Chapter 813: Chapter 813: She Has Had a Child

The Fourth Uncle still wanted to persuade them to stay, but the Yuan family had already left.

He looked angrily at Li Huan.

“What exactly do you want? Do they need to deceive you with their power and influence? They just want you to date their daughter, that’s all.”

“And then they give you a chance to invest in a project?” Li Huan exposed the Fourth Uncle’s intentions, “I told you a long ti ago, don’t use as a favor. If the Yuan family is so great, why not let your son go?”

“I… that’s because Miss Yuan has taken a liking to you.”

“No, it’s because your son is getting very close to the dean’s daughter recently, and his career prospects are bright. You couldn’t bear to let him go. Fourth Uncle, this is my last warning to you, don’t ddle in my family’s affairs.”

Li Huan looked at the Fourth Uncle with sharp eyes.

The Fourth Uncle felt a sudden tightness in his chest.

“You are really rebellious! If it weren’t for the fact that you and your mother are alone, I wouldn’t even bother to promote you! You’ve been a lowly doctor for so many years, what’s the use of that? Do you really want to be with that illegitimate daughter? Hahaha, what a joke.”

Li Huan chuckled: “I’ve said what I needed to say, if you’re so optimistic about this investnt project, go ahead and invest, I won’t stop you, but don’t involve my family.”

“Li Huan! How can you talk to your elders like that?” Mrs. Li advised.

“Or what? Marry soone else for their family’s benefit?”

“You…”

Mrs. Li was speechless.

The Fourth Uncle left with a cold snort.

Mrs. Li took a deep breath: “I’ve talked to that Miss Yuan, she’s actually a nice person.”

“I don’t like her.”

“Li Huan, you haven’t even interacted with her, how do you know you don’t like her?” Mrs. Li retorted.

“From her looks, she looks very much like her father, soone who knows how to disguise herself.”

“You’re a doctor, when did you start believing in that?”

“Just now.” Li Huan stood up and looked at his mother, “Mom, don’t get involved in the Fourth Uncle’s matters, if there’s really sothing good, he’ll definitely think of his son first, not your son.”

Mrs. Li looked at his attitude and deeply frowned.

“Have you been seeing that woman again?”

“It’s all been explained online…”

“No, you can’t!”

Mrs. Li turned and went upstairs.

Li Huan rubbed his temples, wishing he hadn’t co back.

After returning to his room, he sent a ssage to Gong Chen.

“Have you heard of the Yuan Corporation?”

“The finance company?”

“Yeah.”

“Your family is really special, always targeted by scamrs.”

Gong Chen’s reply was straightforward.

Because Li Huan’s father had also been scamd in an investnt failure.

According to Li Huan, after that major blow, the Li family basically accepted that they were not cut out for business.

Except for his Fourth Uncle.

Over the years, Li Huan’s Fourth Uncle has been very active, with diocre results.

If it weren’t for the solid family foundation, they probably wouldn’t be able to withstand his squandering.

After reading it, Li Huan awkwardly laughed himself.

“Got it.”

“I’ll have soone keep an eye out for you.”

“Thanks.”

Li Huan lay back on his bed, just about to close his eyes and rest for a while when his phone rang.

He answered the call.

“What’s up?”

“Doctor Li, didn’t you ask to keep an eye on Fu Shu before? She’s suddenly being discharged, and the attending doctor tried to convince her, but she wouldn’t listen. I saw she packed her things and hasn’t co back since she went to do the paperwork.”

Li Huan imdiately got out of bed.

“Could you help find her and keep her steady?”

“Sure.”

Li Huan felt sothing was off.

He quickly called Gong Chen.

“Fu Shu insists on being discharged. We just saw Gu Yingxi, and now she’s leaving. Could it be…”

“Contact Gu Yingxi, she might know sothing. Let’s et up later.” Gong Chen instructed.

“Alright.”

Li Huan hung up the phone and went downstairs.

Mrs. Li heard the noise and ca out to pursue him.

“Weren’t you going to stay for dinner? Why are you leaving again?”

“There’s an ergency at the hospital.”

Li Huan, having too many urgent matters, asked the butler to call for a car.

Mrs. Li reached out to stop him: “No, you can’t fool . You’re definitely going to et that woman.”

“Mom, I really have sothing urgent. Don’t do this.” Li Huan explained.

“It’s you who shouldn’t be doing this. That woman approaching you has ulterior motives. You can’t fall for it!”

Mrs. Li was determined not to let Li Huan go.

At that mont, Li Huan’s phone received a ssage from the nurse.

“Doctor Li, hurry up! She seems to have disappeared.”

Li Huan was about to reply to the ssage, but his phone was snatched by his mother and smashed.

“Are you even listening to ! I said no!”

“Mom!” Li Huan picked up the now-black screen phone from the floor, angrily saying, “Mom, you’ve gone too far. I’m not a child. I know what I’m doing!”

After saying this, he left the old house without looking back.

Arriving at the hospital.

The nurse saw him and quickly ran over.

“Doctor Li, why are you so slow? She’s already gone. I couldn’t leave my post, but if you were a bit earlier, you could have t her in the parking lot.”

Li Huan took a deep breath: “Could I borrow your phone, please?”

“Sure.”

The nurse handed over her phone.

Li Huan dialed Gu Yingxi’s number.

But it kept showing as unreachable on the other end.

He could only call and ask, “Have you seen Doctor Gu?”

The nurse nodded: “She ca to the hospital before, but she went straight to the dean’s office, and later she visited Fu Shu’s ward, then left.”

“The dean?”

Li Huan then called the dean.

“Dean, what did Doctor Gu co to see you for?”

“She resigned, said her daughter was ill. I couldn’t say much about it, so I let her go and take care of her daughter.” The dean replied.

“Okay, thank you.”

Putting down the phone, Li Huan knew that Gu Yingxi’s resignation must an she told Fu Shu sothing.

No wonder Gong Chen said that Gu Yingxi knew sothing.

anwhile, Gong Chen’s car also arrived.

He and Chen Jin walked over quickly.

“Where is she?”

“Gone.” Li Huan said apologetically, “I got delayed by sothing.”

Gong Chen glanced at him: “No worries, but the people I sent out say she hasn’t returned to the Jiang family either.”

Li Huan rubbed his forehead: “What exactly is Gu Yingxi hiding? She even went to alert Fu Shu. This is too strange.”

At this mont, Gong Chen understood that the reluctance in Gu Yingxi’s eyes was for Fu Shu’s sake.

But for her, as an ex-wife, to hide things for a third party, there must be an issue.

At this point, Chen Jin approached.

“Third Young Master, before Fu Shu disappeared, Fu Bin went to see Old Master Jiang, but left shortly after.”

Gong Chen furrowed his brow, unable to figure anything out for the mont.

Li Huan looked around: “Why don’t we go talk in my office.”

“Okay.”

As they were about to leave, they heard Li Huan’s colleague’s voice from behind.

“Doctor Li, wait a mont.”

Li Huan turned around, realizing it was his colleague who had previously examined Fu Shu.

“What’s up?”

“Do you rember what you asked about before? I brought it for you this week, I happened to see you, so here it is.”

He reached into his bag and took out the missing examination paper.

It’s quite ironic to ntion that Fu Shu initially ca in for prenatal checks, but now she’s lost the qualification to be a mother.

Li Huan glanced at the report, eyes widening in shock as he pointed at a few ones on a particular section.

“She had a child!”
