Chapter 122: Chapter 122: My Boyfriend Is Waiting for

Outside

Mr. Langdon’s interest was piqued. He sat down on a stool and asked her kindly, "So you want to be a teacher?"

Holly Winslow nodded. ’Ti to get back up right where I fell.’

She wanted to guide students correctly as they took that first, crucial step in life, so they wouldn’t have any regrets.

Mr. Langdon looked at her young face and sighed internally. "Teaching is a good profession, but it requires a lot of effort to guide students, not just in their studies, but in their mindset as well."

"Kids your age are in their rebellious phase. Not many can just settle down and study."

"But this age is truly the first important stage in everyone’s life. If you can’t get over this hurdle, the road ahead will be difficult."

He chuckled at this. "Back in my day, my teachers always used to say that if we didn’t study hard, we’d end up hauling bricks."

"I thought it was a joke back then. But in my second year of high school, I decided studying was too tiring, so I went out and got a job hauling bricks for soone. I was so exhausted every day I didn’t even want to eat. Eventually, I couldn’t take it anymore and ca back to school."

"There’s always a reason behind these sayings. You just don’t get it until you’ve lived it. But by the ti you’ve lived it, all that’s left is regret."

His tone was filled with a hint of lant.

Holly Winslow understood this deeply. ’Before you experience sothing, you think it’s not a big deal. But once you’ve gone through it and hit a brick wall, you realize there’s no turning back.’

The two chatted for a while longer before resuming the tutoring session.

The session ended promptly at six. After Mr. Langdon left, Holly packed her schoolbag. Just as she stepped out of the classroom, a boy in a blue short-sleeved shirt called out to her, "Holly Winslow."

Holly looked at him, puzzled. He looked familiar, but they had never spoken before.

"Hi, my na is Hugh Webb. I’m in the large-group class." The boy scratched his head shyly. He had a buzz cut and was tall, and his clothes looked clean and fresh.

Holly replied kindly, "Hello. Can I help you with sothing?"

"I was wondering if I could buy you a milk tea. Do you have ti?"

Hugh Webb glanced at her. A lot of the guys had noticed the girl from the one-on-one session as soon as class started.

She was very pretty.

Fair-skinned, pure, and cute.

Holly understood his intentions and rejected him directly. "No, thank you. I have to go. My boyfriend is waiting for

outside."

The mont she turned, she saw Mortir Quincy walking over, and her eyes curved into a smile.

Mortir shot Hugh Webb a brief, cool glance before looking away. He took Holly’s bag and walked off with an arm around her shoulder.

As soon as they left the Elite Tutoring center, Holly pointed to the milk tea shop across the street. "I want milk tea."

"Okay. Your boyfriend will buy you two." Mortir was very pleased with her reaction just now. ’It would have been even better if she’d said ’husband’,’ he thought.

It was peak ti for the tutoring centers letting out, and within a minute, a long line had ford at the milk tea shop.

Holly rembered that Pantheon was treating them to dinner and decided against it. "Never mind. Let’s just go to New Grill Bar. It’s still a bit of a ways away."

"We have ti."

Mortir stayed in line. Ten minutes later, he finally had the milk tea. Holly stuck a straw in it and held it to his lips. He bent down and took a sip.

The gesture attracted the gazes of many students nearby.

When they reached the roadside, Holly assud they were going to hail a cab. Just as she was about to raise her hand, she saw Mortir open the passenger door of a driver’s ed car parked nearby.

She froze for a second, then asked in surprise, "How did you get this out?"

Mortir raised an eyebrow and looked at her for a few seconds. "I stole it. Believe it or not?"

It was clearly a joke, but his girl studied him seriously for a mont before shaking her head. "I don’t believe you."

’God, I love her so fucking much.’

Mortir rested a hand on the car roof, trapping her in his arms. He lowered his head and gave her a hard kiss. "Pulled so strings."

