Chapter 50: Chapter 50 Do You Think It Looks Good? Chapter 50: Chapter 50 Do You Think It Looks Good? When she first awoke, everything before Lin Zhiyi’s eyes was indeed shrouded in darkness.

But gradually, so white spots appeared before her, and then blurry figures.

It was at this ti that Shen Yan arrived.

Now, she could basically see people clearly.

She had solely been teasing Shen Yan earlier, who could bla her for spiking the milk.

Lin Zhiyi lowered her index finger, took a bite of sesa ball, “You all go on with your work, I’m fine now.”

“But Shen Yan…” Lai’er was not quite at ease, silently gesturing toward the room door.

“This is a hospital, she wouldn’t dare do much.”

“Alright then.”

The three of them collected their things and stood up to leave the ward.

As soon as they were gone, Shen Yan ca back, her complexion back to normal, even carrying a trace of a sinister smile.

Lin Zhiyi continued to pretend she couldn’t see.

“Zhiyi, the weather outside is particularly nice, how about I help you go down for a walk? It might relax your mood, and you could recover faster,” Shen Yan suggested.

Shen Yan walked to the bedside, directly uncovered Lin Zhiyi’s blanket, and without regard for her supposed blindness, pulled her out of bed.

Lin Zhiyi didn’t resist and let herself be dragged out of the ward.

“Shen Yan, slow down, I can’t see.”

“Don’t be afraid, I’ll take good care of you.”

Shen Yan had convinced herself that Lin Zhiyi couldn’t see, so she didn’t bother to disguise the expression on her face.

A darkly mocking sneer.

Lin Zhiyi knew instantly that Shen Yan was up to no good again.

In the blink of an eye, Shen Yan led her into the hospital garden.

Eventually, the two of them reached the edge of a small lake.

Shen Yan stopped, suddenly letting go of Lin Zhiyi’s hand.

“Zhiyi, I forgot to get you a jacket, wait here for , and I’ll go fetch one for you.”

“Shen Yan, I can’t see, I…” Lin Zhiyi reminded.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be quick.”

Shen Yan’s voice teasingly lingered as she walked away.

Lin Zhiyi stood by the lakeside, looking very uneasy.

In the garden at dawn, the place was sparsely populated, and the wind that blew carried a hint of chill.

Lin Zhiyi hugged her arms, shivering slightly, looking particularly vulnerable and pitiful by the lakeside.

At that mont, a figure quietly approached from behind.

The corners of Lin Zhiyi’s mouth twitched slightly; the fox’s tail finally couldn’t stay hidden.

Just when the person behind her was about to push her, she tried to step aside, only to find soone was faster than her, pulling her away.

She fell hard against a solid chest.

A pair of hands held her tightly, the knuckles almost embedding into her back.

Lin Zhiyi didn’t have ti to feel the pain when a splash was heard from behind her.

“Gurgling… Help! Help… Save !”

Shen Yan was thrashing about in the water.

However, Lin Zhiyi didn’t focus on her, but was instead shocked to see the person before her, Gong Chen!

What was he doing here?

A few seconds later, she quickly ca to her senses about her supposed blind state, promptly lowered her eyelids, and pretended to push him away, acting as if she was trying to rescue Shen Yan.

But she was pulled back again.

“Can’t you stay out of trouble when you’re blind!”

Lin Zhiyi’s heart skipped a beat, not understanding the sudden anger from Gong Chen.

At this mont, Shen Yan also saw Gong Chen, and imdiately cried out, “Third Young Master, save… save …”

Gong Chen glanced at Chen Jin.

Chen Jin imdiately jumped down and effortlessly pulled Shen Yan ashore.

Shen Yan lay by the shore, her clothes soaking wet, shivering in the wind.

She hugged her shoulders, slowly lifted her pale face, and looked at Gong Chen with a pitiful expression.

Her voice trembling, “Third Young Master… I… I’m so cold.”

Upon hearing this, Lin Zhiyi covered her mouth in surprise, “Shen Yan, weren’t you going upstairs to get my coat? How co you’re standing behind without a sound, and fell into the river?”

Shen Yan gritted her teeth, feeling a montary guilt.

But looking at the man in front of her, resembling a god with eyes as deep as cold winter stars, his face was exquisitely beautiful, exuding a noble air that seed unattainable.

