says I can’t take private jobs. Trying to scam , are you? Or is it that you want to expose why that clause isn’t in the contract?”
The three n, faced with being called out by the lady, were utterly unable to retaliate.
“Not to ntion how many unreasonable clauses are in this contract, are you trying to make this contract public? Last night I couldn’t sleep, so I thoroughly reviewed the contract from start to finish. I found forty-three unreasonable points. How about we discuss it now, the difference between an illegal and a legal contract?”
“Co, Sun Ling, print out the photos I’ve marked on my phone. I’ve got so issues to discuss with the Sky King’s colleagues regarding illegal contracts.”
At the ntion of an illegal contract, their faces changed, and sweat began to bead on their foreheads, streaming down their faces.
“It’s too hot, I feel a bit uncomfortable, why don’t we do this another day?” The three ca up with a horrible excuse to leave.
Shi Lan watched the expressions of the three, sneered, then leaning on the table, told them, “Didn’t I say last night? Don’t bully , because I will get even.”
“Since you all aren’t feeling well, I won’t keep you; we can discuss the contract issues on another day.”
The three were tense, quickly gathered their docunts, and fled from the set.
Shi Lan watched the three n leave dejectedly, stood up straight, and scoffed.
“Boss, kudos to you!” Sun Ling watched them run off in a panic, giving Shi Lan a thumbs up.