Holly lost her balance and plopped onto the seat, grabbing the collar of his shirt as she fell. The collar was pulled open as wide as it could go.

Ahem, she’d seen his nipples.

Her cheeks flushed as she let go.

Mortir let out a low chuckle and fixed his shirt. "Babe, we can do this kind of thing at ho."

Holly: "..."

’In your dreams.’

The two of them arrived at New Grill Bar right at six-thirty.

New Grill Bar was a very popular street-side barbecue stall. Over a dozen tables were already full. Holly scanned the area and finally spotted their group. Surprisingly, Anna Willow was there too.

She humd, tiptoed over, and covered Anna’s eyes, deepening her voice. "Guess who?"

"It’s gotta be the amazing Holly."

Anna Willow pried her hands away with a grin and scooted over to make room for her.

After the "amazing Holly" sat down, she glanced at Zeke Zane, then leaned close to Anna’s ear and teased, "Anna, what’s going on with you?"

Anna coughed unnaturally and whispered, "Nonsense. Zeke Zane lost a ga a few days ago and owed

a al."

Holly shook her head. "I don’t believe you."

Anna poked her in the waist. "We’ll talk at ho."

Before long, the barbecue was served—two huge platters full of food.

Pantheon was genuinely grateful to Holly. He picked up a lamb skewer and offered it to her. "Here, sister-in-law, eat up. This is spec—" Before he could finish, his hand was slapped away.

Mortir glared at him, his face full of displeasure.

Pantheon: "..."

’It’s just a lamb skewer.’

’He’s making it seem like I’m the other man.’

He gestured with the lamb skewer in a different direction. "Could you please pass this to our sister-in-law? A token of gratitude for her help explaining the problems."

"She doesn’t eat lamb." Mortir intercepted the skewer and handed Holly a chicken wing instead.

Holly glanced at the lamb skewer. ’Alright, I guess I don’t eat lamb then.’ She took the chicken wing and started nibbling on it. The barbecue here tasted really authentic.

Anna nudged her shoulder and waggled her eyebrows. ’Ooh, nice going.’

Of course, Holly understood her friend’s look. She poked Anna in the waist, and Anna poked her back. Both of them broke into wide grins.

Everyone ate their fill except for Mortir. Just as Holly was about to rub her stomach, Mortir grabbed her hand tightly. In a low voice, he said, "You forgot again?"

Holly giggled guiltily. "Just a little slip-up."

Zeke Zane and Pantheon were more or less immune to their antics by now. Anna snickered behind her hand.

It was already eight o’clock, and the buses had stopped running. Mortir and Holly dropped Anna off first. By the ti they were on their way back, the sky was completely dark, with faint yellow lights lining the road.

Holly saw the car take the lower fork in the road and quickly spoke up. "Honey, you took the wrong turn. We’re supposed to take the upper road."

Mortir kept his eyes on the road, a roguish tone in his voice. "Mhm, going to take care of sothing."

"What is it? It’s so late," Holly asked, her eyes wide with confusion.

"Not late at all. The timing is perfect."

A few minutes later, he pulled into an open, paved lot. It was a bit remote, with only a few other cars parked there.

Holly was even more confused. She turned to look at him. "Where are we taking care of this thing? There’s nobody here."

"Right here." Mortir unbuckled his seatbelt, turned sideways, cupped her face, and kissed her.

Holly froze for a mont, then ca to her senses, closed her eyes, and wrapped her arms around his neck.

A few minutes later, Mortir pulled back, satisfied. He leaned back in the driver’s seat, panting lightly for a mont. His voice was magnetic and hoarse. "Babe, do you know what I’m thinking about?"

’Asking that kind of question in this situation... it’s definitely not going to be anything wholeso,’ Holly thought. She didn’t answer, instead reaching down to pull at her shirt, which had ridden up.

"Fucking you."

Mortir’s eyes were dark and deep, like a ravenous wolf’s.

Holly glanced at a certain part of him. "..."
