Chu Yin approached the vase and discovered a card hidden among the lilies.
She picked up the card and imdiately recognized the elegant handwriting as belonging to a woman.
For no apparent reason, the image of the housekeeper downstairs flashed in her mind.
Chu Yin handed the card over to Sang Li.
"Mr. Sang, welco ho."
Sang Li frowned, "I didn’t ask anyone to send flowers."
Chu Yin half-jokingly remarked, with a hint of sourness, "Maybe you’re just universally loved, even flowers bloom for you."
Sang Li glanced at the card, understanding Chu Yin’s point.
He smiled and looked at Zhou Zhao, "Just throw it away."
Zhou Zhao picked up the lilies and said, "Young master, these flowers are quite nice. Can I take them back?"
Sang Li looked at him and nodded, "Take them, don’t waste them. Neither Chu Yin nor I like them."
Chu Yin, who was about to push her suitcase into the room, found this puzzling.
She hadn’t said she disliked lilies.
By the ti she realized, Zhou Zhao had cheerfully left with the flowers.
Chu Yin wondered aloud, "Why is he so happy? Has he never seen flowers before?"
Sang Li contemplatively said, "He did it for you."
"Huh?" Chu Yin was confused.
Sang Li pointed to the room, "You’re staying in that room. I had it prepared in advance."
"Okay, I’ll go put my things away."
Chu Yin turned and went into the room.
Once inside, she realized she would be living next to Sang Li.
This large flat had a unique feature: a connecting balcony around the periter.
So people sectioned off their balconies into a sky garden or an open tea bar.
For Chu Yin, it had another use; standing on the balcony, she could see into Sang Li’s room.
Even when Sang Li was lying on his bed sleeping.
Standing on the balcony, Chu Yin raised her eyebrows, saying, "Nice view."
Downstairs.
Zhou Zhao swaggered out of the elevator with a bouquet of flowers.
The female housekeeper in the lobby glanced at him and unconsciously called out to Zhou Zhao, staring at the bouquet.
"Assistant Zhou, those flowers..."
"What’s wrong? You like them too? I can give you a flower; neither the young master nor Miss Chu like them, and I didn’t want to waste them, so I’m taking them back."
Zhou Zhao discreetly took a flower and gave it to the housekeeper.
Accidentally revealing the small card in the bouquet.
The housekeeper politely accepted the flower, staring at the card, "Assistant Zhou, did Mr. Sang see this card?"
"He did, he said it was thoughtful of the property managent, but he would prefer not to receive flowers in the future, as he doesn’t like them," Zhou Zhao said directly.
The housekeeper’s expression wavered, but she nodded nonetheless.
"Okay. Did Mr. Sang say anything else?"
"No," Zhou Zhao glanced at the na badge on her chest. "Housekeeper Xu, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be on my way."
"Alright, take care."
Xu Huihui smiled as she saw Zhou Zhao off.
Then she returned to the lobby and stared at the elevator doors for a long ti.
"Huihui, what are you looking at? Did your dream guy just co back?" a colleague teased.
"Be careful who hears you."
Xu Huihui tugged at her, her cheeks blushing.
"What’s there to be scared of? If you like him, you should seize the opportunity. Don’t you know the housekeeper at the next building married an owner and instantly went from employee to owner? It’s really enviable," the colleague said.
Hearing this, Xu Huihui imdiately refuted.
"Don’t talk nonsense, I’ve never had such thoughts."
She wasn’t interested in Sang Li because of his money.
At this point, a security guard walked over.
"Huihui, I saw Mr. Sang co back. Who was the woman with him? He seed to treat her especially well; he opened the car door for her and even carried her luggage."
"I don’t know, maybe a relative. Mr. Sang has always been discreet and wouldn’t bring just any woman ho," Xu Huihui replied.
The security guard and colleague nodded.
"True, Mr. Sang has been here for so long, and I’ve never seen him bring a woman ho. Unlike the boss on the thirteenth floor who changes won weekly; I can’t even rember their faces before a new one appears, making extra cautious during inspections," the security guard said.
Instinctively, Xu Huihui said, "Mr. Sang isn’t like that."
Her colleague teased, "Yes, yes, who could be better than Mr. Sang? But you should still seize the opportunity; we all have high hopes for you."
Xu Huihui’s face turned red.
"Let’s get back to work."
...
Lin Zhiyi wasn’t surprised at all to hear that Chu Yin had gone to Hai City with Sang Li.
She headed as usual to the studio.
As soon as she walked in, Chen Jin ca over.
"President Lin, soone’s here to see you."
Lin Zhiyi paused, still a bit unaccustod to Chen Jin calling her President Lin.
However, Chen Jin quickly got into the work mode, reporting to her while walking.
Lin Zhiyi listened while taking a mont to send a ssage to Gong Chen, who was taking their child to school.
"Assistant Chen, did you really negotiate his salary for ? Why do I feel like I’m underpaying him?"
"How about...I’ll be your assistant."
"No, no. I can’t afford it."
"As the biggest investor in the studio, I paid Chen Jin’s salary."
"So, both of us are working for you."
"Yes, but at night, I work for you too."
"..."
Lin Zhiyi quickly put down her phone, not wanting to continue the conversation with Gong Chen.
Entering the reception room, the person by the window slowly turned around.
Lin Zhiyi exclaid in surprise, "Qi Rong?"
Qi Rong nodded.
"They’ve been lingering around my house for a long ti. Chu Yin was right; I can’t accept spending the rest of my life like this."
Lin Zhiyi looked at Qi Rong with mild surprise.
Her willingness to save herself showed she had no desire to die.
She must’ve made many attempts to save herself before resorting to suicide years later.
Lin Zhiyi was about to nod when she stopped herself from reaching out.
No, she couldn’t intervene with others.
Now Qi Rong and she were just strangers; whatever happened shouldn’t be influenced by her.
Lin Zhiyi quickly said, "Miss Qi, you should look for Chu Yin. I can’t help you."
Qi Rong replied helplessly, "I wanted to find her, but I was afraid of running into Sister ng at the company, so I checked your studio’s address."
Lin Zhiyi thought for a mont, then turned to Chen Jin.
"Book a ticket to Hai City and let him know."
"Okay."
Chen Jin turned and left.
Lin Zhiyi said, "I’ll take you to Hai City. I think it would be better for you to talk to Chu Yin face to face."
Qi Rong stared at Lin Zhiyi with an indescribable feeling.
After a while, she finally spoke.
"Thank you."
"Sit down, we might not fly until the afternoon, so don’t worry about anyone looking for you," Lin Zhiyi comforted.
"Okay."
"I’ll get back to work then."
Lin Zhiyi turned and left.
Behind her, Qi Rong suddenly called out to her.
"Miss Lin, have we t before?"
Lin Zhiyi looked at her, "No."
Qi Rong apologized, "Sorry, due to dication, I often have all sorts of strange dreams. It might be from a dream with a similar scene."
"No worries, but I’m not part of your circle, so I probably can’t help you."
"I understand. Sorry for bothering you."
Qi Rong let down her guard and quietly sat and waited.
Lin Zhiyi continued working until noon, when Gong Chen, wearing sunglasses, walked into the office.
He approached Lin Zhiyi with so dissatisfaction, "Why are you going to Hai City?"
