Chapter 192: Chapter 192: Why Don’t Universities Have a Dean of Students?

When Serena Shaw saw this, she teased, "The official girlfriend gets to be the Queen of Luck. It figures."

Simone Quincy, head buried in her howork, chid in, "Holly, the stench of your lovey-dovey romance is suffocating ."

Autumn Underwood and Serena Shaw laughed, saying in unison, "It’s suffocating us too!"

Holly feigned an apology. "I’m so sorry, everyone. I’ll be more careful in the future... to show even more PDA."

Serena Shaw gave her a light poke. "Holly, you’re just asking for a group beatdown."

Autumn Underwood and Simone Quincy both looked at Holly and nodded solemnly.

When Holly looked at the main school group chat again, an admin had posted a reply on soone’s behalf: The Queen of Luck is Mortir Quincy’s girlfriend.

It was imdiately followed by another reply: To be the Queen of Luck out of three hundred people... a true combination of skill and fortune.

Holly: "..."

Serena Shaw saw it and doubled over with laughter. "I’m dying!"

Seeing her laughing so wildly, Holly poked her arm. "Serena, if you keep laughing, I won’t answer for you during the next roll call."

Serena Shaw mid zipping her lips shut, signaling she’d be quiet.

Soone else replied in the group. Holly turned off her screen. ’This embarrassnt has nothing to do with .’

Less than a minute later, her phone lit up again. It was a call from Mortir Quincy.

His first words were, "Honey, you don’t have to fight for those. I’ll send you a big one." He couldn’t help but let out a low chuckle, sounding very pleased with himself.

Holly: "..."

She was getting flustered. "I’m proud of what I snatched! I! Don’t! Need! You! To! Send! ! One!"

Mortir Quincy just said a soft, "Oh." The next second, Holly received a red envelope.

His magnetic voice ca through the phone, "Then give it back, honey."

"In your dreams." Holly gleefully tapped open the red envelope. It was 520 yuan. She added, "This is enough for two barbecue als."

Hearing the satisfaction in her voice, Mortir Quincy raised an eyebrow. "Honey, with

around, you’ll always be the Queen of Luck."

"No need to fight for it."

’Such a smooth talker!’

Holly huffed, but the corners of her mouth couldn’t help but curve upward. She got down to business. "Quincy the Puppy, I’m going to start tutoring."

’Having so work experience during university gives you an edge over those who don’t.’

’In her past life, when she was job hunting, companies would claim they didn’t require experience, but during the interview, they’d always ask if she had any work history in the field.’

’The truth was, most companies were reluctant to hire recent graduates with no work experience.’

’Besides, working wasn’t like studying. No one was willing to hold your hand and teach you everything. You had to figure things out and adapt on your own.’

’She had learned that lesson the hard way.’

"Okay. Have you already found a position?" Mortir Quincy acknowledged.

Holly had. "I have an interview this weekend. What about you?"

’In the past, during university, Mortir Quincy had done an unpaid internship at a law firm. Because it was free labor, the firm was willing to teach him, and he learned a great deal.’

’On the surface, Mortir Quincy seed blessed with success, an object of envy, but in reality, everything he had was earned through his own hard work.’

’No one gets to live a good life without effort, not even the children of the wealthy.’

"I’m going to a construction site." Mortir Quincy had already made his plans as well.

Holly knew that going to a construction site was no clean, desk job. She pressed her lips together, a little worried. "Will you be okay?"

A low chuckle ca from Mortir Quincy’s end of the line. He said softly, "Don’t you ever doubt your husband’s abilities."

Holly: "..."

She hung up the phone. Autumn Sawyer turned to her and said, "Holly, you’re going to be a tutor? We’re only freshn. There’s no need to start so early."

"I don’t have anything to do on Sundays." Holly paused, then added, "More experience will make it easier to find a job later."

Serena Shaw smiled. "Holly, it’s still early. We just started university."

Holly shook her head seriously. "It’s not early at all."

...

The weather had begun to turn cool.

