After Chu Yin was rescued, her legs had long gone weak, and she collapsed directly into Sang Li’s arms.

She leaned against him, gasping for breath.

"The curator... was threatened, and on the phone, there was the sound of a child and a woman crying."

"He demanded the curator kill and then commit suicide."

"It was Bai Zhengxian, it was him, I recognized his voice."

Sang Li watched her speak, blood still seeping from the corner of her mouth, and tightly gripped her shoulder.

"Don’t talk anymore. I’ll take you to the hospital first."

"Okay..."

Before the words were finished, Chu Yin fainted.

...

Hospital.

When Chu Yin woke up, everyone was in the room.

Li Huan stood by the bedside, noticed her opening her eyes, and imdiately asked, "Is there anywhere else uncomfortable?"

"My hand hurts."

"You have new and old injuries on your hand, it would be strange if it didn’t hurt," Li Huan said.

Chu Yin smiled and turned to look at Lin Zhiyi.

Lin Zhiyi, her ankle bandaged, could only co over in a wheelchair.

eting Chu Yin’s gaze, she quickly said, "It’s just a sprain, don’t worry, you get so rest."

Chu Yin sighed with relief, "What about Fang Sisi and them?"

"They were rescued. Dostic police tead up with foreign police to raid the Bai Ruoshu Art Museum and uncovered many won and children held captive. They’re... all settled now."

Lin Zhiyi didn’t know how to recount the experiences of those people.

The Bai Ruoshu Art Museum was a very old building, with two underground levels besides the ground floor.

The interior was renovated into different rooms.

So were used to hold the captives, and so were for the entertainnt of wealthy businessn.

So were to be sent to buyers by special personnel, dead or alive, they would handle the aftermath.

Even in death, they would extract any value before disposal.

What ordinary people could imagine, and what they couldn’t, they did it all.

Currently, all police forces are there gathering evidence of cris.

Hearing this, Chu Yin felt her suffering was not in vain.

"Have the Bai Family been caught?" she asked again.

No answer ca, only silence filled the room.

Even the sound of Li Huan writing stopped.

Chu Yin looked at everyone, puzzled.

"What’s wrong?"

"The Bai Family, through lawyer negotiations, has already been released," Lin Zhiyi said, twisting her fingers.

"What? How could they be released when the evidence is conclusive? Did they threaten soone into helping them again?"

"No, it’s just that the most crucial direct evidence is gone."

"How is that possible? I saw Sisi send it out with my own eyes..."

Chu Yin fell silent under everyone’s gaze.

She asked, "Why are you all looking at like that?"

Lin Zhiyi hesitated to speak, "Fang Sisi said you were the one operating the computer, she knew nothing, she said perhaps you were too scared at the ti and accidentally hit delete instead of send."

"I didn’t! I didn’t!"

Ignoring her wounds, Chu Yin sat up straight.

Lin Zhiyi wanted to calm her, but her own foot was injured too.

Fortunately, Sang Li quickly stepped forward, grasping Chu Yin’s shoulders to control her movents.

"Don’t move, do you want to lose your hand?"

Chu Yin bit her lip, saying very seriously, "I really didn’t touch the computer, you can check the records."

Sang Li: "The computer had a self-destruct program, after deleting the evidence, the self-destruct program initiated, and while we were dealing with the curator, the computer beca as useless as a brick."

Lin Zhiyi: "The Bai Family claid the curator took advantage of his position to conspire with outsiders for this business, the Bai Family was unaware. We submitted evidence you printed from President Bai’s computer, but those arrested only confessed to dealing with the curator, denying any connection with the Bai Family."

Chu Yin was unwilling, "What about those rescued? They must know so inside information."

Lin Zhiyi remained silent.

Sang Li explained, "How did the Bai Family contact those people?"

Chu Yin blurted out, "Phone or video calls... No evidence, right? Even if there are call records, they don’t an anything, the Bai Family planned their retreat by keeping the curator on their payroll."

"Hmm."

Sang Li nodded.

"But I..."

Knock, knock, knock.

The knocking interrupted Chu Yin.

The door opened, and a nurse wheeled in the injured Fang Sisi.

Seeing her, Chu Yin could no longer control her emotions and rushed over.

"Sisi, what’s really going on?"

Fang Sisi lowered her pale face, her hands rubbing the blanket on her legs.

Over and over.

Finally, she looked up at Chu Yin, smiling bitterly, "Ah Yin, we don’t bla you, don’t take it too hard, we’re already lucky to be alive."

Chu Yin: "..."

She stepped forward and grabbed Fang Sisi by the wrist.

"Why are you saying that? How could you delete the evidence and activate the self-destruct? What about the suffering you endured? And those who never ca back, how are they to be accounted for?"

Fang Sisi cried, choking on her words, "So... Ah Yin, did you delete it because you were nervous, or because you’re a star and couldn’t let those videos of you out? We don’t bla you anymore, please don’t push us, okay?"

"..."

Chu Yin looked at Fang Sisi, incredulous.

At the ti, only she, Fang Sisi, and the curator were in the office.

Now the curator was dead, and from a victim’s perspective, Fang Sisi was more eager than anyone to catch the mastermind.

So, the one who deleted the evidence could only be...

Chu Yin felt deflated, like a balloon losing air, her figure shrinking.

As she collapsed, Sang Li stretched out and carried her back to bed.

"No more questions, she needs to rest now."

Lin Zhiyi wheeled up to the bedside, gripping Chu Yin’s cold hand tightly.

"I believe in Chu Yin. As long as sothing was done, there will be traces, we can cooperate with the police to investigate slowly."

She looked up to et Fang Sisi’s eyes.

Fang Sisi imdiately lowered her head, her face whiter than before.

She rubbed the blanket vigorously, not daring to look at Lin Zhiyi.

Lin Zhiyi already had a few certainties in her heart about the truth.

Yet one thing kept lingering in her mind.

Fang Sisi’s na was not on the list of victims in her dream.

Could it be she was rescued in the end?

Lin Zhiyi didn’t know, she could only temporarily focus her thoughts on Chu Yin.

"Chu Yin, it’s alright now."

She looked at Sang Li, "Mr. Sang, could you..."

"Mr. Sang, could you step outside for a mont?" Fang Sisi interrupted her.

Lin Zhiyi was montarily stunned, an inexplicable feeling made her uncomfortable.

She turned to look, seeing Fang Sisi’s tear-filled eyes looking at Sang Li.

Sang Li nodded, following Fang Sisi out of the ward.

On the bed, Chu Yin turned over, gripping the quilt tightly, her face ashen.

The door closed.

Li Huan looked at Lin Zhiyi, then at the dazed Chu Yin on the bed,

"When the police questioned Fang Sisi and the other girls, I was beside them. They had a unified story, knowing nothing about the Bai Family, only that they were deceived by the curator."

Lin Zhiyi was furious and tried to stand, but accidentally knocked her injured foot, and fell back into her chair.

"She couldn’t possibly not know! She’s clearly shirking responsibility! If the victims’ families find out Chu Yin deleted the evidence, what will happen to Chu Yin?"
