Chapter 52: Chapter 52: Holding in My Arms Chapter 52: Chapter 52: Holding in My Arms Zhan Lan originally wanted to tell Chu Yin the truth, that it could be washed off with soap water.

But Chu Yin didn’t give her the chance, pricking Zhan Lan’s arm right at the thumb.

Her fingers gently twisted, and a drop of blood flowed down along the crevices of her fingers.

Afterward, she pricked Zhan Lan’s arm with another needle.

Rubbing her brow, if it weren’t for the fact that Chu Yin was her good friend, she really wouldn’t want to be needled by her like this.

“Don’t doubt , okay? It really works!” Chu Yin declared confidently.

Zhan Lan gestured for Liu Xi to serve Chu Yin so tea, and as Chu Yin sipped, she said, “Just wait a bit, and you’ll see the amazingness of my grandfather’s ancestral acupuncture technique!”

“Yeah right, I believe you. Just leave quickly later, and don’t tell anyone you were here!” Zhan Lan instructed.

Chu Yin cracked sunflower seeds nonchalantly, “You still don’t believe !”

After she had devoured half a plate of sunflower seeds on the table.

Zhan Lan was amazed to find the red rash on her arms and body had all disappeared.

“Chu Yin, you really are a Divine Doctor!”

Chu Yin proudly arched an eyebrow at Zhan Lan, “I told you, miss’s silver needles are unrivaled under the heavens!”

Listening to her boast, Zhan Lan smirked with a corner of her lips upturned, finding today’s Chu Yin, dressed in a light pink outfit, quite charming.

It added a feminine touch to her appearance.

Suddenly, Zhan Lan had an idea and grabbed Chu Yin’s hand, “Chu Yin, could you do a favor? It’s urgent, and only you can help!”

Chu Yin patted her chest boldly, saying, “Why so formal between us? Just say it, and I’ll agree!”

Zhan Lan smiled and said, “Could you, perhaps, treat my brother’s illness?”

Chu Yin’s eyes widened suddenly, she let go of Zhan Lan’s hand and said, “I’ve gone deaf, I can’t hear anything!”

As if she would give acupuncture to Zhan Hui—a pipe dream!

Zhan Lan cocked her head to look at Chu Yin, mischievously saying: “Don’t you dislike my brother the most? This way, you can prick him with more needles to vent your frustration, how about that?”

“That’s right!” Chu Yin excitedly picked up her needle bag, eager to try, “You’re right, I’m going to find Zhan Hui right now!”

Liu Xi led Chu Yin to give Zhan Hui acupuncture treatnt, while Zhan Lan propped her chin at the window, feeling very pleased with herself.

Although Chu Yin’s acupuncture skills were remarkable, both he and Zhan Hui were pretending to be sick, and the rash would still flare up tomorrow.

It was just that today she created an opportunity for the two to be alone; it was up to them whether they had fate together!

With a smile, Chu Yin’s dimples rippled on her cheeks.

To avoid spreading the illness to others, Zhan Hui had sent all the maids and boys in the mansion to other courtyards.

His residence was left for himself alone, quiet and peaceful.

Soon, Liu Xi led Chu Yin, unobstructed, into Zhan Hui’s courtyard.

Chu Yin couldn’t help herself and wanted to mock Zhan Hui, signaling Liu Xi not to announce her arrival, she burst through General Zhan’s door.

“Zhan Hui, so you also have days like this!” Chu Yin walked in with a full smile, but it froze on her face.

As soon as she entered, she saw Zhan Hui bare-chested, changing his clothes.

“Ah!” Chu Yin cried out, covering her own eyes.

Zhan Hui also quickly put on his clothes, reprimanding, “Chu Yin, what are you doing here!”

Chu Yin’s cheeks flushed red, lowering her hands, she awkwardly gazed at the rash on Zhan Hui’s body, trying to laugh it off composedly.

“Dear Little General Zhan, that’s quite pitiable!” Chu Yin grinned, her eyes curving into crescents.

