Chapter 138: Chapter 138: I’ll Compensate You, With a Mortir Quincy

The word "incest" caught Pantheon so off guard that he choked on his own spit. "AHEM, COUGH, COUGH..."

Once he recovered, he cursed, "Holy shit! Kid, you think this is a novel? So cliché forbidden love story between cousins?"

He clapped him on the shoulder and said with profound gravity, "Rook was right. You should read fewer trashy novels. Incest? You’re the one who looks like you’d be into incest."

Chase Hawkins: "..."

He didn’t have a female cousin.

Then he heard Pantheon add, "They’re fake cousins. They’re not related by blood at all. They’re from two completely separate families."

’Fake cousins?’

Chase Hawkins froze for a mont, his mind struggling to catch up. "But the parent-teacher conference..."

"That’s where Scholar Quincy has us all beat. It’s why we can’t even hope to catch up."

Pantheon’s words were tinged with envy. ’How co I never t parents like Mortir’s? He gets away with dating early without getting a beating.’

’I get a beating just for playing video gas.’

’A tag-team beatdown from my mom and dad.’

’If I got first place, would I get the sa treatnt as Mortir?’

He nipped that thought in the bud as soon as it appeared.

’Getting first place is impossible.’

Chase Hawkins was stunned. His mouth opened and closed, and he finally managed to say, "Badass!"

Dating young and eting the parents... that was truly badass!

"I think it’s badass too."

Seeing his dumbfounded expression, which was a perfect match for his own initial reaction, Pantheon laughed. "HA HA." Then he warned him, "Just you, , and Zeke Zane know about this. Don’t go spreading it around. If anything gets out, you can expect to have your throat slit."

...

Staring at the two heads at the desk in front of him, a single thought kept replaying in Chase Hawkins’s mind: ’They’re dating right under the teachers’ noses.’

He couldn’t help but repeat it in his head, ’Badass!’

The number one and number two students, dating. The teachers would never guess, not even in their wildest dreams.

Perhaps his stare was too intense, because the boy in front turned his head slightly to look at him, his expression cool and indifferent.

Ahem.

Chase Hawkins grabbed a test paper and began working on it distractedly.

’Gotta calm down.’

During third period physics, Holly Winslow felt a bloating in her lower abdon. Sothing was off. A few minutes later, she felt a familiar sensation. Her period had arrived.

Class had just started. Even with the panty liner she’d put on just in case, she probably wouldn’t make it through the period. After wavering for half a minute over whether to raise her hand and interrupt the teacher, she tugged on the corner of Mortir’s shirt under the desk.

"My period’s here."

Mortir paused for a second, then realized what she ant and suddenly raised his hand.

The physics teacher saw his raised hand, stopped his lecture, and asked kindly, "What is it?"

"Teacher, I don’t feel well. Can Holly Winslow take

to the school clinic?" Mortir said.

The entire class instantly turned to look.

The physics teacher didn’t suspect a thing. He hurried over. "What’s wrong?"

"It’s a recurring problem. I’ll be fine once I get so dicine," Mortir answered calmly.

The physics teacher still had a class to teach, so he certainly couldn’t go with him to the clinic. Thinking that Holly, being a girl, might not be enough help, he said, "Zeke Zane, you go with them."

Zeke Zane was just about to agree when Mortir refused. "Teacher, that’s not necessary. Holly is enough."

The physics teacher hesitated for a mont, then nodded. "Alright. Call

if you need anything."

After Mortir and Holly left the classroom, he thought for a mont and decided to call Gabe Chaucer.

Gabe Chaucer was in the middle of teaching. He was a bit surprised to see his phone light up, but after a mont’s hesitation, he stepped out onto the balcony to take the call.

"Mortir’s sick? Okay, I’ll go check on him right now. Thank you, Teacher Sawyer."

...

「The bathrooms by the athletic field.」

Mortir pulled a sanitary pad and so tissues from his pocket and handed them to Holly. "Go on, I’ll wait for you."

