With a snap of her fingers, Isabella instantly disappeared from sight. At the sa ti, within the ti corridor, the charm effect on Kalbira was imdiately lifted.
After leaving the ti corridor, Daniel decided it was ti for a private conversation with Kartora and Isabella. However, just as he was about to approach them, Isabella’s figure suddenly appeared behind him.
"Why are you so heartless? You left all alone here," Isabella’s voice was teasing, but there was an undertone of loneliness. "This barren land is so dull; there’s nothing interesting here at all."
"Well, I’ve already taken care of the issue with that ti girl. So, can you spare so of your precious ti to just stroll around with ? You’ve been with her for so long; it’s only fair you spend so ti with !" Isabella said, her tone light, yet there was a hint of sothing else. "If you do, I promise that next ti you need my help, I won’t ask for anything in return. How does that sound?"
Daniel, hearing this, could not help but sigh. He suddenly realized that Isabella knew him better than he had expected. If she had just said these words off the cuff, Daniel would not have believed her. But it was clear she was trying to send him a ssage through her words.
To be precise, Isabella knew far more about him than he had anticipated.
After thinking for a mont, Daniel realized why this was so. It was clear that after Isabella had controlled Kalbira, she must have gathered quite a bit of intelligence about him from her. Although the information may not have been complete, there were things that could be confird, such as Isabella’s deep understanding of him. It seed that Isabella knew him far better than he had thought, much more than he had told her.
Thinking about it, Daniel found it all quite reasonable. If the roles were reversed, he would have investigated Isabella in great detail as well. However, Daniel had never had the chance to do so.
Just then, Isabella spoke again, her voice full of curiosity. "This place is too desolate. How about you show your world? I want to see what it’s like."
Daniel had anticipated that she would know about his world. However, he couldn’t quite understand why Isabella would want to visit it. Was she simply looking to relax, or did she have so other motive? Daniel’s mind began to run through possible reasons, but he couldn’t co to any solid conclusion yet.
After a brief silence, Daniel took the initiative and asked, "So, can you tell why you’re so interested in my world?"
Daniel had already ford a guess in his mind, but he was still curious about Isabella’s true reasons. Isabella gave him a coquettish glance before replying, "Please, I’ve been sealed for so long. Shouldn’t I be interested in sothing fun?"
"Then you must promise one thing: don’t harm my people." Daniel’s voice was firm, and his gaze remained steady as he placed the condition on Isabella.
Without hesitation, Isabella agreed. "Fine, I promise."
Daniel wasn’t entirely convinced, but he did feel sowhat relieved. He continued, "Also, no charm magic, and don’t touch ."
Though Isabella had agreed to all of Daniel’s demands, Daniel remained cautious. He knew that leaving so many safeguards in place was necessary. His wariness wasn’t without reason. Isabella’s strength was imnse, and this made him feel uneasy about how to handle her. Yet, despite all his caution, Isabella’s simple request made her feel sothing she hadn’t felt in a long ti—discomfort and a sense of injustice.
Her beauty had caused countless beings to fall into despair, but now, she was being rejected by a re human. Even worse, Daniel had even asked her not to touch him. Though Isabella understood so of the reasons behind it, the feeling of being so easily dismissed made her feel a little hurt.
"Alright, alright, I agree to everything you say. Is that enough?" Isabella pouted playfully, trying to mask her disappointnt.
She was incredibly curious to see Daniel’s world, especially the one he ruled. She had been intrigued by this world of his and wanted to understand more about Daniel’s experiences and thods. After all, when choosing an ally, one must be very careful. Even though she had learned a lot about Daniel from Kalbira’s words and through their interactions, Isabella still felt that she needed to see it all for herself, to understand every aspect of Daniel’s world.
Right now, Isabella wasn’t simply viewing Daniel as the master of the ti corridor. For soone as exceptional as him, Isabella had more on her mind than just making an alliance. But aside from these hidden thoughts, there was a simple desire—she had been sealed away for so long, and she just wanted to see sothing lively, sothing that wasn’t as desolate as the place she had been trapped in.
These various factors led to her request.
On the other hand, Daniel didn’t seem to have any intention of refusing her. At this point, having a powerful demigod like Isabella by his side was an invaluable asset. However, their relationship was still in the very early stages, and both of them were cautiously testing each other.
Daniel wasn’t ready to fully trust Isabella, but he also understood that trust would be necessary, at least to so extent. In the back of his mind, he knew that Isabella was different from Kartora. Isabella didn’t have control over the ti domain, so she couldn’t manipulate ti itself. That gave Daniel so sense of security, knowing that even if sothing went wrong or if sothing terrifying occurred, he could always use Ti Stream to return to the past.
At that mont, Isabella sighed softly, a sweet sound that seed to lt into the air. "Little brother, can you take another look at ? Just like you did earlier."
"I’ll stick to everything you said. If I do anything suspicious, you can seal again, okay?" Her voice was gentle, but there was an undeniable sincerity in it.
Her request made Daniel hesitate for a mont. He thought for a mont before turning his gaze to Isabella, only to find that she had changed. She was now wearing a delicate, almost ethereal gown that shimred like a fragile butterfly’s wings. The dress was both beautiful and graceful, giving Isabella the air of a princess.
At that mont, Isabella’s sweet voice reached Daniel’s ears. "Now, with this outfit, I won’t be able to affect you anymore."
"Can you trust now?" she asked, her voice almost pleading.
Daniel nodded, then activated his Eye of Insight to examine the dress she was wearing.
[Sealing Silks of the Silken Worm]
[Description: A very special gown that seals divine power once worn.]
Daniel could not deny that Isabella had been truthful this ti. He relaxed slightly but remained on guard. Slowly, he allowed his eyes to fully open, understanding that this was the mont where trust could begin to grow between them.
