Chapter Ch101.2 - Extra 7: Little Overlord Shao SiJia (2)
Bai XiaoFei had never been so embarrassed in her life. However, she didn’t have the courage to scratch Shao SiJia’s face. With nowhere else to vent her anger on, she could only sob and run to Deng Han and complain.
Bai XiaoFei was a pretty girl and had a good track record, so she was popular in their departnt. Bai XiaoFei figured that Deng Han would be on her side on this. However, after hearing about their fight, Deng Han’s first reaction was to say: “Well, I’ll go and ask Shao SiJia about the situation.”
Then, he tried to comfort Bai XiaoFei with so half-hearted words: “Since you weren’t hurt, there’s no need to take it to heart. SiJia is still new here. Since you’re her senior, you should be more tolerant.”

If they had won this collaboration, the rest of the year would’ve been much easier for their departnt. Nobody expected such a shoo-in contract to fail, and it inevitably made everyone depressed.
Then, the reason for the collaboration’s failure ca out. What’s more, Bai XiaoFei had found out about it and promptly began urging everyone to start a crusade against Shao SiJia.
And so people really were set off by Bai XiaoFei. Because if the Tong collaboration had been signed, they would’ve had the chance to get the company’s overseas travel award this year.
Shuttle Technology’s offices utilized an open floor plan, so Shao SiJia often heard their harsh remarks. At first, she simply concentrated on her work and turned a deaf ear to their words. She would either be on the phone with custors or be out visiting custors.
But two days later, when she arrived at work, she had a military knife in her hands.
Deng Han: “....”

Next to Shao SiJia’s desk was a potted plant of unknown species. When she sat down on her chair, Shao SiJia calmly pulled out the military knife from its sheath and smoothly stabbed it deep into the plant’s trunk.
As a result, the office was quiet once more. It left Bai XiaoFei furious.
That day, Bai XiaoFei waited until Shao SiJia left the office to visit a custor and united several of her dissatisfied colleagues together. They all went to Deng Han and tried to pressure him into punishing Shao SiJia. They suggested that he simply fire her directly.
They even had a legitimate excuse. This person not only affected the performance of their entire departnt, but she also threatened everyone’s ntal health.
Deng Han was left feeling helpless. It was normal for the departnt to feel resentful. After all, it was true that this one contract with the Tongs had such a significant impact on their end-of-year performance goals.
What’s more, unless he could disclose Shao SiJia’s family connection with the boss, Deng Han didn’t dare protect her too much. Otherwise, his subordinates would feel that he was too biased and not a very good team leader.
Finally, after the extrely pressured Deng Han sweated for a while, Shao SiJia ca back. The workplace had always been a complicated environnt to traverse, and this was even more true in the cutthroat business industry. Infighting and intrigue were rampant in their departnt. But as long as it didn’t affect their departnt’s overall situation, Deng Han would usually turn a blind eye. However, they were currently trying to crowd out their boss’s family mber, ah. Deng Han really didn’t know what he should do in this situation.

Shao SiJia then said: “With this contract and all the previous ones I’ve managed to get, I’ll have recouped almost half the amount we lost from the Tong collaboration case. I’m visiting another custor tomorrow, and if it goes well, I’ll be able to make up for the lost amount completely.”

She never expected Shao SiJia, a newbie who hadn’t worked for long, to be able to pull such a grand client. If Deng Han really allowed this to happen, then Bai XiaoFei resolved to quit!

Shao SiJia was a hard worker. Every day she would call countless custors and visit plenty of companies. As long as it was a business nobody in her departnt had contacted yet, she would call them one by one and offer contracts. If they haven’t signed in the initial phone call, she would visit them. Eventually, Shao SiJia had beco a recognized figure by companies in the sa industry. Shao SiJia’s sincere attitude and professionalism, regardless of whether she got a contract signed or not, made her highly thought of in their business circles.
Recently, there had been a gathering of so top people in the industry. The marketing director that was so hard to get in touch with had coincidentally attended this gathering. He casually ntioned to so people that his company was preparing to do a blitz of internet advertising this year, and unexpectedly, many of his associates recomnded Shao SiJia. It made the marketing director curious, and eventually, he took the initiative and contacted her.
Also, Bai XiaoFei was a senior employee. She already had her hands on all the big companies, so she looked down on the smaller business and never bothered to contact them. She focused on the larger corporations and stuck the lower employees to the other, ‘less important’ companies.
So Shao SiJia was telling the truth when she said she didn’t contact Bai XiaoFei’s custors and truly did contact the marketing director in a bout of good luck. Bai XiaoFei had been too focused on the more prominent companies and let this opportunity go herself.
Everyone in Bai XiaoFei’s group was speechless, and Deng Han felt a little gloomy. Bai XiaoFei’s group had been relying on their good work performance to make trouble with Deng Han, but now sobody finally suppressed their arrogance.
Deng Han patted Shao SiJia on her shoulder and said: “SiJia, once you’ve passed the probationary period, I’ll assign you two assistants.”
Shao SiJia stared at the hand on her shoulder and then gave Deng Han a aning full hum. It made Deng Han quickly take his hand back.
He glanced at the dagger stabbed on the plant and felt a lingering fear.

When Shao SiJia left work, the sky was still bright.
I the past two months, she had been making phone calls and visiting clients during the day, then sorting out contracts and docunts at night. Sotis she worked so late that she would et Ke MuZi when she got out of work.

Unfortunately, Tong SuHong refused to tell him where Shao SiJia was. LiangYanQing had to coax her for a long ti before finally finding out that Shao SiJia was working sowhere in the Science and Technology Park. He didn’t even know which company she worked in.
But Liang YanQing’s obsession never faded, and he resolutely waited on the gates of the park several tis after normal working hours. However, Shao SiJia usually stayed in work till late, so Liang YanQing never actually bumped into her. He had already considered giving up; his last effort paid off.

After that, she got into a taxi and left.
