Reborn on Wedding Night: Flirting the Cold Bigshot into Blushes Chapter 432: He Yields, He Compromises
The next day, at dawn.
The rain that had fallen all night had finally stopped.
Nancy Allen was awakened by the commotion beside her.
Julius Shaw sat on the edge of the bed, his eyes full of terror.
He looked at Nancy with fear, as she lay flat on the bed, still wearing yesterday’s dress, only now the dress was stained with blood, her face, neck, and feet all covered in it.
Julius Shaw’s eyes, which were fairly clear at this mont, were filled with panic: "Did I... did I hurt you?"
Nancy knew that Julius Shaw was much more clear-headed now and said calmly, "None of this is my blood."
Julius Shaw visibly breathed a sigh of relief.
As if, as long as Nancy wasn’t hurt, it didn’t matter who else was, including himself.
At the mont he awoke, he was truly terrified.
Seeing Nancy lying motionless and covered in blood on the bed, he vaguely rembered arguing with her yesterday, fearing that he had done sothing he shouldn’t have.
The suffocating feeling at that mont was like dying.
In a daze, Julius Shaw felt that everything he had been forcing seed aningless.
Nancy was the one who helped him, the one who had stood in the light and saved him, and she shouldn’t have to endure his obsessive tornt.
He should give her what she wants...
His brother was still there, hadn’t completely disappeared. He heard the voice in his heart yesterday, but because he was there, his brother couldn’t appear, only barely making a sound when he was insane, unless... unless he voluntarily relented.
Nancy didn’t know what Julius Shaw was thinking and pretended to be gentle: "This blood is yours; you are covered in wounds. Godfery Shaw, if you get hurt, I’ll be sad."
Nancy was still pretending; from the mont she woke up, she had been pretending.
She continued to call him Godfery Shaw, as if nothing had happened in the studio yesterday.
Julius Shaw looked at Nancy, his eyes deeply complex, as if he wanted to see through her entirely.
After a long ti, Julius Shaw lowered his eyes and spoke in a hoarse voice: "Nancy, can we stop this? I know you’ve recovered, and you know I am Julius Shaw."
Nancy’s eyes flickered, and she smiled at Julius Shaw, feigning ignorance: "Godfery Shaw, what are you talking about? I don’t understand."
Julius Shaw was pierced by Nancy’s calm words, and his heart shattered into pieces as he pleaded wearily, "I’ll relent, I’ll compromise, Nancy, I know you want my brother back, I can promise you."
Nancy trembled all over, but she didn’t believe Julius Shaw’s words and remained silent.
Julius Shaw seed to have made up his mind about sothing important, looking into Nancy’s eyes, he spoke word by word: "Really, Nancy, I’ll give you what you want; if you promise one thing, I’ll let my brother co back."
Nancy lifted her head to look at Julius Shaw, finally uttering a suppressed sentence: "If you can bring him back, I’ll agree to whatever you want."
Although he had long known Nancy’s attitude, actually hearing her words left Julius Shaw feeling intensely painful.
Julius Shaw squatted on the ground, pitiful like an abandoned wolf cub in a crowd.
He helplessly said, "I want to learn how to live. My life is filled with only anger, and all colors are just black. I don’t want to die like this; I want to try being an ordinary person, understand the emotions ordinary people have, know how to love soone. Nancy, teach . I can let my brother co back... But I don’t want to have co to this world for nothing."
It was like a person sentencing himself to death, begging for a chance to live once like a normal person before the final deadline.
Nancy’s feigned calm exterior was shattered; she thought Julius Shaw might have demanded to possess her, but she didn’t expect him to only plead for this.
Fearing Nancy wouldn’t agree, Julius Shaw continued, "It doesn’t have to be long, three months, Nancy, I just want three months."
Nancy’s heart was once again pierced sharply; she sat up from the bed and reached out to Julius Shaw, "Alright, I promise you."
Julius Shaw looked at his goddess and used his dirty hands to grasp the hand reaching toward him.
Nancy softly said, "Then let’s clean up first, take care of these wounds."
Obediently, Julius Shaw nodded, turned to go to the bathroom to clean himself, but rembered Nancy was also covered in blood and stopped to look at her.
As if knowing what Julius Shaw was thinking, Nancy spoke first before he could ask: "You go wash up; I’ll go to my room to clean myself. I’ll have Luna Sumr help , and we’ll et in the downstairs hall after we’re done."
Julius Shaw didn’t want to agree.
Nancy said, "Didn’t you say you want to learn how to live? Then do as I say."
Only then did Julius Shaw obediently go to the bathroom.
Nancy watched the bathroom door close and couldn’t control her sadness.
No matter what kind of person he was, Julius Shaw’s feelings for her were true.
Yet, she had to personally extinguish Julius Shaw’s existence.
Nancy limped off the bed and opened the door to see several people standing guard outside.
Emma Lewis, upon seeing Nancy, hurriedly stepped forward to support her and anxiously asked, "Nancy, what’s wrong? Where did he hurt you?"
Nancy shook her head, whispering, "I’m fine, I sprained my foot myself; Julius Shaw didn’t harm at all."
Emma Lewis breathed a long sigh of relief and nervously asked, "And... and what about him?"
"Julius Shaw is fine, too. He’ll co out after he showers, and I need to clean up and change clothes, too."
"I’ll help you; it’s inconvenient with your sprained foot," Emma Lewis quickly said.
With Emma Lewis’ help, Nancy didn’t call on Luna Sumr.
Before leaving, Nancy turned back to Basil Smith and said, "Please prepare the first-aid kit, including suturing tools."
Basil Smith’s heart sank a little: "I understand."
In the course of their conversation, neither of them noticed that Nancy referred to him as Julius Shaw rather than Godfery Shaw.
Emma Lewis supported Nancy to wash up, and couldn’t help but whisper, "Nancy, what happened yesterday, really? That man is just too dangerous."
Nancy gave a wry smile: "No matter how dangerous he is, he hasn’t hard ."
Emma Lewis sighed, "Oh dear, what are we going to do about his strange temperant? How can he beco good-natured?"
Nancy murmured, "Soon."
"What did you say?"
"Nothing, just help find so change of clothes. I’ll stay in as my foot is sprained; pajamas will do."
Emma Lewis went to fetch pajamas for Nancy.
In the bathroom, the shower water poured down from above; Nancy closed her eyes, as if trying to wash away the sadness she couldn’t ignore.
Why is her life always struggling in pain?
Three months.
By then, Godfery Shaw would co back, but what about Julius Shaw?
Nancy tried to convince herself that Julius Shaw was just an obsessive personality within Godfery Shaw’s body, best treated as if it never existed.
Yet, how could she forget the mories of Julius Shaw, how could she ever forget...
Nancy didn’t let her thoughts dwell, quickly finishing her shower and exiting the bathroom, afraid that Julius Shaw might wait too long and be in a bad state.
She wore cream-colored plush pajamas and with Emma Lewis’ help, went downstairs, finding Julius Shaw obediently sitting on the sofa, his hands resting on his knees, sitting upright like a schoolchild.
Seeing Nancy co downstairs, Julius Shaw’s hands on his knees clenched into fists slightly, as if a bit nervous.
Naturally, Nancy sat beside Julius Shaw and said to him, "Alright, stretch out your hand; the cuts on your wrist are deep, let Basil Smith stitch them first."
Julius Shaw didn’t move, just looked at Nancy.
Nancy repeated, "Julius Shaw, behave."
Julius Shaw was stunned.
The next mont, his eyes reddened.
Nancy called him Julius Shaw, not brother, but Julius Shaw.
