Sorry?

Chu Yin thought she must have misheard; she never expected these three words to co from her mother’s mouth.

In the past, Mrs. Chu only felt sorry for her younger sister Chu Wu.

No matter the mistakes, neither the parents nor Chu Wu would be wrong, let alone apologize.

After snapping back to reality, Chu Yin helped Mrs. Chu into the hospital room.

"Mom, what’s going on? Where’s Chu Wu?"

"After Chu Wu’s condition stabilized, she went out to work with Xuyao. Her treatnt cost our family a lot, and your father hoped she would rest for a while before working, but she insisted on going, and your dad has been sulking ever since."

Mrs. Chu wiped her tears.

Chu Yin sneered, "Right, only Chu Wu can affect Dad’s mood in this family."

She wasn’t very disappointed because she had long been accustod to her parents’ favoritism.

Perhaps sensing her emotions, Mrs. Chu hastily explained.

"Your dad and I have been reflecting a lot recently. We’ve been too partial to Chu Wu over the years, neglecting your feelings."

Mrs. Chu choked, "We’re getting old and increasingly afraid that you’ll drift further away from us."

"Ah Yin, I’m so sorry, Mom is really sorry."

While speaking, Father Chu on the bed also woke up.

He weakly asked, "Is Ah Yin here? Has she finally co to see ? Has she forgiven ? It’s my fault."

Faced with her parents’ remorse, Chu Yin felt a little uneasy.

She instinctively took a step back but was quickly hugged by Mrs. Chu.

Chu Yin stiffened; she couldn’t even rember the last ti her mother held her like this.

All these years, she had always longed for her parents’ affection.

Unexpectedly, Chu Wu’s recklessness made her parents rember her virtues.

But Chu Yin was no longer accustod to such familial warmth and pulled herself out of Mrs. Chu’s embrace.

She quickly walked to the foot of the bed to check the dical records.

"What’s wrong with Dad?"

"Your dad has had the three high conditions for a while, and he was so upset by your sister that he almost..." Mrs. Chu sighed.

Chu Yin put down the dical records and asked, "Has Chu Wu visited yet?"

"She ca once, barely said anything, and then just ntioned she had to go to work." Mrs. Chu spoke hesitantly.

Father Chu was furious, "Don’t talk to about her. She’s always preoccupied with n now; she doesn’t care about us anymore."

Mrs. Chu quickly reassured him, "Don’t say that, or you’ll get sick again."

Looking at the two of them, Chu Yin didn’t want to ask further.

It seed Mo Xuyao and Chu Wu were pretty inseparable now.

Chu Yin abruptly said, "I happen to know a doctor. I’ll ask him to check your situation."

Just as she turned around, Mrs. Chu quickly held her back.

"Ah Yin, no need. We’ve seen many doctors who said it’s an old issue. Why accrue another favor?"

"We’re getting old. All we wish for is to have our children nearby."

Chu Yin looked at her parents, nodded, but still wasn’t used to their closeness.

She opened her bag and took out her phone, "I don’t have much money, but I’ll cover part of the dical expenses."

She wasn’t a fool. Why should she cover what was purely for Chu Wu’s sake?

Chu Wu was working with Mo Xuyao now, and her salary couldn’t be low.

While transferring the money, Chu Yin noticed an emotion flash across Mrs. Chu’s face out of the corner of her eye.

Looking back, she saw only sadness on Mrs. Chu’s face.

Mrs. Chu said, "Ah Yin, no need. You’ve already given us so much money. We’re not lacking financially. I just hope you’ll co to visit us more and not hold any grudges."

Hearing this, Chu Yin remained silent.

She gave an awkward smile and changed the topic, "Since Dad’s fine now, I’ll take my leave. I’m quite busy lately; I’ll visit when I have the ti."

"Okay, okay, I’ll make sothing delicious for you. Don’t you love sashimi? I’ll buy it in advance for you..."

"I’m not the one who loves sashimi."

Chu Yin put down her phone, not wanting to give a cent.

Initially, she thought about her legal obligation as a daughter, but now she didn’t care.

The law could co find her instead.

Seeing her put the phone down, Mrs. Chu chuckled dryly, "It’s just my old age making forgetful."

"I’m leaving now."

Chu Yin turned, and Mrs. Chu followed closely behind.

"Ah Yin, stay a bit longer."

"No, I’m a bit busy."

Chu Yin briskly walked out of the hospital room.

The parental love she had always desired was now at her fingertips, yet she felt sothing indescribable.

After taking a few steps, Mrs. Chu did not follow her out.

Chu Yin looked back, sighed, and left.

As she descended the stairs, footsteps suddenly echoed behind her.

Could it be that Sang Li was worried about her?

She smiled, turned around, "What? Worried about ..."

Before she finished speaking, she saw who it was and stepped back in fear.

"Ah Yin!"

The man stretched out his arms to hug her.

Chu Yin raised her hand to block him, "Don’t co near!"

What a streak of bad luck—it was Mo Xuyao.

Mo Xuyao looked at her affectionately, as if he wasn’t the one who cheated with Chu Wu before.

"Ah Yin, do you know? I’ve been waiting here every day for you. Heaven didn’t disappoint , I finally t you."

"..."

Chu Yin felt a strong urge to curse.

How much did the heavens despise her to let her run into Mo Xuyao again?

Chu Yin took a deep breath, mindful that now she was a public figure.

She didn’t want any scandal with an ex-boyfriend surfacing while her show was airing.

She pushed Mo Xuyao away, widening the distance between them.

"Mr. Mo, let’s talk properly. There’s no need for any physical contact."

Then, she reminded him, "Mr. Mo, I hear from my parents that you and my sister are working together now. Congratulations."

Mo Xuyao frowned, "Ah Yin, are you really going to talk to like that?"

Chu Yin pursed her lips, "I’m just stating a fact. Since you’ve chosen to be with Chu Wu, be with her properly."

She wasn’t a trash bin to recycle every piece of garbage.

But Mo Xuyao remained relentless.

"Don’t bring up Chu Wu. I once thought she was the one I loved. But when we finally got together, I realized she was not right for . She constantly needed her emotions looked after and made many mistakes at work. Seeing her beca a bother."

"Since then, all I could think about was you. We were so in sync before, and just having you sit by made everything seem easier."

"Ah Yin, let’s get back together."

Chu Yin listened, feeling a shiver run down her spine.

What was wrong with this guy?

Back then, for Chu Wu, he almost ruined her to please Chu Wu.

Now he wanted to reconcile?

Chu Yin laughed coldly, "Sorry, I have no such intention. I have things to do, so I’m leaving."

She turned to leave, but Mo Xuyao seed to predict her movent and wrapped his arms around her.

"Ah Yin, I know you love , otherwise why would you still be single?"

"Other than , how can you find soone better? Don’t be so stubborn, just let things go."

Mo Xuyao was as arrogant and pompous as ever.

Back then, Chu Yin was young and saw his arrogance as capability.

After he got together with Chu Wu, she realized Mo Xuyao inherently looked down on her.

He thought he had her under his thumb because she was rejected by her parents and outshined by her sister.

So she couldn’t escape, and he could trample all over her feelings.

He was pure scum.
