Chapter 39: Chapter 39: My Girlfriend Is Super Amazing

At his praise, Holly Winslow’s eyes curved into crescents. She tilted her little face up and asked expectantly, "Dad, my teacher complinted . Is there a reward?"

Wyatt Winslow glanced at her before turning his gaze back to the road. Without asking what she wanted, he said, "Yes."

Holly kept her eyes on him. Seeing the corner of his mouth twitch up, she giggled. "I don’t need a reward. I just want my dad."

The car swerved slightly. Wyatt quickly steadied the steering wheel. The inertia made Holly lurch to the side.

Wyatt reached out a hand to steady her. "Keep your seatbelt on."

After that, Holly obediently refastened her seatbelt and didn’t say another word to distract Wyatt.

The car passed the Delian Community and headed toward the county center, stopping in the mall’s parking garage.

Holly asked, puzzled, "Dad, where are we going?"

"Shopping." Wyatt didn’t elaborate.

The two of them took the elevator to the first floor, the electronics departnt. Wyatt led her to the computer counter.

"This brand of computers is pretty good. Pick a color you like."

Back in her first year of high school, Holly had ntioned wanting a computer, but he hadn’t agreed at the ti, afraid it would interfere with her studies.

Holly glanced at the expensive price tags and shook her head. "Dad, I don’t want a computer."

Years ago, she’d wanted a computer to video chat with Yvonne Lewis, who was far away overseas. Now that she no longer had that desire, she naturally didn’t want one anymore.

Wyatt thought she was worried about the cost. He pursed his lips. "I have the money."

Holly couldn’t help but smile. She affectionately linked her arm with his. "I know you have money, Dad, but even if we buy it now, I won’t get to use it. I’m at school from Monday to Friday and at tutoring on the weekends. I’d barely have any ti to touch a computer."

"Dad, how about you buy

one after I get into a good university? Wow, that slls so good! Dad, let’s go get hot pot." She tugged Wyatt toward the third floor of the mall to eat hot pot.

It was 2:48 in the afternoon, and only two other tables in the hot pot restaurant were occupied. Holly and Wyatt found a seat by the window.

Holly didn’t hold back, ordering several of her favorite dishes. Finally, she ordered sothing Wyatt liked too. "Excuse ," she said to the waiter, "we’d like a half-and-half pot. Do you have any warm soups? My dad has a sensitive stomach, so he needs sothing to warm it up."

Watched by her, the waiter seed a bit shy. "Yes, we do. I’ll bring it right over."

He quickly brought over a bowl of tofu soup. Holly took it and pushed it toward Wyatt. "Dad, drink this first."

"Mm." Wyatt lifted the bowl and took a large gulp. The soup had a light flavor, but it ward him to his very core.

It was already six o’clock by the ti they got ho. Holly flopped on the sofa for a few minutes before heading into her bedroom to do her howork.

Wyatt stood outside her door watching for a mont, then turned and went back to his own bedroom. He turned on his computer to do so work, but after clicking the mouse once, he stopped. He pulled a kraft paper notebook out of his drawer.

「November 18th」

Holly ordered my favorite dish.

Turns out Holly rembers what I like to eat.

...

「The next day at 8:30 AM」

Mortir Quincy was waiting at the community gate, holding soy milk and stead buns.

He happened to run into Wyatt Winslow, who was on his way to work at the factory. The two of them locked eyes.

Mortir, who had been slouching, straightened up a bit. He had originally intended to call him Uncle Winslow, but upon eting Wyatt’s stern face, he said, "Dad."

Wyatt looked at him expressionlessly, switching his briefcase to his other hand. "It’s too early to be calling

’Dad’."

Mortir: "..."

He obediently called out, "Uncle Winslow."

When Holly arrived, she happened to overhear Wyatt’s line: "It’s too early to be calling

’Dad’."

"..."

She shot a glance at Mortir. ’That guy definitely did it on purpose.’

Mortir wore an innocent expression. He really hadn’t done it on purpose.

As the two of them exchanged glances, Wyatt couldn’t stand it any longer. "Aren’t you two going to tutoring?" he said in a low voice. "It’s almost nine o’clock."

Mortir and Holly quickly left. Once they were out of Wyatt’s line of sight, Holly smacked Mortir. "Hubby, you’re so bold. You even dare to provoke my dad."

Mortir: "..."

He didn’t dare provoke Wyatt.

Back when he had dragged Holly to get their marriage certificate and told Wyatt about it afterward, Wyatt hadn’t given him a pleasant look for over half a year.

He gave a helpless, bitter smile. "Wifey, save ." As he spoke, he handed her the soy milk and buns.

Holly took a sip of soy milk and looked at him sideways. "Is there a reward?"

"Yes."

Before she could ask what it was, that guy Mortir raised an eyebrow and added, "Seeing as we’re so close, how about I warm your bed for free for another twenty years? Or a hundred?"

It was a good thing Holly had already swallowed her soy milk, or she would have sprayed it all over him. "COUGH..."

"Mortir Quincy, you’re so shaless."

"It’s okay. It’s just a tiny bit thinner than my wifey’s title of ’Invincible Intergalactic Super Scholar’." Mortir held up his left hand, making a small gap between his thumb and index finger.

...

When they arrived at the tutoring center, there were still ten minutes until class started.

The two of them sat in their usual seats at the back. A girl in a pink cotton jacket walked over, her round little face flushed red. She was quite pretty.

"Mortir, can you explain this problem to ?"

It was a classic case of a schoolgirl crush.

Mortir raised his eyes slightly, glancing at the English test paper, then looked at Holly, who was sitting next to him without a hint of alarm. "You should ask my girlfriend. My girlfriend is super smart."

Holly: "..."

’Scholar Quincy, could you please be a little more low-key?’

She tilted her little face up. "Do you need

to explain it to you?"

The girl froze for a second, then lowered her head in embarrassnt. "N-no, it’s okay. I think I know how to do it now."

A boy from the front row who was also in the tutoring class heard this, turned to glance at Holly, then at Mortir, and quickly turned back around.

Holly found it strange. ’Even if I’m dating Mortir, he shouldn’t be looking at us with such disbelief.’

’Are we not a good match?’

Unhappy, she wanted to discuss it with Mortir. "Hubby, don’t you think he’s acting a little weird?" she asked, jutting her chin in the boy’s direction.

This gesture made Mortir’s heart itch. He reached out, pinched her chin, and, quick as a flash, leaned down and gave her a kiss.

"He’s our horoom teacher’s son."

"Huh?" Holly felt like she must have misheard.

Mortir chuckled and repeated, "He’s our horoom teacher’s son. A classmate from our regular class."

Holly: "..." She gave him a look that said, ’You’re sothing else.’

Other students in a relationship would be desperate to keep it a secret, but this guy was one step short of announcing it with a gaphone.

There were four math periods that morning. Three were dedicated to a math test, and Mortir finished his in just one period.

After watching his wifey work her way through the test for a while, he took a very difficult mock college entrance exam paper out of his bag and started working on it.

The math tutor, Damon Young, stood behind him watching for a mont but didn’t say anything.

By the ti he was done, it was already the third period. Mortir put down his pen and looked at Holly. She was still working on the last question of the test.

She had gone wrong starting from the second step. Seeing her struggle for several minutes, he reached out and tapped her test paper lightly. "Read the question carefully," he said softly. "Your line of thinking is correct."

After struggling for a long while more, Holly chewed on the end of her pen. "Hubby, I can’t get it."

"It’s okay. Hubby can."

With a raised eyebrow, Mortir picked up his pen and began to explain it to her in detail. "Based on the given conditions, we know that..."
