Chapter 1016: Chapter 1016: Offending Neither Side

After Lin Zhiyi’s analysis.

Chu Yin understood.

“Are they trying to treat us like Japanese? Now I’m even more sure that the man in the private room couldn’t possibly be Third Young Master and Mr. Sang. Haley just wants to distract us and have her way.”

“How do you plan to reply to the ssage?”

Chu Yin looked at Lin Zhiyi.

This was indeed a problem. They didn’t know who to trust at the mont.

So, how to send this ssage was particularly important.

Lin Zhiyi thought for a while before deciding how to respond.

“She said she’s going out tomorrow.”

Chu Yin was puzzled, but she didn’t have ti to ask.

On the other end of the phone, Catherine eagerly sent a ssage.

“Are you okay?”

“For now. We want to go back.” Lin Zhiyi deliberately showed fear in her reply.

“Don’t worry, everything will be fine soon. Did she say how she would dress tomorrow? I could judge what she’s planning to do.” Catherine imdiately asked.

“I don’t know. I only heard her say she’s going out.”

After a while, Catherine sent another ssage.

“If she has any peculiarities, you must tell . It affects our plan.”

“I understand.”

Suddenly, there was no signal on the phone.

It seed that calling for help was impossible.

Chu Yin looked at the chat content.

“Zhiyi, you are…”

“Playing both sides. As long as we are useful, they won’t harm us.” Lin Zhiyi explained.

“Makes sense, but… this Sarah, I really can’t figure her out, especially this.”

Chu Yin said as she pointed at the jewelry box in front of Lin Zhiyi.

Lin Zhiyi found it strange too. She put down her phone and opened the jewelry box.

Inside lay a set of pearl and white diamond jewelry.

Chu Yin’s attention was also drawn to it.

“So beautiful. How do we modify it? What if it’s not done correctly?”

Lin Zhiyi carefully picked up the necklace and examined it.

She found an engraving on the back of the pendant.

Chu Yin was shocked: “Sarah Rein? This is Sarah Rein’s jewelry. That woman is also nad Sarah. Could she be related?”

Lin Zhiyi was unsure.

“Inheritance overseas can go to distant relatives, but Sarah Rein has a son. It shouldn’t go to soone else. Besides, this necklace is engraved, which is significant. It’s unlikely to be inherited by soone unfamiliar.”

Chu Yin rested her chin on her hand: “What does she look like? Why is she wearing a black veil? It’s creepy.”

Lin Zhiyi thought for a mont and said: “Big-boned model.”

Chu Yin laughed out loud.

“Not bad, making light of the situation like this.”

“Even so, there are still two n waiting for us to save them.” Lin Zhiyi winked.

Chu Yin laughed, feeling more relaxed.

“The Bai Family’s experience cos in handy.”

Lin Zhiyi stood up with the jewelry box.

“Stop wasting ti on things we don’t know. Let’s focus on what we have at hand. Perhaps we can gather so information.”

“Okay, I’ll help you, especially since that woman even prepared the tools for us.”

Saying this, Chu Yin pointed to the table in front.

Lin Zhiyi went to check.

Everything was ready.

If Sarah knew nothing about them, Lin Zhiyi wouldn’t believe it.

Then why was Sarah pretending to be deaf and dumb?

Lin Zhiyi took a deep breath and focused on the jewelry.

During this ti, Chu Yin got up and looked around, trying to find any clues.

Before long, she was at the door.

The room fell into silence, and any slight noise outside the door was clear to Chu Yin.

There ca the sound of urgent high heels, followed by a slap.

It was particularly loud.

Chu Yin even thought she heard an echo.

Then ca cursing voices.

“Do you know what you’re doing?”

Chu Yin was stunned, realizing it was Sarah’s voice.

Then there was another woman’s voice.

“I love him. I truly love him. He said he would break it off with those won. Help him one more ti.”

“You’re crazy!”

Chu Yin smirked, thinking how foreigners couldn’t curse with as much impact.

Crazy or a ‘bitch,’ they said.

But nothing beats the frightening nature of love-obsession.

Sarah continued: “He hits you! You’ve already lost five children for him. Do you not care about your life? Can’t one slap wake you up?”

“He… he drank too much. He’s now in an AA eting. He said he wants to change for .”

“Ha, change? Pigs can fly!” Sarah was so anxious she used an English idiom.

“Sarah, what are you saying? What do you an?”

“I won’t help you again, nor will I help him. Get out.” Sarah said unhappily.

“Sarah, I’m begging you.”

“I told you to leave, for the sake of our years of knowing each other.”

Then ca the woman’s entreaties and pleas.

Chu Yin quickly called for Lin Zhiyi.

“Zhiyi, co listen.”

Lin Zhiyi snapped back to reality and quietly walked to the door.

Just then, the other woman erupted in shouting.

“I was the only one who supported your pursuit of freedom. I stayed with you and even took a bullet for you. I’m just asking you to help one last ti. Do you have to drive everyone away from you?”

Instantly, silence fell all around.

It took a long ti before Sarah’s voice was heard again.

“Is that really how you feel?”

“I…”

“Fine, I’ll help him and you, for the last ti. Then never co to again, and don’t call to say he hit you again. Go.”

Sarah’s voice was neither happy nor sad, and it gradually faded away.

Then there were the light, quick footsteps of the woman’s high heels.

Until everything returned to peace.

Chu Yin repeated what she heard to Lin Zhiyi.

Lin Zhiyi sat at the table, daydreaming with the necklace parts in her hand.

Chu Yin continued: “Dostic violence, miscarriage. Sarah is advising her, yet she doesn’t appreciate it and even threatens Sarah. If I were Sarah, she wouldn’t survive or leave.”

Also, consider what kind of place this is.

At these words, Lin Zhiyi disassembled the necklace she just fixed.

Chu Yin watched, puzzled: “Wasn’t it almost done? Why disassemble it again?”

Lin Zhiyi explained: “A necklace is an accessory. It should match its owner.”

What kind of person is Sarah, amid a pile of parts in front of her?

Seemingly complex, but actually, there’s an order.

Sarah and Sarah Rein are not the sa person.

Chu Yin kind of understood but still sat down to help Lin Zhiyi reassemble the necklace.

Because it’s an antique, each step had to be done carefully.

Not until dawn did they finish and collapsed on the bed, falling asleep.

At this ti, the old woman knocked and entered, bringing breakfast.

She looked at the jewelry on the table in surprise.

“It seems Miss’s decision to let you modify the necklace was right. Have so breakfast first.”

“Okay.”

Lin Zhiyi patted Chu Yin beside her.

Both rubbed their eyes and got up.

Chu Yin asked curiously: “I think I heard so noise last night.”

The old woman glanced at her: “Don’t ask what you shouldn’t know.”

Lin Zhiyi glanced at Chu Yin and changed the subject: “May I ask, what kind of clothes does Sarah wear? The jewelry can match better, and maybe I could offer so advice.”

The old woman didn’t speak, leaving after setting down breakfast.

Half an hour later, she returned.

“Miss wants to see you.”