「Saturday, 10 a.m., below the girls’ dormitory.」

The young woman wore a brown long-sleeved shirt with jeans, her hair pulled back in a half-ponytail. With a touch of light makeup, she looked mature and poised.

Mortir Quincy’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He reached out a hand and praised her, "Teacher Winslow is very beautiful today."

Holly couldn’t help but smile. She took his hand and looked him over. The young man was dressed in a thin, black, crew-neck sweater and loose black casual pants, looking handso and tall.

She leaned in and whispered, "My husband is very handso too." Her eyes curved into crescents as she smiled.

Mortir Quincy raised his eyebrows in satisfaction. Holding her hand as they walked, he said, "Is that it? Nothing else besides handso?"

"You want to hear

praise you? A hundred yuan per complint." Holly held out her hand to him.

Quincy the Moneybags took out his phone and tapped the screen. "Then let’s start with a hundred complints."

"How do you still have so much money?" Holly saw the notification for a 10,000 yuan transfer.

’The down paynt on the apartnt here was expensive; his scholarship money definitely wouldn’t have been enough.’

Mortir Quincy showed her his phone screen and said pitifully, "That was the last of my allowance."

His remaining balance was one thousand yuan.

Holly smiled sweetly as she "scolded" him, "Serves you right. Who told you to spend money so recklessly?"

Rembering sothing, she pulled a bank card from her bag and handed it to him. "I still have over two hundred thousand yuan. The money you transferred to

before is in here too. Take it and pay off the mortgage. There should be so left over, which you can use for living expenses."

’She had been planning this ever since she found out Mortir Quincy had bought an apartnt.’

’She didn’t spend much money anyway, and Wyatt Winslow gave her enough for living expenses every month.’

Mortir Quincy took the card, then tucked it back into her pocket. He gave her a wink. "Keep this safe. It’s our child-rearing fund."

Holly: "..."

’They hadn’t even seen a sprout yet, and he was already talking about a child-rearing fund.’

Then he added, "Don’t worry about the mortgage. The monthly rent covers the paynt. As for living expenses, I’ll just have to depend on my wife and eat her leftovers every day." He shrugged as he spoke.

Holly poked him. "Tsk, tsk," she said. "You sound so pitiful."

"I am pitiful."

Mortir Quincy bent down, tilting his head up slightly. "One kiss and I won’t be pitiful anymore." Then, taking matters into his own hands, he gave her a quick kiss and added, "Not pitiful anymore."

Holly: "..."

Pantheon, who had just co out to grab a package, happened to witness this scene and imdiately started rolling his eyes. "..."

’Why don’t universities have a dean of students?!’

The tutoring job was relatively close to the university, just a ten-odd-minute ride on the 126 bus.

The interview was in a mid-to-high-end apartnt complex, on the sixth floor.

When they arrived at the door, Holly waved Mortir Quincy off, whispering, "You can go take care of your business now."

"I’ll wait a bit."

Mortir Quincy took out his phone and called hers. Once it connected, he said, "Keep the call active. If anything happens, just shout."

"Okay."

Holly stood on her tiptoes and gave him a quick kiss. "See you at ho, honey."

The family’s housekeeper opened the door. Hearing that Holly was there to interview for the tutoring position, she brought out a pair of slippers for her. "Please have a seat on the sofa for a mont. Ms. Zane is in an interview right now."

Holly nodded and sat primly on the sofa.

A dozen or so minutes later, a female university student about her age ca out, and the housekeeper gestured for Holly to go in.

The person interviewing her was a woman in her early thirties. She wore light makeup and had average looks, but she carried herself with an excellent air of sophistication.

Holly gave a slight bow in greeting before handing over her resu.

Sophia Zane kindly gestured for her to sit on the stool.

After looking at the resu, she seed quite satisfied with Holly’s educational background and college entrance exam scores. "I have a passage in English here. Please read it aloud, and then translate it for ."

The English passage was from Romain Rolland, and Holly had read it before. She read it with extre fluency, then began her translation: "All those who have struggled through are like true gold that fears no fire; no disillusionnt can shake their faith, for they knew from the very beginning that the path of faith and the path of happiness are completely different..."
