Chapter 560: Chapter 560: Ye Feifei Goes Crazy

Chen Jin quickly stepped forward to help Zhou Zhao up.

“Li Huan.”

“Coming, coming.” Li Huan hurried up to assist, simultaneously checking Zhou Zhao’s body, frowning, “Go to the hospital, internal injury.”

Zhou Zhao, barely conscious, glanced at Li Huan: “Lost so weight, serves you right for fooling .”

Li Huan helped him steady his breath: “Ancestor, stop talking while coughing up blood, it’s quite eerie.”

“I’m worried about you not sleeping or eating well, and you say I’m eerie? Have so humanity!”

“So touching, I’ll treat you to ten als when you’re better!” Li Huan promised as he supported him.

“That’s more like it.” Zhou Zhao turned his head to Chen Jin, handing back the cleaned knife, “Here, don’t resent later.”

Chen Jin frowned, “No.”

If he resented, he wouldn’t have given him the knife before entering the door.

Except for Gong Chen, Li Huan had never touched his knife.

Lin Zhiyi took out Gong Chen’s handkerchief and stepped forward to wipe Zhou Zhao’s blood.

“Why is he still coughing up blood?”

“Miss Lin, missing out on our young master is your loss.”

Zhou Zhao, with blood-stained teeth, still managed to laugh.

“He’s delirious, get him to the hospital quickly.”

Li Huan grabbed the handkerchief to cover Zhou Zhao’s mouth.

Better not let him get killed by bodyguards, only to be killed by Gong Chen first.

Lin Zhiyi quickly said, “I’ll call Liao Yi and have her wait downstairs, she’s good at driving.”

“Quick, quick…”

Li Huan and Chen Jin helped Zhou Zhao and left.

Gong Chen and Sang Li ran over to brace against the elevator door.

After going downstairs, Li Huan and Chen Jin brought Zhou Zhao into Liao Yi’s car and left first.

Lin Zhiyi was just about to get into Sang Li’s car with Gong Chen when a voice suddenly called out from behind.

“Lin Zhiyi! Why are you still alive in good health! Yet I’m neither human nor ghost! I’ll kill you!”

It was Ye Feifei.

Not only had she escaped from the police, but she also had a dessert fork in her hand.

Typically, you’d use such a fork when drinking coffee with dessert.

It looked slender and exquisite, and with the light casting on it on a table, it was not only tasteful but also photogenic.

Seemingly harmless, it could indeed be deadly if it pierced a vital point.

Everything happened so suddenly, not only Lin Zhiyi failed to react, even Gong Chen and Sang Li reacted a beat slower.

Lin Zhiyi wanted desperately to dodge, but her body wouldn’t cooperate, she could only watch as Ye Feifei thrust the fork towards her neck.

At the critical mont, soone forcefully pushed her aside, and she heard a woman’s scream next to her ear.

“Ah!”

Lin Zhiyi turned her head to look.

She saw Bai Ruoshu fall painfully into Gong Chen’s arms, the tip of the fork already embedded in her arm.

Her face pale, she looked up at Gong Chen, trembling: “Is Zhiyi okay?”

“…”

Before Lin Zhiyi could speak, Bai Ruoshu fainted in Gong Chen’s arms.

Ye Feifei was also subdued by the police who had rushed over.

The police looked at Bai Ruoshu’s bleeding arm: “Take her to the hospital first.”

Hospital.

Zhou Zhao was still in surgery, and Bai Ruoshu was sent to have her wound treated, accompanied by the police.

Because the incident involved the Gong Group, Gong Chen also followed along.

Li Huan, Chen Jin, and Liao Yi were sowhat puzzled when they saw Bai Ruoshu being brought in.

Not to ntion them, even Lin Zhiyi was a bit bewildered.

It was the police who ca over to explain the situation.

“When we were about to leave, Ye Feifei suddenly had difficulty breathing, so we had to stop and give her first aid. Sohow, she seized the opportunity to dash towards Miss Lin.”

Lin Zhiyi exclaid, “Suddenly? But how did she have a dessert fork in her hand?”

The police explained, “When we helped her to the rest area, there was a young lady on the other side having coffee and snacks. Oh, it was Miss Bai who saved you.”

Bai Ruoshu.

