Reborn with Infinity Money System, I was Worshipped by All Universes! Chapter 269 - Chapter266-Is Mentor Not Qualified?
"Sovereign?"
Nikola's eyes widened in shock, staring at Velen with disbelief.
The hierarchy of power in the Upper Plane Universe was shrouded in mystery—even among its denizens, few dared to utter such titles casually. Yet here was Velen, speaking the word "Sovereign" so naturally. This filled Nikola with growing suspicion.
Where did Lord Velen even learn the term "Sovereign"?
If only Nikola knew that the two n standing humbly nearby in servant uniforms were actually Sovereigns from the Upper Plane Universe, he might well pass out from sheer fright.
"Lord Velen, my ntor is not a Sovereign… yet," Nikola replied honestly, though his mind swirled with confusion. "However, my grand ntor is an existence far beyond the Sovereign level—an overwhelming force of nature!"
Velen's expression, which monts ago had been filled with eager anticipation, instantly dimd with disappointnt.
He had long set a rule for his fortress: servants must be at least Sovereign-level powerhouses. With the Ascension to the Upper Plane Universe less than a month away, he had no intention of bending that rule now.
As for Nikola's so-called "grand ntor," Velen didn't think much of it.
But not far away, Apollo and the Blackgold Sovereign were struck dumb with shock.
"Wait… what?! That battle maniac actually has a grand ntor stronger than a Sovereign?!" Apollo's voice jumped a pitch, barely suppressing the disbelief in his tone. He turned toward his old peer. "Blackgold, have you heard of this?"
But the mont he turned his head—
"Huh? Where'd he go?"
Apollo looked around in confusion.
At that mont, the Blackgold Sovereign had already hurried to Velen's side, his tone lowered but urgent:
"Lord Velen, while it's true that Nikola's ntor may not et the requirents to serve in your fortress… his grand ntor certainly does!"
He leaned in even closer, adding with calculated enthusiasm, "More than that, his grand ntor surpasses both and Apollo in strength! When we ascend to the Upper Plane Universe… this could beco a major ally for us!"
Blackgold Sovereign had been watching Velen's expressions closely. The mont he noticed the flicker of disappointnt in Velen's face, he knew his mont had arrived.
Sure enough, Velen's eyes lit up again.
He'd been too focused on Nikola's direct ntor—how could he have overlooked the grand ntor?
A being whose strength far exceeded a Sovereign definitely qualified as a fortress servant.
"Blackgold, that's not a bad suggestion," Velen said, his mood visibly lifted. "You deserve a reward."
"You flatter , Lord Velen," Blackgold Sovereign said humbly, though he could barely contain his delight.
Velen handed over a space ring and instructed, "Inside are so Invincible Upgrade Potions. Give them to Jerry—they'll rapidly boost his strength. Also, pass along this artifact. But listen—no matter how much he improves, make sure he hides his true power. Anastasia must not find out. Got it?"
Blackgold Sovereign accepted the ring, his face gleaming with satisfaction. With a triumphant glance toward Apollo, he turned and strode confidently toward Jerry.
"Jerry! Quit moping around with that guy," he called out. "Your ntor just scored you so Invincible Upgrade Potions!"
"What? Invincible Upgrade Potions?!" Jerry's eyes lit up in joy. "ntor, you're the best!"
"That's right! Once you take them, your strength will skyrocket. We might even ascend together! As for Steven…" Blackgold Sovereign sighed exaggeratedly. "What a sha. Picked the wrong ntor. Such a waste."
With a final smug glance at Apollo, he led the elated Jerry away.
Damn it!
Apollo was fuming.
You really had to throw shade one last ti before leaving?!
"Blackgold! How dare you mock and disrupt my ntee's state of mind! This is outrageous!" he roared, his face flushed with fury.
Steven, completely demoralized, muttered miserably, "ntor… I want so potions too…"
"Cry a river! If you don't have any, then go snatch so!" Apollo snapped, barely restraining his anger.
anwhile, Velen turned back to Nikola with a serious expression. "Nikola, can you get in contact with your grand ntor?"
Nikola blinked in confusion. He still didn't understand where this was all going, but he answered honestly, "Lord Velen, I can't. I only know of his existence through my ntor. I've never had direct contact."
At that mont, a voice echoed in Velen's mind. It was the fortress guardian—One-Eye—his tone filled with excitent.
"Master! If you wish to bring soone from the Upper Plane Universe, you don't need a projection or avatar. As long as you provide a target, I can reach them. I've already sensed two beings carrying the Fenrir bloodline in the Upper Plane Universe. Just give the word—I can drag them here right away!"
Velen's lips curled into a smile, his eyes gleaming with interest. He looked at Nikola and asked, "Nikola, do you want to et your grand ntor—the one you've never seen before?"
"et my grand ntor?" Nikola looked completely dumbfounded. "Lord Velen… what are you saying? My ntor and grand ntor are both mighty beings from the Upper Plane Universe! eting them isn't sothing I can just decide to do!"
He was baffled by Velen's sudden line of questioning.
But Velen grew serious, locking eyes with him.
"I'll ask you one last ti. Nikola—do you want your grand ntor to personally guide you in cultivation?"
"Yes!" Nikola didn't hesitate. "That's my dream!"
He had no idea what Velen was planning, but if there was even the slightest chance his grand ntor might ntor him directly, he would seize it. With such guidance, maybe he could soon break through to the Ascended Rank.
Within the fortress—
One-Eye's lone eye lit up crimson.
He raised his blood-red scythe and slashed the air. A jagged spatial rift opened instantly.
He then stabbed the blade into the floor and thrust his right arm into the void without hesitation.
—
Upper Plane Universe.
Wearing a golden mage robe, the Darknight Sovereign was solemnly instructing his disciple, Sivan:
"Never would I have guessed that soone with the Fenrir bloodline would appear in a lower realm. Sivan, you must protect my grand-disciple Nikola at all costs. Nothing must go wrong before his ascension to our plane!"
"Rember—if danger strikes, contact imdiately. I will send a projection avatar to rescue you."
"Understood, ntor!" Sivan responded firmly, his eyes full of resolve.
Just then, without warning, a pitch-black spatial rift tore open directly in front of Darknight Sovereign.
An overwhelming force—a pressure so suffocating it felt like the void itself was watching—descended upon them.
Darknight Sovereign froze.
"Not good!" His voice trembled.
What was this monstrous presence?
"ntor, what do we do?!" Sivan's face turned pale with terror.
"Run! That thing… it's a horror beyond comprehension! I may not survive this. But you—you must protect Nikola and carry on the Fenrir bloodline!"
His voice had barely finished echoing when a giant hand reached out from the rift and dragged him inside.
"NO! ntor!!!"
Sivan stood frozen in place, too shocked to react.
When he finally ca to his senses, he turned and bolted like a madman, his heart pounding.
Has soone finally made a move against the Fenrir bloodline?
No… I must contact Nikola at once. He has to stay low in the lower realms—if not, he won't survive what's coming!
