The skies bled twilight.
Ashes from the fallen Devourspawn still floated in the air, scattering like fragnts of a broken nightmare. The ruins groaned beneath their feet as if the world itself mourned the passing of sothing ancient.
Elias stood in the crater, the glow of his eyes dimming slowly. His chest heaved. Blood leaked from his nose and lips, but he didn’t care.
"I killed it," he whispered.
"No," said Ishael, stepping toward him, her voice low and grim. "You unleashed sothing worse."
And then—
The air cracked.
Like glass shattering in every direction.
Reality bent, groaned—and split open above them like a curtain drawn back too far.
From the tear in the sky, Steve stepped through.
Not hidden.
Not subtle.
He no longer resembled the charming predator in a suit. No, this was Steve in his truest form—his body stretched tall and thin, composed of crimson flas and shadows. His grin was too wide, his eyes two pits of seething, black fla.
Around his neck hung the shattered remains of past Monarchs.
"Elias Black," Steve said, voice echoing with a thousand screams. "You’ve made a ss."
---
Face to Face
Elias raised his hand, soul-fire crackling in his palm.
"I’ve made a stand."
Steve chuckled.
"Against ? You’re not even complete."
He moved faster than thought, reappearing inches from Elias, fingers extended. Elias barely had ti to raise a shield—Tether Shield activated mid-breath.
The impact blasted him back into a pillar of stone.
He groaned, coughing up blood.
"You upgraded," Steve mused. "Cute."
Ishael raised her hand to defend—but Steve flicked two fingers, and a blast of corruption sent her sprawling.
Elias stood slowly, wiping blood from his mouth.
"I’m not afraid of you."
"You should be," Steve whispered. "Because this ti... I didn’t co to kill you."
That stopped Elias cold.
"Then why?"
Steve stepped forward, his eyes gleaming.
"I ca to claim you."

The Choice
> [SYSTEM WARNING]
Soul Pressure Exceeding Acceptable Threshold
Core Cracking: 13%
Suggestion: Evacuate or Accept Corruption
The world darkened.
Elias’s vision blurred.
Inside his mind, the System and Architect code scread in conflict. The Crown within him pulsed—responding to Steve’s presence.
They were connected.
He felt it.
Steve was the key that broke him. The shadow that created him. His tether to everything he wanted to escape.
But now... Elias was sothing else.
And he had one choice.
Surrender to the corruption.
Or forge his own dominion.
---
Elias straightened his back. His bones cracked, but he refused to kneel.
"I refuse," he said, voice hoarse but steady.
"To what?" Steve asked.
"To be yours. To be anyone’s. I’m not the devil’s toy."

The Clash
Their fists collided in a storm of fla and shadow.
The ground split.
Ruins imploded.
Winds scread around them as their energies clashed, two hellborn titans exchanging raw destruction.
Elias twisted mid-air and slamd his palm into Steve’s chest—Soul Lock active. Steve snarled, his chest igniting, but he countered with a blast of void corruption that tore across Elias’s ribs.
Ishael, bloody but alive, began casting sigils from the side—amplifying Elias’s aura.
He felt it.
The Crown no longer controlling him.
It served him.
And as that realization set in—Elias summoned the Blood Pact Sigil, carving its runes into the air with his own essence.
Steve hesitated.
"What are you doing?"
"Rewriting the code," Elias said. "You made your vessel."
Now he grinned.
"I’ll make you my fuel."
---
Final Blow
The sigils glowed—red, deep, ancient.
Elias clapped his hands together.
> [Blood Pact Sigil – Engaged]
Steve’s Power: 33% Bound
Elias Power: Ascending
"I revoke your na," Elias roared. "I sever the Crown’s link!"
The ground beneath them exploded into molten light.
Steve scread—not in pain, but in rage.
"You think you can erase ?! I AM THE CROWN!"
"No," Elias whispered, stepping forward, flas crackling at his feet.
"You were just the first mistake."
And with a final, soul-infused strike, Elias drove his fist into Steve’s chest.
Light swallowed the world.
---
Aftermath
When the dust settled, Steve was gone.
Not dead. Not truly.
But banished.
His power scattered like ash in the wind.
Ishael limped over, helping Elias stay on his feet.
"You banished a Monarch," she said, awe in her voice.
"Not just a Monarch," Elias muttered. "My shadow."
But even as he spoke, sothing new whispered in his mind.

This ti—he would burn a path forward.
The world had changed.
And Elias could feel it in every breath.
The mont Steve vanished into the system fracture, it wasn’t just his presence that disappeared—it was his influence. All across the system realm, corrupted regions began to glitch. Forbidden doors creaked open. The static in Elias’s mind... lessened.
But it wasn’t over.
The echoes of power left behind still humd beneath his skin like sothing unfinished. And worse—others had noticed.

A Temporary Calm
They camped in a forgotten shard between realms—a floating ruin lit by dying stars and scattered code. Elias sat shirtless, back against a crumbling pillar, tendrils of glowing crimson ink threading beneath his skin. His wounds were healing slowly. Too slowly.
Ishael approached with a stitched robe, tossing it at him.
"You keep breaking everything," she said.
Elias grinned faintly and slipped the robe over his shoulders. "Old habits."
"You know what this ans, don’t you?" she asked, sitting beside him. Her white hair was tangled, a cut blooming just below her left eye. "The other Monarchs... they’ll co for you now."
"They’re welco to try."
"You barely survived Steve."
"I’m not the sa anymore."
And he wasn’t.
That fight had changed him.
Not just in strength. In purpose.
Before, he was running.
Now, he was building.
---
The First Follower
That night, as Ishael rested, Elias walked the edge of the floating ruin alone. Stars shimred above, and a faint mist crawled through the broken stone paths.
Then—
He heard the soft shuffle of feet.
He turned.
A boy no older than twelve stood before him.
Hollow-eyed. Dressed in shredded rags.
Elias froze. "Where did you—?"
The boy’s mouth moved, but the voice that ca wasn’t his.
"You’ve opened the fracture," it said. "The Crown stirs."
Elias frowned. "Who are you?"
The boy tilted his head. "A remnant. A warning. A gift."
And suddenly—he changed.
The boy shimred into light and exploded into a cascade of runes, which wrapped around Elias’s forearm, branding a new mark into his skin.

Elias’s heart pounded.
It had begun.
He was no longer just surviving.
He was creating a Kingdom.
---
The Monarchs Stir
Far across the fractal wastelands, in the Throne of Echoes, the remaining Monarchs gathered.
A circle of shadows.
None of them sat—yet.
A tall woman of silver fire paced, her hands dripping spectral chains.
"The boy defeated Steve," she said. "Banished him."
A being of smoke and bone snarled. "The fragnt chose him. The Crown bleeds its will into his soul."
"And what of it?" hissed the smallest among them, a thing wrapped in hundreds of eyes. "Shall we fear one boy?"
The room crackled.
And then, a figure erged from the dark, taller than the rest.
Older. Quieter.
His voice was like dust falling on graves.
"You fear him," he said. "Because he carries my design."
The other Monarchs went still.
"You created him?" the fire-woman whispered.
"I designed him," said the tall one. "But I did not shape who he beca."
A pause.
Then—
"He must die."
---
Preparation
Back in the ruins, Elias stared at the sigil on his arm.
He knew what it ant.
He wasn’t just a wielder of power now.
He was a symbol.
And symbols attract worship... or destruction.
"First step," he muttered, turning to Ishael as she stirred, "we gather allies."
"You an followers?"
"No," he said, eyes hardening.
"I an soldiers."
