Chapter 989: Chapter 989: Your Boyfriend Is So Handso
Chu Yin relaxed and let go of his hand.
She turned to look at Sang Li: “Mr. Sang, what are you doing here?”
“Passing by.”
“Passing by? The young master noticed you were gone and imdiately checked the surveillance. It turns out you were so greedy you didn’t even know soone was tailing you.”
Zhou Zhao interjected, dragging soone who was half-unconscious.
Chu Yin pointed at that person: “Who is he?”
“Paparazzi.” Zhou Zhao took out a cara.
Chu Yin imdiately stepped forward to check the cara, which was filled with photos of her and Luo Sheng.
The angles were quite tricky, making them look very intimate, clearly deliberate.
“Who put you up to this?” Chu Yin asked.
The paparazzo kept silent.
Sang Li glanced at Zhou Zhao.
Zhou Zhao unceremoniously twisted the man’s arm: “If you don’t tell the truth, I’ll make sure you can never pick up a cara again, and I’ll tell your peers you crossed soone you shouldn’t have. Do you think you’d still have a place in the industry?”
The pain brought the paparazzo back to his senses, and he quickly nodded.
“I’ll talk, I’ll say everything.”
“It was Luo Sheng who sent to secretly take photos.”
Chu Yin pursed her lips and questioned, “What did he tell you to write?”
“Just write that you two are suspected of being in a secret relationship and that all the online buzz is your self-promotion.” The paparazzo said.
Chu Yin was really taken aback, never expecting Luo Sheng to be so unscrupulous.
He has mostly female fans, and if news of a relationship broke out now, Chu Yin would surely be vilified.
At this mont, Sang Li approached the paparazzo, towering over him.
“Is that all?”
The tone was calm, yet it emanated a chilling undertone.
The paparazzo swallowed nervously and had no choice but to speak honestly.
“Luo Sheng will deny it, putting all the bla on your own publicity stunt. At that point, people will think you’re trying to use Luo Sheng’s popularity to boost yourself.”
Chu Yin felt she had underestimated Luo Sheng, only now seeing his true nature.
Evil.
She clenched her fist, planning to punch, but was stopped by Sang Li.
Sang Li said, “I’m the boss backing Chu Yin.”
“Wha—what?” The paparazzo was stunned.
“I want you to rewrite the press release.” Sang Li instructed.
The paparazzo bowed his head imdiately: “Yes, yes, Mr. Sang, whatever you say.”
“Just write that they have a good relationship in private, and there’s no rivalry. It’s just that their relationship is so good, they don’t know how to market a pairing.”
“Okay, I understand.” The paparazzo nodded repeatedly, though still worried, “I’m just afraid Luo Sheng will deny it.”
Sang Li coldly replied, “No, he’ll definitely agree.”
“Yes, Mr. Sang.”
After the discussion, Zhou Zhao deleted so of the intentionally angled shots and then returned the cara to the paparazzo.
The paparazzo left in a hurry.
Chu Yin awkwardly looked at Sang Li: “Thank you, but…”
Sang Li interrupted: “I won’t touch Luo Sheng, at least not until the drama finishes airing.”
“Thank you.” Chu Yin smiled.
“Let’s go.”
“Go where?”
“Aren’t you getting fried skewers?” Sang Li chided.
Chu Yin exclaid, “My skewers!”
She hurriedly ran towards the skewers stall.
“Boss lady, my skewers…”
The boss lady looked up and said, “Don’t worry, your boyfriend ca over and said it’s for later, so it’s just ready now.”
“Boyfriend?”
Chu Yin was taken aback.
Could it be Luo Sheng?
So disgusting, she didn’t even want the skewers anymore.
“Sorry for the trouble, boss lady.”
Sang Li’s voice sounded next to Chu Yin.
The boss lady smiled cheerfully, “No problem, handso.”
Then, she winked at Chu Yin.
“Miss, your boyfriend is really handso.”
Chu Yin ca to her senses and raised her hand to her mouth to ask the boss lady, “The boyfriend you ntioned, was it him?”
“Yes, unless you have several boyfriends? That’s impressive.”
“No.”
Chu Yin quickly denied, afraid that Sang Li might hear.
Then she discreetly held up one finger: “Just one.”
Although it was a misunderstanding, couldn’t she secretly enjoy it by herself?
While she chuckled, a bubble tea bag appeared in front of her.
She was startled and looked at the man beside her.
Sang Li said, “Didn’t you want bubble tea?”
Chu Yin took the bubble tea and found that it had been swapped for a hot one.
So considerate.
Chu Yin leaned over and said, “Mr. Sang, what should I do?”
“Hmm?”
“I’m falling for you even more.”
“Just eat your skewers.”
Sang Li cleared his throat.
The boss lady specially set up a table for them inside.
Once Chu Yin and the others sat down, Zhou Zhao grabbed a skewer.
“I didn’t order anything for you.”
“You know my mouth won’t stop, either I eat or I talk. Do you think now’s the right ti for chatter?”
Zhou Zhao half-jokingly took a bite of a sausage.
Chu Yin pouted, “Then eat more.”
It’s safer to keep his mouth shut.
Zhou Zhao stifled a laugh.
Chu Yin picked up a piece of fried rice cake, imdiately reminded of the skewers outside her high school back then.
It was just this taste.
She turned to let Sang Li try it, but saw him sitting upright, not even letting his clothes touch the edge of the table.
Right.
Such high-end fabric would be ruined by oil.
Chu Yin quickly wiped her mouth, planning to stop eating.
Zhou Zhao suddenly comnted, “Chu Yin, is there a flower on the young master’s face? Why can’t you stop staring? Or do you want to offer him so skewers?”
Chu Yin shot Zhou Zhao a glare.
Wasn’t it agreed we’d stay silent while eating?
Zhou Zhao pretended not to notice and continued, “No way? Chu Yin, the young master helped you so much, and you can’t even bring yourself to offer him skewers?”
“No! He’s not used to it.” Chu Yin replied irritably.
“Who says?” Sang Li looked at Chu Yin, “Recomnd sothing.”
Chu Yin was slightly surprised, then figured it out,
She laughed, “Mr. Sang, it’s okay, you don’t have to accommodate . Even ordinary people might not like skewers; I won’t overthink it.”
Sang Li stared at her, his gaze deep.
“Watching you two eat so heartily, I want to try it too. Why shouldn’t life be about trying new things? What does it matter if it looks unsuitable?”
Chu Yin’s heart thumped, feeling like there was a deeper aning.
No, she couldn’t overanalyze.
The man in front of her is the one she likes, and she might overinterpret every word he says.
It’s maddening.
She maintained a smile, pretending not to overthink: “Okay, I’ll pick one for you, but I eat spicy, not sure if you can handle it.”
Sang Li responded with a hum.
Chu Yin then picked a rice cake skewer for him.
“I love this one, mildly spicy, sprinkled with sesa seeds, it’s very flavorful.”
Sang Li didn’t think twice and took a big bite.
Instantly, his face turned red.
Chu Yin had never seen soone turn red so quickly from eating spicy food.
Zhou Zhao across from her stifled a laugh.
Chu Yin looked at him: “You’re still laughing, your young master is about to be overwheld by the spice.”
“Get the young master so water, but he doesn’t drink this kind of tea. How about this, your bubble tea…”
“Hey, hey, hey… I already drank from it.”
Zhou Zhao selectively ignored this and just handed Chu Yin’s bubble tea to Sang Li.
Chu Yin thought Sang Li would refuse.
Unexpectedly, he drank it straight away.
Sang Li took a deep breath: “Chu Yin, you call this mildly spicy?”