Seeing the look on the young girl’s face, Zhan Hui coldly said, “If you’re here to mock , you needn’t bother!”

Chu Yin beca serious, taking out her needle bag and waving it, “If it weren’t for Zhan Lan asking , I wouldn’t want to give you acupuncture at all!”

Zhan Hui was surprised, what was Zhan Lan doing?

Wasn’t it agreed to continue pretending his illness was incurable?

Why let Chu Yin co to treat his wounds!

Liu Xi shook her head outside the door, listening to the two bickering.

It seed that these two had always been this way, starting an argunt every ti they t.

Chu Yin abruptly grabbed Zhan Hui’s hand, leaving him no room to refuse.

It was Zhan Hui’s first ti being held by a woman, Chu Yin’s hand was soft, as tender as cotton.

In Zhan Hui’s mont of hesitation, Chu Yin took an unsterilized silver needle and harshly stabbed it into Zhan Hui’s fingertip.

Zhan Hui furrowed his brows—how could he not think of Chu Yin as a little devil?

He even saw Chu Yin’s lips curling up, her cheeks flushed with too much excitent, seemingly in great pleasure.

The next mont, Zhan Hui’s sleeve was pulled up by Chu Yin, who then used a gauze to wipe away the droplet of blood from Zhan Hui’s fingertip.

Another drop of blood followed.

It couldn’t be wiped away, not at all.

Chu Yin was a bit frightened now, what was happening?

Could it be that she used too much force and hit a blood vessel?

She stared blankly at Zhan Hui’s arm, the muscular lineants exquisite, and montarily lost herself in reverie.

Zhan Hui pressed on his thumb, finally stopping the bleeding.

When Chu Yin saw the scar on Zhan Hui’s arm, it must have been from fighting on the frontier, right?

She suddenly felt that her teasing of Zhan Hui was a bit too much, so she gently inserted the needles, fearing she might hurt him again.

When she first ca in, she vaguely saw a scar on Zhan Hui’s chest.

His robust figure didn’t look ugly with it, but the scars were too shocking for her.

She had always seen Zhan Hui as soone unreasonable, only caring about protecting Zhan Xuerou.

Because Zhan Lan was her good friend, she disliked Zhan Hui.

But, she forgot that Zhan Hui was Little General Zhan.

He fought and bled in battle to protect the citizens of Nanjin.

These were all aspects of Zhan Hui she had never seen, another side of him.

Zhan Hui saw her removing the needles, but her gaze still lingered on the scar on his arm, his eyes instantly growing cold.

“Does it look very ugly?” Zhan Hui asked carelessly.

Chu Yin lifted her head, eting Zhan Hui’s gaze, and suddenly realized that the man in front of her, with sharp features and handso face, was truly a man of honor.

With a flicker in her eyes, she said: “I don’t think so, the scars on your body are your honor!”

Zhan Hui was taken aback, he had thought that these were just Chu Yin’s usual sarcastic remarks.

But now, there was no such hateful expression on the young girl’s face.

Being stared at so intently by Zhan Hui, Chu Yin felt embarrassed. She rose to her feet, sorted out the needle bag, and said, “Well, you should be better after half an hour!”

Zhan Hui didn’t believe that Chu Yin could really heal him, and he nodded noncommittally.

“I’m leaving!” Chu Yin really felt that the atmosphere in the room was too awkward for them both.

Zhan Hui didn’t try to keep her, and just as Chu Yin took a step, the ground suddenly started shaking violently.

Chu Yin’s body uncontrollably fell backwards, and Zhan Hui, with quick reflexes, caught her from behind.

“Ah, the earth dragon is turning over!” Chu Yin was in complete panic, as she was naturally very timid.

Zhan Hui held shivering Chu Yin in his arms, his firm voice resounding in her ear, “Don’t be afraid, I am here!”

Chu Yin’s head was protected by Zhan Hui’s arms, and together they moved outside.

Inside Zhan Hui’s embrace, Chu Yin’s heart thudded unceasingly, even forgetting to breathe.
