After waiting for about ten minutes, Daniel had collected all the blood from the area.
During this ti, he didn’t remain idle. Instead, he used his mind power to scan the surroundings.
He had to admit, the current situation in Backworld wasn’t as dangerous as he had imagined.
From Daniel’s perception, he could even sense the presence of many weaker creatures living in this place.
Even in Backworld, ordinary life forms still existed.
However, what was more obvious to him was the fact that there were many demigod-level beings around.
The rules in this world were not the sa as those in the Land of Origin.
As long as one lived in Backworld, they would naturally ascend to a divine rank, though these divine ranks were of the Ancient God type.
Daniel didn’t know much about the Ancient God type but had gathered so understanding from previous experiences.
These ancient deities seed to be much more influenced by their divine ranks, and their strength was directly tied to belief.
The stronger their belief, the stronger they beca. However, if they lost their belief, they would beco incredibly weak.
In contrast, the gods of Daniel’s ti were quite different.
The gods in his era were less influenced by belief. Even without belief, the gods of Daniel’s ti could still unleash their innate power.
But the ancient gods, without belief, would see their power greatly diminished.
Though Daniel didn’t know too much about the Ancient Gods, he had a faint feeling that they were not as advanced as the gods in his ti.
Rather, they seed to be relics of an ancient era.
Without belief, they beca weak, but if they maintained their belief, they would gradually lose their sense of self.
Perhaps it was due to this flaw that the Ancient Gods gradually faded away, eventually disappearing from history.
But then, Daniel began to wonder—who had developed the divine ranks of the era he lived in?
Just as Daniel was imrsed in thought, searching for more clues, a strange sight occurred in front of him.
A massive stone coffin suddenly grew out of the gigantic tree before him.
At this eerie sight, Daniel imdiately prepared for combat. Countless avatars and Spirits of Skills gathered, all targeting the stone coffin.
But at that mont, a wave of mind power reached him.
"Wait, don’t act impulsively!"
Daniel instinctively used his mind power to probe the interior of the stone coffin. His mouth twitched involuntarily.
No way—could it really be soone he knew here?
Indeed, the person inside the coffin was soone Daniel recognized.
"Kate, long ti no see!"
Although Daniel was currently disguised as Mist through his Gift of the Veiled Goddess, the devotee of the Luck Goddess inherently had so strange qualities. For instance, Kate also recognized Daniel.
"Lord Daniel, it’s been a long ti!"
[Kate]
[Level: 700]
[Divine Rank: Fake God]
Kate was the forr devotee of the Luck Goddess, and she had been Daniel’s teammate during the first Millennium Apocalypse.
Back then, Daniel and Kate had maintained a good relationship.
"So, how did you end up here? Was it the Luck Goddess, Luke, who sent you?"
Upon hearing this question, Kate neither nodded nor shook her head.
"To be honest, I just happened to pass by," she said.
"To be truthful, I didn’t expect to et soone familiar in Backworld."
Daniel nodded, and Kate, on the other hand, was full of curiosity.
"So, your purpose in coming to Backworld is to advance..."
Before Kate could finish her sentence, a blinding golden light suddenly illuminated the entire space!
In an instant, Daniel realized what had happened!
Damn it, I’ve been discovered!
In the next mont, the surrounding giant trees seed to lt away under the golden light, like candles being heated, quickly turning into a thick liquid.
"Aurelia, what exactly do you want?!" Daniel shouted, looking up at the golden and silver light before him.
Almost imdiately, the vast amounts of light dissipated, and the entire world returned to its original state.
"Aurelia, don’t you think what you’re doing is a bit too much?"
A familiar voice ca from another direction.
Daniel instinctively raised his eyes and saw the familiar figure.
At the sa ti, a powerful energy fluctuation erupted between two gods. But just as quickly, several other godly auras appeared.
"Everyone, it’s been a long ti. Are we really going to fight now?"
"God of Elents, long ti no see."
"Yes, it’s been a while since we last saw each other!"
Daniel didn’t pay much attention to the appearance of the other gods. Instead, his gaze locked on Aurelia.
However, the sight before him shocked him!
Half of Aurelia’s body was covered in so kind of filth.
That must be the Filth of God, right?
But why?
Aside from Daniel, many ordinary life forms were also present in the space.
They were just as confused as Daniel, not understanding why so many powerful gods had suddenly gathered in this place.
At this mont, the God of Life, Laeve, coldly looked at Aurelia and spoke, "Aurelia, no matter what, this ti you’ve crossed the line."
"The Lustrous Woods are my domain. You shouldn’t be here."
...
Back in the Land of Origin, which was where Daniel’s main body was located, the dangerous task of exploring Backworld was naturally assigned to his avatars.
He had left his main body behind as a backup in case the most dangerous situation occurred.
But now, it seed that the worst-case scenario had already co to pass.
Who would have expected that, just a mont ago, he had t Kate, and now, Aurelia and four other gods had gathered together?
Daniel instinctively thought of using Ti Stream. But at that mont, an intuition told him not to use it.
So... he hesitated.
...
Backworld,
Aurelia didn’t continue her actions. Instead, she gave Daniel a warm smile and looked in his direction.
"Lord Crossbridge, it’s been a long ti."
"So... do you mind if I kill you?"
After saying this, she turned her head and looked at Luck Goddess Luke.
"If I insist on killing Lord Crossbridge, what will you do to stop ?"
"After all, things are different from the past."
Upon hearing this question, Luke didn’t respond imdiately. Instead, he turned to look at the God of Elents standing beside Aurelia.
After a brief silence, Luke asked seriously:
"Elents, are you going to help her?"
