Chu Yin looked at Chu Wu’s playful expression and suddenly felt a tightness in her chest.
Chu Wu said that soone would deliver her a fatal blow.
This ant that Chu Wu did not intend to take action herself.
Then what other ways were there?
Suddenly, dust began to rise around them, followed by a noise like a drilling machine.
Thud, thud, thud... the noise made people’s hearts uneasy.
Chu Yin’s heart tightened, and she suddenly thought of a possibility.
She widened her eyes and looked at Chu Wu.
"Is this a dangerous building?"
"It seems you’re not entirely stupid. This place is undergoing preliminary demolition for a project." Chu Wu waved away the dust in front of her.
"..."
Chu Yin’s eyes widened, and her body trembled along.
Chu Wu laughed and said, "Scared? Sis, you’re quite amusing like this. In the days to co, I’ll always rember what you look like now."
"Chu Wu, this doesn’t seem like a place you could get into. Who helped you? Bai Hui? Do you really think she’s that kind-hearted?" Chu Yin shouted.
"Stop trying to drive a wedge between us. I don’t care who Bai Hui is. As long as I kill you, that’s all that matters." Chu Wu looked at Chu Yin expressionlessly.
Chu Yin knew that persuasion would have no effect at all.
She tried a different approach.
"Fine, anyway, if I die, you’ll definitely die too!"
"What nonsense are you spouting?" Chu Wu retorted.
"Who is Bai Hui? She is the daughter raised by the old master of the Bai Family and quickly took control of the Zhang household. How could she leave you as a threat? Chu Wu, do you really think people can’t see through your intentions?"
Chu Yin moved her assisted limbs and leaned her head towards Chu Wu.
Chu Wu turned her face away: "You know nothing."
Chu Yin shouted, "Then let tell you your intentions. The reason you’re still here isn’t that you’re unafraid, but because you want to capture the scene of my death to threaten Bai Hui. How could you leave the country empty-handed? Settling abroad requires a lot of money, and Bai Hui has plenty of it."
"Once I’m dead, Mr. Sang and Zhiyi will definitely want to find my body. You can keep them on the line while threatening Bai Hui."
"Chu Wu, you may be clever, but do you think the Bai Family is too involved in cris that they couldn’t see through your intentions?"
"The fact that Bai Hui hasn’t urged you yet ans they’re eager for you and I to die here together. Even if you escape, traveling abroad, they only need to confiscate your passport and all your identity docunts to control you."
"You should know how miserable an undocunted person is overseas."
Chu Yin’s words stunned Chu Wu.
During this ti, Chu Yin also took the opportunity to move her position, just reaching a rusted iron rod behind her.
She vigorously rubbed the rope on her hands while continuing to persuade Chu Wu.
"If you really want money, the safest way is while I’m still alive."
"What do you an?" Chu Wu looked at Chu Yin puzzled.
"You can threaten Bai Hui. Either she gives you money now, and you kill imdiately, or you let go and tell Mr. Sang who wants to kill ."
Chu Yin not only did not persuade Chu Wu to release her but also helped Chu Wu seek money.
Chu Wu was half-skeptical: "Are you really that kind-hearted?"
Chu Yin sneered: "Of course not, but I know I can’t escape. I only ask that after I die, you tell Mr. Sang and Zhiyi where I am so they can help you deal with Bai Hui, and I can rest in peace."
Chu Wu chuckled lightly: "At least you know what’s sensible."
But in her heart, she thought she wouldn’t be so foolish as to tell Sang Li where Chu Yin’s body was.
She just wanted Chu Yin to be stuck in this dark, damp corner after death.
"Then let’s record a video first."
"Okay."
Chu Yin nodded in agreent, her hands still rubbing hard at the rope.
...
anwhile.
Sang Li brought Lin Zhiyi and Gong Chen to the police station to check road surveillance.
The police opened the computer and were montarily stunned.
"What’s going on? The surveillance is broken? But there’s no repair record for today."
Lin Zhiyi’s face turned pale.
No need to guess, soone must have tampered with it.
Lin Zhiyi exclaid anxiously, "Without surveillance, Chu Yin could be taken anywhere."
The police comforted, "Don’t worry, since they disguised as a delivery person, we can check the delivery cars on the nearby roads."
Sang Li and Gong Chen exchanged glances.
Gong Chen said coldly, "It might not be found."
As expected, no delivery cars were seen nearby.
This area has several filming locations. To maintain order, there aren’t many vehicles.
Delivery and courier cars are noticeably conspicuous.
Yet, they couldn’t find any delivery cars on the surveillance.
Sang Li pointed at the broken surveillance.
"They probably modified the vehicle at this ti and then left this road."
The police frowned, "This makes it difficult. If it’s a kidnapping, we can’t alert them prematurely. Think carefully about who would target Miss Chu."
Lin Zhiyi blurted out, "Chu Wu. Her own younger sister."
The police were shocked but imdiately investigated Chu Wu’s whereabouts.
"According to the investigation, Chu Wu has been staying at a hotel. Hotel surveillance shows she checked out early in the morning."
Lin Zhiyi said, "She wouldn’t give up so easily. It has to be her who captured Chu Yin."
The police discovered Chu Wu got into a ride-hailing car, which eventually stopped at a mall.
"There’s no record of Chu Wu making any purchases at the mall."
Sang Li imdiately instructed, "Compare the cars that left during this ti with the vehicles entering the vicinity of the filming set. See if any match."
The police quickly understood his aning.
After comparison, three identical cars appeared.
"One car belongs to a nearby resident, and the other two have entered the filming set. I’ve already sent people to investigate, but you’d better recall so information, which will help us conduct checks. The sooner the better, ensuring the hostage’s safety."
The two cars were fairly common white models, easy to modify.
Gong Chen stared at the two cars, "It’s possible both cars are eye shielding techniques employed by the opponent to delay. If it’s Chu Wu, her backer is Bai Hui."
Sang Li clenched his fist, his face cold and stern.
"Bai Hui won’t let find Chu Yin, and neither will Chu Wu."
Having often talked with Chu Yin about Chu Wu and the Chu Family, Lin Zhiyi had a better understanding of Chu Wu’s character than them.
As for Bai Hui.
From the two encounters, she found that Bai Hui’s sches were primarily aid at destroying Chu Yin while also targeting Sang Li’s heart.
Even if both survived in the end, it’s unlikely they could be together.
Because neither could get past the barrier in their hearts.
But Chu Wu must be the one most eager to kill Chu Yin.
The combination of the two offered few ways to kill Chu Yin and hurt Sang Li’s heart simultaneously.
Lin Zhiyi felt she was just one step away from realizing sothing.
"Zhiyi, what are you thinking about?" Gong Chen asked.
As the words fell, Sang Li was no longer his usual gentle calm. He grabbed the police officer.
"What do you an, you can’t find it!"
He was upset and confused.
Lin Zhiyi hurriedly stepped forward to pull him aside, sharing her thoughts with him.
"Mr. Sang, calm down."
The police also said, "We know you’re anxious, but indeed one of the two cars disappeared after entering the filming set."
Sang Li furrowed his brows, trying to catch onto Lin Zhiyi’s previous words amidst the chaos in his mind.
"Zhiyi, say it again."