’A guy like Mortir is a real treasure.’ Holly silently congratulated herself on her excellent taste back in the day.

Sure enough, her period had started.

After changing, Holly ca out of the bathroom and said with relief, "Thank goodness it didn’t leak. That would have been so embarrassing."

Mortir chuckled softly. He touched her hand—it was warm. Rembering she had drunk a Coke the day before, he asked, "Does your stomach hurt?"

Holly shook her head. "It doesn’t hurt."

She glanced around, then suddenly stood on her tiptoes and gave him a quick kiss. "Thanks, hubby."

’Having a hubby in high school makes everything a breeze.’

Mortir arched an eyebrow in satisfaction. His voice was deep and magnetic. "Just a kiss? How about so other... activities?"

Holly: "..."

"Don’t push your luck."

She pouted with a "Hmph," then said with mock indignation, "Let’s go, let’s go! If we miss any important material, you’ll have to make it up to !"

"I’ll make it up to you. I’ll give you a Mortir Quincy."

Mortir raised an eyebrow, slinging a long arm around her shoulder. "What do you say, wifey?"

Holly’s eyes darted around, then curved into crescents a second later. "Can you give

two more? One isn’t enough to do all the work."

"Sure, as long as wifey isn’t afraid of getting tired," Mortir said, a roguish smirk playing on his lips.

’Tired?’

Holly froze for a few seconds before she realized he was making a lewd joke.

As the two of them were heading up from the edge of the athletic field, they ran into Gabe Chaucer, who was looking for them.

Gabe Chaucer ca closer and sized up Mortir. Seeing that he looked reasonably well, he breathed a sigh of relief. "Why didn’t you go to the school clinic?"

"We went to the bathroom," Mortir said, withdrawing his arm from Holly’s shoulder.

Gabe Chaucer said, "Oh," and didn’t press the issue. "Co on, I’ll take you to the clinic."

Holly and Mortir: "..."

The two of them followed him to the school clinic. It wasn’t large; with two or three people inside, it already felt a bit crowded.

The school doctor was still watching TV. He must have been at an exciting part, because he was so absorbed that he didn’t even notice them co in.

Gabe Chaucer pressed his lips together and knocked on the desk. "Dr. Langdon!"

The school doctor finally snapped out of it and looked at Mortir and Holly. "Teacher Chaucer, did you bring students in for a check-up?"

"Yes, he’s not feeling well," Gabe Chaucer said.

The school doctor nodded. "Let

take a look."

Hearing this, Holly secretly glanced at Mortir, as if to ask what he was going to do. Mortir, however, let the doctor examine him with a perfectly calm expression.

The doctor couldn’t find anything wrong. "Where do you feel uncomfortable?"

Mortir said, "I’m a little dizzy."

The doctor asked again, "Any other discomfort? Diarrhea?"

Mortir shook his head. "No."

"It’s probably due to too much academic stress. You might be anemic. You need to eat three als a day."

The doctor had seen this kind of situation many tis. He added, "Just drink so glucose."

Gabe Chaucer was worried that just drinking it wouldn’t be enough. "Can he get a glucose IV?"

Mortir and Holly: "..."

Holly gave Mortir a weak look. ’You might have to get a needle.’

Mortir shook his head. "Teacher Chaucer, that’s not necessary. I’ll be fine just drinking so glucose water."

"This is not sothing to be careless about." Gabe Chaucer didn’t agree.

Anemia isn’t sothing to be taken lightly.

The doctor nodded. "We can do that, but it will take up his study ti. About an hour and a half."

"His health is the most important thing. Please put him on the glucose drip," Gabe Chaucer decided all on his own.

Mortir: "..."

In the end, Mortir was put on a glucose drip in the school clinic. So as not to hold up another student’s studies, Gabe Chaucer arranged a class switch with another teacher and sent Holly back to class.

Holly kept looking back every few steps. She felt a little sorry for Mortir, who was stuck getting the IV. Ahem, but to be honest, she also felt an uncharitable urge to laugh.
