Emma felt a sense of emotional resonance as she quietly replied to Robert Reed, "I’ve ntioned before, this neurotic personality is also trying hard to change for Nancy. You should go back. No need to guard here. Sophie misses you."

Robert shook his head while taking a bite of the dumpling and said, "I need to observe a few more days. So people might just be putting on a facade. Look at those psychopaths in the movies; you can’t tell from the outside either."

"Then observe as you see fit, but rember, you shouldn’t intentionally provoke Julius Shaw. It’s been peaceful for just a few days."

"Hmph, do I need you to tell this!"

After finishing breakfast, Robert took Nancy to the studio, saying they shouldn’t waste all those years learning art. They should paint a few more pieces to bring back to Sophie.

Nancy obediently nodded in agreent and called out towards the kitchen, "Joyce, can you prepare a lunch box for Godfery Shaw? I’ll take it to him."

Joyce replied with a delighted expression, "Alright."

Robert pulled Nancy along and said softly, "My dear student, really, why can’t you put yourself first? Why be so nice to that bastard? Is he unable to eat when he’s outside?"

Nancy replied in a low voice, "I just want him to co back sooner."

Robert grumbled, "If you want him back that much, then don’t let him go to the company. Anyway, that kid has issues now; he can’t be of much help there. Basil Smith can handle it alone."

Nancy seed distracted; she really just wanted Godfery Shaw to co back quickly.

She used to do this as well — bringing als to Godfery Shaw and eating together, then napping in his rest area and spending half a day as a couch potato in the conservatory.

She’s been doing all these familiar things for Julius Shaw, only hoping for Godfery Shaw’s quick return.

Nancy didn’t want to continue this topic and changed it, "Teacher, what should we paint today?"

Robert got distracted by her change of topic and smiled, "Paint a portrait of Sophie. I’ll take it back after a few days and give her a surprise."

Nancy agreed imdiately, feeling guilty towards Sophie, always wanting to do sothing for her.

But with Robert and Emma by Sophie’s side, there wasn’t much she could do, and instead, she nearly dragged Sophie into danger because of Julius Shaw.

The painting process was lengthy, and by the ti a lively little figure appeared on the paper, it was close to noon.

Robert was very satisfied with what he saw.

The current Nancy is truly a flesh-and-blood person.

Just from this painting, one can tell she carried a heart full of gentleness and love while creating it.

Robert looked at the painting with satisfaction and waved his hand, "Let’s go. Look at you; you’re eager to deliver lunch to that bastard."

Nancy saw Robert’s graying temples and suddenly said earnestly, "Teacher, thank you."

Robert raised his hand and gently tapped Nancy’s forehead, "What’s this ’thank you’ with family? Let tell you, as soon as that bastard bullies you next ti, call imdiately. No matter what the problem is, I can solve it. I’ve eaten more salt than that kid’s eaten rice."

Nancy’s eyes reddened slightly, "Alright."

At noon, Nancy lifted the lunch box and headed to the company to find Godfery Shaw.

When the receptionist in the Cloudglow Tower lobby saw Nancy, her gaze was sowhat peculiar.

A few days ago, Young Master Shaw was spotted holding Nancy in the hospital; their intimate deanor was exposed publicly, leading to nurous tidbits online.

Now she’s here at the company to see the eldest master.

It’s really hard to tell whose wife she truly is.

This Mrs. Shaw certainly has so capability.

Only the honest security guard, Thomas Carter, who didn’t pay attention to gossip, greeted Nancy warmly and ran over, "Madam, you’re here again. Let press the elevator for you."

Nancy saw Thomas talking to a girl with a fever patch on her forehead and whispered, "Is that your friend? Is she sick?"

Thomas replied earnestly, "She’s my sister; this old problem makes her a bit feverish. There’s no one at ho to care for her, so I brought her over because I’m worried."

"If she’s sick, she shouldn’t be here at the company, she should..."

Before Nancy finished speaking, Thomas patted his chest to assure, "Rest easy, madam. My sister is very well-behaved and stays quiet in the utility room; she only cos out to eat lunch during the break hour. She won’t disturb anyone."

Nancy paused and said, "I an, she should be taken to the hospital if she’s sick."

Thomas showed a difficult expression, "It’s okay, it’s an old problem. Madam, the elevator is open."

Nancy glanced at the pale-faced girl and then entered the elevator.

Being soone who is often ill herself, she could tell at a glance that the girl was sowhat similar to her, probably also frail and frequently unwell.

She thought that if needed, she might offer so help later.

Nancy went upstairs.

The receptionist snorted coldly, looking at Thomas with disdain; she couldn’t curry favor with the upper managent despite her diligent work, yet this single-minded Thomas managed to do so.

Seeing Nancy going upstairs, the receptionist said disdainfully, "Always currying favor, sitting in the rest area with a patient isn’t honest; it’s affecting the company’s image! Better quickly have your sister move away."

Seeing his brother getting scolded, Ruby Carter urgently stood up, "Cough, cough, I’ll leave then, stop scolding my brother."

The receptionist said in disdain, "Stay away from . Constantly coughing, who knows if you have sothing contagious."

Thomas, being simple and honest, wasn’t good at arguing and certainly didn’t dare argue, fearing losing his job, only emphasizing, "It’s not contagious."

"Who’d believe you? Looking at her, if sothing happens accidentally at the company, you’d be extorting people."

Thomas felt pity for his sister and glared at the receptionist.

The receptionist sneered, "Why are you glaring at ? Oh, that look, you want to hit soone, huh? Go ahead, do it. If you dare to hit soone in the company lobby, forget about keeping your job, a good security guard should stick to guarding the door like a dog rather than currying favor with the big shots."

Ruby pulled Thomas and whispered, "Brother, it’s okay, I’ll eat lunch in the utility room. I can stay inside."

The receptionist arrogantly said, "You hear that? Trash should stay in the utility room."

Thomas’s face reddened with anger. He really wanted to punch this nonsense-talking woman, but he clenched his fists, unable to act because he needed the job.

Ruby guided her brother back to the utility room, thoughtfully saying, "Don’t be upset, Brother; the utility room here is quite spacious. It’s alright for ."

Thomas looked downcast, apologetically saying, "Ruby, it’s my incompetence, can’t protect you. Don’t worry, when I save enough money and cure your illness, then you can go anywhere."

Ruby obediently replied.

...

Top floor.

Nancy took the lunch box upstairs.

The assistant and secretary on this floor didn’t block Nancy at all.

Nancy walked to the office door and heard Basil Smith’s voice from inside.

"Young Master, you’re not familiar with computers. From now on, I’ll print the docunts and take them over. As you’re initially engaging with these, start by understanding the industries involved. I’ll collate a detailed list for you to review in the afternoon."

Nancy knocked and entered.

Seeing Nancy, Julius Shaw’s expression fell instantly.

He couldn’t do anything—couldn’t open the computer, couldn’t receive docunts, and didn’t even know what the company did.

And she walked in right at this mont; Nancy would surely think he was useless.

Nancy walked in with the lunch box, and said warmly, "It’s already noon, let’s eat first. You can learn whatever after lunch."
