It seed that obtaining the Circle of Destiny was not going to be an easy task. However, upon further reflection, it was understandable. After all, the Circle of Destiny was a material that belonged to the top ten ranked God Rank Skills. So, it made sense that it would be difficult to acquire.
Daniel was pondering how to obtain the Circle of Destiny from the Desire Mine. As things stood, this was no easy feat. But he decided to put that aside for the mont and deal with other matters first. He made up his mind and then looked over at Isabella.
"The Desire Mine can fulfill your wishes, but it will also bring you distortion," Daniel said. "The more difficult your wish is to achieve, the more powerful the distortion and pollution of desire will be."
Isabella froze for a mont upon hearing Daniel’s words. "So how do you know all this?" she asked.
Despite her being a Fake God, Isabella’s mind power was not as strong as Daniel’s. Moreover, Daniel had Eye of Insight, a God Rank Skill that gave him a far greater ability to understand the essence of things. Isabella had not sensed the dangers hidden in the Desire Mine.
Seeing that Daniel wasn’t joking, Isabella’s face turned serious. Daniel, however, calmly responded, "Don’t ask too many questions. So things I can’t explain."
"You can choose not to believe , but I suggest you don’t."
Daniel didn’t want to interfere too much with Isabella’s fate, as he too was curious about what might happen to Isabella once she used the Desire Mine’s ore. The reason he ntioned all this was simply out of concern as a companion.
On the other hand, Isabella suddenly revealed a relieved expression. She nodded and said, "Alright, since you’ve said that, I’ll trust you."
"However, even so, I still choose to make a wish."
As she spoke, a hint of sadness appeared on Isabella’s face.
"You know," she continued, "I have no other options in my domain. If I don’t beco a true god, then in the eyes of other gods, I’m just a pretty ornant."
"Maybe you don’t understand, but I don’t want to be a puppet controlled by others."
"Although I know the chances are slim, perhaps this is my only opportunity to change my fate. I don’t want to be a plaything for those big shots."
Daniel observed Isabella quietly, and through his Psychic Perception, he understood that everything she said ca from the heart.
Upon reflection, it wasn’t hard to understand. Although Isabella was a Fake God, her domain wasn’t suited for combat. Instead, her extre beauty had attracted a great deal of unwanted attention. Perhaps, for Isabella, beauty wasn’t a blessing—it was a curse. Her very existence was a temptation, a prize that many desired.
Daniel could even feel the pain within Isabella. Becoming a god of beauty had turned into a curse for her. Her father, mother, and older brother—everyone from her family had lost their lives because of her beauty. To protect her, countless lives had been sacrificed. And the most painful part of it all was that those people were the ones Isabella had cherished and loved the most.
But now, they were all dead.
Daniel could sense the depth of Isabella’s anguish. He understood now why, despite his warning, Isabella still made this choice. Perhaps for her, she had no other choice. The people who lusted after her beauty would eventually face her vengeance.
This world, though seemingly peaceful, was incredibly cruel.
Daniel continued to study Isabella, but she maintained a calm smile on her face, as though she was at peace with herself.
At that mont, Isabella stepped forward and gently took Daniel’s hand.
"Crossbridge," she began, "no matter what happens, I still want to thank you."
"You haven’t gone through what I’ve experienced, but I know you’re a good person."
"There were many tis I considered giving up on the path to becoming a god, but in the end, the world still speaks the language of power."
"Since fate has led to the Desire Mine, perhaps this is my chance."
"Finally, to show my gratitude, I’ll give you a small gift."
With that, Isabella kissed Daniel lightly on the cheek, as if like a little bird pecking at him.
"Thank you very much, and I will keep our promise."
After saying this, Isabella turned and walked into the Desire Mine.
Daniel watched her slender figure disappear into the darkness. He just stood there, silently observing, with no intention of stopping her. After all, with his current strength, he was in no position to alter Isabella’s fate.
Besides, Isabella, though appearing sowhat fragile, actually had a very strong will. Once she made up her mind, no matter how Daniel tried to dissuade her, it would be of no use.
anwhile, Isabella had already summoned her divine power to create a cross-shaped tool and was mining ores in the Desire Mine. As she swung the tool, she prayed quietly.
"O great Desire Abyss, I call upon you."
"I wish that you will grant my wish, to beco a true god at so point in the future, and to retain my sanity."
Since Daniel had ntioned the pollution earlier, Isabella had specifically asked for the preservation of her sanity.
As she made her wish, the cross-shaped tool in her hands grew heavier. Gradually, the Desire Core appeared before her.
At the sa ti, Daniel sensed many subtle changes within Isabella. Though she still stood in the Desire Mine, he felt as though her body was now existing simultaneously in both the void and reality.
For a brief mont, Daniel felt as if the entire space had been paused, but this "pause" only lasted an instant.
The next mont, a familiar seductive voice whispered in his ear.
"Don’t worry, my dear sister."
"Since I have inherited Isabella’s identity, from today on, you will be called Elizabeth."
"I will no longer let you suffer. Together, we will beco true gods!"
In the next instant, it seed as if Isabella had undergone so sort of transformation. Though it was still the sa body, it felt as if two souls now occupied it.
It was like witnessing a form of schizophrenia.
Then, suddenly, Isabella grabbed a dagger and stabbed it into her chest!
