On the Godfall Battlefield, Daniel turned his head and looked toward Mist.
"Mist, the next move is entirely in your hands."
Upon hearing Daniel’s words, a serious expression appeared on Mist’s face. She could sense that Daniel was not rely speaking casually—he was truly planning to kill the Void Worm Matriarch, an Ancient God Pantheon entity.
Yes, Daniel was about to commit divine assassination!
What Mist didn’t know, however, was that Daniel’s decision to kill a god had its reasons.
First and foremost was the human ascension ritual. Although humanity had grown to beco a star-level species, Daniel still felt limited by their growth. Therefore, he had no choice but to continue pushing humanity to ascend further.
Secondly, for the current Daniel, cooperating with other versions of himself from different world lines wasn’t just about gaining a free ride. Real cooperation, where one only sought to take advantage, could not work in the long run.
Killing the Void Worm Matriarch would allow these Daniels from different world lines to complete their own ascension rituals and truly cross the threshold into Demigod Rank.
For this young alliance, it was a win-win situation.
Another benefit was that after rescuing Kartora, the modern gods would gain more god-level combatants.
So Daniel’s mission was, without a doubt, a must-win.
As the gray mist descended, the Godfall Battlefield gradually faded from everyone’s perception.
However, this ti Daniel did not take the conventional route of entering the Void Worm Matriarch’s exile domain. Instead, he summoned the [Destruction Blade] ahead of ti.
His plan was quite unconventional.
In fact, this plan had been inspired by the earlier trial attack.
With a swing of his blade, Daniel unleashed a destructive force, tearing through the fabric of space and planes. Alongside the destruction ca the creation of New Life’s plane space.
For these New Life planes, there would be no lingering energy, no presence.
So Daniel’s plan was to repeatedly use [Destruction Blade], then use the New Life planes to create a passageway into the Exile.
Given that this involved different planes, it was fair to call it a clever deception.
And, let’s not forget, Mist was there to help mask their presence!
So this mission would have maximum stealth.
As Daniel’s [Destruction Blade] sliced through the space, the modern gods, who had not made any major moves for thousands of years, collectively stepped out of the Godfall Battlefield for the first ti.
anwhile, on the edge of the Exile domain,
This place had always been the Void Worm Matriarch’s domain. She had battled many modern gods here, in quick but intense skirmishes.
Although these battles were brief, the Void Worm Matriarch had always dealt with them effortlessly.
Even without an abundance of the power of faith, she was still stronger than most modern gods.
However, this situation only applied when her power of faith wasn’t depleted.
Now, the Void Worm Matriarch was feeling particularly agitated, with her massive form radiating waves of chaotic energy!
This was because, not long ago, her power of faith had been severely diminished.
This depletion had weakened her to the point where nearly a third of her strength had been damaged!
"Those damn modern gods... I’ve been so careful, how did they find ?"
The Void Worm Matriarch growled furiously, waving her gigantic forelimbs. Her forelimbs, which resembled arthropod legs, were covered in nacing black bristles, making her appear even more terrifying.
"Damn it! Damn it!"
"Why can they discover my faith sect?"
"These modern gods... do they want to rebel?"
"The great inner god is waking up! They’re simply outrageous!"
The Void Worm Matriarch didn’t know why, but she was overco with an unprecedented feeling of frustration.
This frustration made it nearly impossible for her to calm down.
As a result, the Void Worms that sward around her quivered in fear.
At that very mont, Daniel and his group were rapidly closing in on the Void Worm Matriarch’s location.
This ti, with the cooperation of nearly all the modern gods, they quickly surrounded the Void Worm Matriarch.
Before the battle began, Daniel and the gods set up a ntal power network.
The existence of this ntal power network allowed them to communicate instantly and made it easier to deploy follow-up plans.
There was no opposition to Daniel’s plan from anyone.
On the one hand, this was because of the close relationship between Daniel and the others. On the other, it was because Daniel’s strength now commanded their respect.
"The first wave of attacks should hold nothing back. Even if we don’t kill her, we must severely damage the target!"
In response to Daniel’s command, the gods had no objections since this was part of the plan.
However, Mist was excluded from the offensive sequence, as was Luck Goddess Luke.
The reason for leaving them out was because neither of them was particularly skilled in offense. Moreover, Daniel had assigned them to watch for any external threats, essentially keeping a safety net in place.
Although Mist’s offensive capabilities were not strong, she was skilled at concealing herself and evading detection. In the event of an unexpected situation, Mist and Luke, working together, should be able to ensure the group’s safe retreat.
This was Daniel’s plan—not a desperate, all-in move, but one that had a well-prepared B-tier backup in case of failure.
With the command issued, everyone began gathering their energy.
To deliver a deadly blow, they needed a mont to prepare. However, this preparation only took an instant.
At this ti, Daniel once again applied the [Phantom Slash] property to his [Destruction Blade].
He made this choice because, after experintation, he found that this was currently his most powerful offensive thod.
Thus, Daniel and his clones readied themselves, all pointing their blades toward the Void Worm Matriarch.
The "Daniels" from other world lines also prepared their attacks.
Though their skills had different focuses, each of them had top-tier God Rank skills, ranking within the top 20.
Therefore, the damage caused by this attack was nothing to be underestimated!
"Mist, cover us!"