A subtle feeling crossed Lin Zhiyi’s mind.

She bit her lip and asked, “Did Miss Bai talk to Ye Feifei?”

The police, understanding her implication imdiately, looked at Lin Zhiyi with a strange expression.

“Miss Lin, everything requires evidence. Miss Bai almost had her artery and nerve pierced while saving you. If not treated promptly, it could lead to nerve damage and movent impairnt, or even amputation in severe cases.”

“So for both your and her sake, be careful what you say.”

Lin Zhiyi felt suddenly embarrassed.

It was as if she was repaying kindness with ingratitude.

But she didn’t retreat, raising her gaze defiantly: “Ye Feifei intended to kill , and she escaped from your custody. Is it unreasonable for to suspect sothing went wrong? So can you tell if Ye Feifei talked to Miss Bai?”

The policeman paused and proceeded with official protocol, “No, we are all certain they did not converse.”

Lin Zhiyi paused, then changed the subject, “Where is Third Young Master?”

“Miss Bai found the pain from her wound too overwhelming, so she asked Third Young Master to accompany her. I’m just here to explain the situation. May I trouble Miss Lin to write out her grievances with Ye Feifei?”

Putting down the pen and paper, he left without looking back.

Liao Yi rushed over, “Did Bai Ruoshu cast a spell on him? You’re a victim too, and they’re treating you like a criminal.”

Lin Zhiyi tightly clenched the pen in her hand.

Bai Ruoshu’s status was not to be overlooked.

Combined with saving her and getting injured, her standing naturally gained more weight.

But…

Lin Zhiyi stared at the closed door, wondering why Gong Chen had not co out?

He and Bai Ruoshu shouldn’t be close enough for her to fearfully need him by her side, right?

“Zhiyi, are you alright?”

Sang Li’s steady voice called out.

Lin Zhiyi pulled herself back together and shook her head, “I’m fine.”

After experiencing so much, she saw no need to suspect Gong Chen again.

With this ti, she would rather worry about Zhou Zhao.

“How’s Zhou Zhao?”

“His ribs are fractured in two places, and he has varying degrees of injuries on his limbs. The old man’s twin bodyguards had pre-tied devices on their arms and legs to enhance power, Zhou Zhao withstood several hits before finding an opportunity to counter.”

Zhou Zhao once fought the twins and won with Chen Jin’s help.

This illustrates how dangerous it was in a one-on-two this ti.

Lin Zhiyi apologized, “I’m sorry.”

Sang Li smiled reassuringly, “It was Zhou Zhao’s own request to stay and help this ti. He truly cherishes his friends here, and it was his choice. It’s not your fault.”

Hearing this, Lin Zhiyi looked up at the trio a few steps away.

Chen Jin, Li Huan, Liao Yi.

A warmth spread through her heart.

Just then, a nurse ca out.

“Where is Zhou Zhao’s family? Co sign here!”

Everyone stepped forward almost simultaneously, but only Sang Li was qualified to sign for Zhou Zhao.

Sang Li left with the nurse.

Seeing the urgency on the nurse’s face, Lin Zhiyi couldn’t help but clasp her hands in worry.

Li Huan ca over, “Don’t worry, I’ve asked the doctor, Zhou Zhao will be fine.”

Reassuring others, yet breaking into a cold sweat himself.

The scene was sowhat amusing.

Liao Yi waved a hand, “Alright, let’s not scare ourselves. Let’s talk about sothing else. Zhiyi, how co you weren’t surprised at all that Li Huan didn’t betray Third Young Master? Did you know beforehand?”

Lin Zhiyi glanced at Li Huan.

“Last ti he got injured, and we visited him in the hospital, he was speaking really out of character, so I tested by calling him Huanhuan, and he didn’t object, implying sothing must’ve happened. Otherwise, he would’ve definitely said…”

“Huan what Huan!” Li Huan interjected, “I had a bug on then, certain things had to be communicated through hints. Fortunately, we’ve known each other for years for a reason.”

“Actually, even without these hints, I knew you wouldn’t betray Third Young Master,” Lin Zhiyi affird.

Li Huan cleared his throat, feeling slightly embarrassed.

“Right, what’s with Bai Ruoshu? Why would she inexplicably risk herself to save you?”
