Nancy originally planned to take Godfery Shaw ho once she’d handled her family affairs and her eyesight had improved a bit.

She was thinking about how to convince Godfery Shaw to visit her parents, since, for him, the concept of family probably was no more than an adjective.

As it turned out, when her parents invited them to dinner, Godfery Shaw didn’t seem to have any reluctance at all.

Soon, soone knocked on the door; it was Godfery Shaw’s people delivering a variety of gifts arranged by him.

Even with blurred vision, Nancy could see a large pile of them on the coffee table. With so much stuff, a few more visits might not be necessary...

Leaning close to Godfery Shaw’s ear, Nancy whispered, "It’s just a al at ho; there’s no need to bring so much."

"It’s my first visit, and I’m not sure what your family likes, so I prepared a variety of things. It’s not too much."

In Godfery Shaw’s mind, it indeed wasn’t much, as these were Nancy’s parents, the ones who had once saved her from the clutches of death. He felt he could afford to be more patient.

"But what if my parents don’t accept them?" Nancy was a bit worried.

Since waking from her coma, she had seen people bring gifts to the Allen family, but her parents hadn’t accepted a single one.

If they refused, would Godfery Shaw be disappointed?

"It’s okay, let’s go."

Though most people thought of Godfery Shaw as cold and ruthless, unlike ordinary people, even he seed slightly nervous about eting his girlfriend’s parents.

Godfery Shaw specially hired a bodyguard to follow them and carry the goods, not because he couldn’t handle them himself, but because Nancy couldn’t see, so he had to keep one hand free to hold her.

Each ti Nancy spoke, she’d lean closer to Godfery Shaw’s ear, and from the side, it looked like they were touching.

The two of them were used to speaking this way, whispering intimately, and didn’t think much of it.

But the bodyguard carrying the items behind was utterly shocked by the sight.

The bodyguards here in the Capital City were not those close confidants from the Imperial Garden.

When Young Master Shaw had been making a fuss over the long-lost daughter of the Allen family, it had caused an uproar, even resolving issues with the Shaw family.

But except for a few directly involved, others thought it was probably exaggerated rumors. After all, anyone who had seen Young Master Shaw would not think he was a man who could be swayed by a woman.

But now, the bodyguard had seen it.

Looking quietly at the person beside Young Master Shaw, the bodyguard could understand. Such a beautiful person, it was reasonable for Young Master Shaw to like her.

The bodyguard couldn’t help but think, fortunately, nothing excessive was done to the Allen family here in the Capital City.

Godfery Shaw and Nancy set off for the Allen Villa, sitting in the back seat, with the bodyguard driving and the trunk packed full.

Nancy felt herself infected by Godfery Shaw’s nervousness, she was getting a bit anxious herself, after all, it was the first ti bringing a partner ho to et the parents.

What if her family didn’t like Godfery Shaw?

What if Godfery Shaw couldn’t charm them and didn’t get their approval?

Nancy was lost in thought.

Until they arrived at the Allen Villa.

Nancy used facial recognition to lead them inside.

Even if her vision was unclear, he was startled by the crowd of figures inside.

"Is this young Shaw?"

"I’ve seen him from afar before, indeed quite handso."

"Young Shaw, don’t just stand there; co and sit."

Clara Goodman stepped forward to hold Nancy’s hand, explaining with a bit of embarrassnt, "Nancy, hearing you were bringing soone ho, all your uncles and aunts ca over."

Clara glanced at Edward Allen while speaking.

The initial plan was just a simple family al, now it seed like a court trial with relatives everywhere.

Edward pretended not to see his wife’s stare; since it was the boy’s first visit, of course, they had to give him a hard ti by calling in all the relatives to see how he fared.

Nancy was still sowhat dazed.

Godfery Shaw had already taken the gift from the bodyguard and offered it, saying, "Mother-in-law, this is my first visit, not knowing what you might like, I prepared so things on my own. I hope you don’t mind."

Godfery Shaw called her "mother-in-law" earnestly, with a very humble attitude.

Hearing this, Clara Goodman’s attitude softened a bit more. Since he was already handing over gifts, she couldn’t refuse without releasing Nancy’s hand, which allowed Godfery Shaw to subtly take Nancy’s hand again.

Back in Godfery Shaw’s grip, Nancy couldn’t help but smile and gently squeezed his palm.

Clara Goodman glanced quickly at the gifts, noting custom skincare products and scarce clothing items—whether she liked them or not, she could tell they were thoughtfully prepared. Clara felt Godfery Shaw’s sincere affection for Nancy.

Smiling, Clara said, "No need for gifts among our own, young Shaw, bring Nancy over to sit quickly."

Clara instinctively followed suit in calling him young Shaw...

After that, she couldn’t help glance at Godfery Shaw, noticing how attentively he guided Nancy to the sofa, seemingly unfazed by the nickna.

The spacious villa hall was crowded, surrounded by people, with Godfery Shaw and Nancy at the center.

After placing the gifts, Clara Goodwin introduced, "Young Shaw, this is Nancy’s eldest uncle, and her second uncle, there’s the youngest uncle, third uncle, and aunt, and..."

As Clara introduced each relative, Godfery Shaw greeted them in turn.

"Hello, eldest uncle, I heard you’re vying for that plot in the West Suburb, I’ll have soone help you with it later."

"Younger uncle, about your daughter wanting to get into the city’s best school, I’ll arrange for a few recomndation letters from so elders."

"I hear third aunt likes collecting things, I have so items I’ll bring over to check their authenticity."

Nancy was dumbfounded.

The Allen family relatives were each rendered speechless.

Is this still the usually reticent Godfery Shaw? More like a diplomatic wiz!

In their first brief eting, the Allen family relatives were subtly impressed by his words.

All his statents hit ho for them.

Even those who initially wanted to make things difficult found they had no opportunity as they exchanged glances.

Clara Goodman beca increasingly satisfied with Godfery Shaw.

She had expected an aloof figure who might need ti to fit in, but he turned out to be approachable, nowhere near as daunting as imagined.

Charles Allen was also observing.

He didn’t care for Godfery Shaw’s social skills so much as how well he treated Nancy.

During the lively conversation, Charles Allen noticed Godfery Shaw pour water for Nancy, peel walnuts, and serve her waterlon. It wasn’t a show, just how the two were naturally, even catching the seeds Nancy spat out with a tissue.

These were details not only noticed by Charles Allen; everyone observed and felt how well Godfery Shaw cared for Nancy.

Nancy couldn’t speak for herself, so like a squirrel, she quietly ate near Godfery Shaw, listening to him skillfully handle her relatives.

Mid-conversation, Nancy suddenly leaned close to Godfery Shaw’s neck, whispering by his ear, "I think my brother’s about to explode. You should say sothing to him too!"

Whispering quietly from such close proximity.

To others, it looked like Nancy suddenly leaned in to kiss Godfery Shaw.

The room fell silent.

Well, there goes any further test—looks like he’s already the soon-to-be son-in-law!