Who could resist such a man?

Her eyes, filled with a hint of jealousy, turned to Lin Zhiyi in the man’s arms.

She couldn’t accept this!

Shen Yan made an attempt to get up, but halfway through, her body wobbled and she fell directly toward Gong Chen.

Gong Chen, with Lin Zhiyi in his arms, stepped back.

Shen Yan ended up sprawled at their feet, in a very sorry state.

Normally, even if soone fainted, they wouldn’t dare to cause more trouble.

But Shen Yan wasn’t like that; she shakily reached out and grabbed Gong Chen’s trouser leg.

The raised upper body gave a clear view of the scenery beneath her soaked clothing.

She didn’t cover up, looking up pitifully at Gong Chen, “Third Young Master, I was just halfway back when I got worried about Zhiyi’s safety, so I returned. I saw Zhiyi standing by the lake and worried that my voice would startle her, I approached quietly. Who knew that just as I tried to grab her, I lost my footing and fell into the lake.”

“Third Young Master, you must be upset with , it’s my fault, I nearly scared Zhiyi.”

With eyes brimming with tears, she gazed at Gong Chen coyly, completely ignoring Lin Zhiyi between them.

Lin Zhiyi struggled to break free from Gong Chen’s embrace, but he held her wrists from behind, even leisurely caressing them a few tis.

He looked down, not at Shen Yan’s alluring appearance, but at Lin Zhiyi, replying, “If it’s not good, what’s the use of telling ?”

Lin Zhiyi was montarily stunned.

Shen Yan also gasped, her delicate eyes incredulously fixed on Gong Chen.

After a few seconds, she reluctantly apologized to Lin Zhiyi with her head lowered, “Sorry, Zhiyi, I scared you.”

“It’s fine.”

Lin Zhiyi knew it wasn’t the ti to deal with Shen Yan; she needed to maintain the façade of friendship.

Especially since Shen Yan had also gone to Xue Man’s Studio, keeping an enemy under close watch was safer.

Out of the corner of her eye, Lin Zhiyi saw a figure rushing over from not too far away. A plan ford in her mind.

With effort, she pulled her hands from Gong Chen’s grasp.

Waving her hands through the air, she caught hold of Shen Yan’s hand, showing concern, “Shen Yan, your hand is so cold, the lake water is very cold this deep into autumn. Uncle, could you lend her your coat to wear? Don’t catch a cold.”

“Are you sure?” Gong Chen’s tone was slow, yet oppressive.

Lin Zhiyi bravely responded, “Yes.”

Without a word, Gong Chen took off his coat and draped it over Shen Yan.

Shen Yan, nearly laughing with excitent, struggled to compose herself before speaking in a soft, delicate voice, “Thank you, Third Young Master.”

No sooner had the words left her mouth than another voice interjected.

“Shen Yan, you should thank Third Young Master. His clothes are all custom-made by hand and not sothing ordinary people can usually touch.”

Song Wanqiu, donning an extrely exaggerated pair of sunglasses, approached, with most of her face covered by them.

It seed like the hot water from yesterday had done quite a number on her.

Even so, the intention to rip Shen Yan apart could still be felt through the lenses, especially when she saw Shen Yan’s revealing wet clothes.

This brazen Shen Yan seed to be getting bolder.

Intimidated by Song Wanqiu’s glare, Shen Yan flinched, but still pulled at the coat, as if to flaunt her victory.

Song Wanqiu ground her teeth in anger.

Maintaining a gentle façade, she sidled up to Gong Chen and stealthily looked at Lin Zhiyi, “Why is Zhiyi here, too? You should really rest.”

Which ant that she wanted her to leave imdiately.

Lin Zhiyi got the hint, “Miss Song is right. Please call a nurse to take back to rest; I won’t disturb you anymore.”

Shortly, a nurse arrived.

Lin Zhiyi quickly cleared the battlefield and followed the nurse.

Once out of their sight, she sent the nurse away and then stood behind a tree to secretly watch.

Expecting it to be very dramatic, she was surprised that Gong Chen actually left as well.

With no one else around, Song Wanqiu didn’t leave any face for Shen Yan and slapped her hard, using all her strength.

Lin Zhiyi subconsciously covered her own face; it must have hurt.

Just then, a cold voice ca from behind her.

“Enjoying the view?”
