"Velen brought out a corpse of an Ascended Rank dragon and is roasting it in the square."

As soon as William said this, everyone's breathing turned heavy.

Did they mishear that?

An Ascended Rank dragon?

Among the four, Jake's emotions were visibly stirred, and his voice suddenly rose.

"You… you're not joking, right? A dragon! The corpse of an Ascended Rank dragon?"

For a body-strengthening practitioner like him, dragon blood refined from such a corpse was the best supplent!

He had been stuck at his current level for years, but with dragon blood, he was confident he could break through to the next rank!

"Then why aren't we stopping Anthony? Dragons are too rare, too powerful—the value of this dragon corpse is imasurable!"

Jake, snapping back to his senses, urgently urged them.

William, seeing Jake's agitated state, sighed as though he had anticipated this reaction.

"Anthony gave a detailed report. Half of the dragon's corpse has already been eaten by the mbers of Ducal Manor under Velen's orders. What can we even do about it?"

Hearing this, Jake and the others finally realized.

Right.

This kind of extravagant behavior was entirely in line with Velen's usual style, wasn't it?

After all the benefits they had received from Velen, how could they possibly stop him now?

Forcefully seize it?

But it was sothing Velen brought out!

And while this thod was outrageously wasteful, it was still being consud by the mbers of Ducal Manor. The dragon's blood and flesh, rich in mana essence, were beneficial to them.

However, it wasn't exactly friendly to Jake.

After all, the dragon corpse would have been of imnse value to him.

"Although we can't stop Velen, the taste of dragon at must be incredible. Why don't we go and have a try too?"

William suggested after so thought, looking at Jake and the others.

The group exchanged glances and reluctantly nodded before rushing toward the square.

In the square outside Hatchling Order.

The crowd was eating to the point of sweating profusely. Mana waves surged through their bodies like they had been injected with adrenaline. Their faces were flushed, and they were brimming with energy.

At this mont, Anthony and Aiden had also joined the feast of the dragon's corpse.

Their levels were quite high, so they ate quickly and, despite sweating, showed no signs of stopping.

Dragon blood and flesh not only nourished but also tasted divine. With just so salt and spices, it was delicious enough to make one want to swallow their own tongue.

While they were feasting, William, Jake, and the others arrived at the square.

Seeing Velen elegantly eating roasted at with a knife and fork, they greeted him and promptly joined the feast.

Two hours later.

The mbers of Ducal Manor were lying on the ground, rubbing their round bellies. Even their burps carried pure mana waves that disturbed the air.

This feast had brought significant benefits and improvents to every one of them.

And at the center of their attention, the dragon's corpse had been reduced to nothing but bones.

After greeting Velen, Jake eagerly carried the skeleton away, planning to craft dragon-bone artifacts with it!

"Independent Senator, this is my old friend, a berserker whose strength is comparable to Ascended Rank Level 4!"

Anthony brought Aiden to Velen.

Velen, unused to being addressed as "Independent Senator," felt a bit helpless. He glanced at the burly Aiden and humbly said, "You flatter . I'm just a mber of Ducal Manor, not an Independent Senator."

Aiden waved his hands repeatedly, saying, "Independent Senator, you're too modest. I'm just a passerby!"

Velen had been unanimously recognized as the Independent Senator by the senators of Ducal Manor. Aiden didn't dare to overstep.

Hearing this, Velen sighed and said, "Let's just stick to informal titles. Call Velen."

"?"

Aiden was montarily stunned.

If everyone used informal titles, wouldn't that be awkward?

Calling Velen by na while Anthony addressed him as "Independent Senator"—what should he call himself, then?

Just then, a system notification rang in Velen's ears.

"Congratulations, Host, for successfully flaunting wealth with the dragon corpse. Reward: 1,000 luxury points, 200 drops of dark dragon blood."

Dark dragon blood as a reward?

This was an unexpected delight! Velen already knew from Hael and others how precious dragon blood was. These 200 drops were imnsely valuable!

"Velen, thank you for today's dragon feast. I can now say I've tasted real dragon at in my lifeti. However, the blood of this dragon is truly extraordinary. For berserkers like us, it's the best possible supplent!"

Aiden expressed his gratitude but couldn't help feeling pained over the extravagant barbecue of an entire dragon.

"Is this what you call dragon blood?"

Velen thought for a mont. A viscous blood droplet, about the size of a walnut, appeared in his palm, and he held it up before Aiden's eyes.

"What intense dragon pressure!"

Just one glance made Aiden's heart race uncontrollably.

This aura—it was definitely from that dragon!

"Dragon blood, I can give you so. But I need to save so for my rabbit," Velen said casually.

For berserkers, dragon blood was imnsely beneficial. But for spellbeasts, it was equally valuable.

And as Velen's pet, the rabbit naturally deserved nothing less than the finest.

Hearing this, Aiden's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

Feeding dragon blood to a rabbit?

This was dragon blood—so rare and priceless that it could fetch an astronomical price at an auction!

Even Anthony and the others, familiar with Velen's extravagance, couldn't help but feel a pang of envy.

Their own living standards couldn't even compare to Velen's rabbit!

Was this the benefit of following the right person?

"Aiden, you don't understand. That rabbit, though ordinary at first, has been transforming into a spellbeast under the Independent Senator's care."

"Previously, it drank over 2,000 bottles of Master Rank Fortifying Potion. Its body is now immaculate, surpassing even the most elite spellbeast cubs in purity!"

After listening to Anthony's envious explanation, Aiden couldn't help but glance at Velen again.

My god!

What kind of background does this Velen have?

Even a rabbit gets such extravagant treatnt?

Master Rank Fortifying Potions were rare treasures even in the Titan Galaxy.

Yet Velen had fed over 2,000 bottles to a rabbit?

As far as Aiden knew, even the most prodigious talents of top factions hadn't received such nurturing.

And now this precious dragon blood—Velen planned to feed it to the rabbit!

This… this was pure opulence!

Aiden was utterly stunned by Velen's actions.

"Anthony, as old friends, don't play like this," Aiden said, his face serious as he looked at Anthony.

How could soone possibly be this rich?

And squander it to such an extent?

Velen glanced at Aiden, finding his reaction entirely within expectations.

This was just another uneventful and monotonous day in his life.

"You all chat. I'm heading back," Velen yawned. After eating so much dragon at, he felt a little drowsy.

"Aiden, since you're an old friend, co with . I'll offer you another opportunity," Anthony suddenly said.

Aiden froze. Another opportunity?

"Hey, hey! You haven't answered my question yet!"

Despite his confusion, Aiden followed Anthony and the others.

Not long after, they arrived at Anthony's grand hall. Aiden furrowed his brows when Anthony suddenly produced a glowing book.

"This is the opportunity you ntioned?"

Aiden couldn't figure out what Anthony was up to.

Anthony smiled and explained, "This is called the SSS To of Skill Experience. Absorbing it will enhance your skill proficiency."

Hearing this, Aiden stared at Anthony, half-believing.

"We've been friends for years. Don't you dare trick !"

Seeing Aiden's skeptical expression, Anthony shrugged and began putting away the SSS To of Skill Experience.

"If you don't believe , forget it. This is a rare treasure even in Ducal Manor."
