Reborn on Wedding Night: Flirting the Cold Bigshot into Blushes Chapter 191: Thank You and Goodbye
Edward Allen could be serious with others, but he couldn’t bring himself to be stern with Alia Wright.
His sister, the sister who had suffered so much outside.
Edward Allen had no choice but to step aside, allowing Godfery Shaw to enter the room, yet his gaze towards Godfery Shaw remained dissatisfied.
Godfery Shaw was in a good mood today, so he didn’t mind and went straight into Alia Wright’s room.
As soon as he entered, his gaze landed on a delicate box on the small table.
Is that the gift ant for him?
Just as Alia Wright, wiping her head, walked over, having just taken a shower, wearing a nightdress with her hair still dripping wet, she said to Godfery Shaw: "Sit down, why did you co so early?"
We agreed you would co over tonight.
But it had just turned dark, and Godfery Shaw appeared already.
Godfery Shaw didn’t ntion he couldn’t wait, he rely said calmly, "I’m available now."
Alia Wright sat across from Godfery Shaw, with drops of water occasionally dripping from her long hair onto her nightdress. She was entirely unaware of the kind of allure this created.
Her inner purity, accompanied by an effortless allure that captivated others.
Godfery Shaw’s body acted faster than his mind, without thinking whether it was appropriate, he stood up, grabbed a towel, and gently placed it on Alia Wright’s hair.
Under the soft white towel, Alia Wright’s eyes seed washed, gazing with a wet look towards Godfery Shaw.
Godfery Shaw only felt that the person beneath the towel seed softer than the towel itself, causing his uncontrollable heart to beat faster.
But as always, he restrained himself, maintaining expressions that didn’t reflect his heartbeat.
Godfery Shaw said calmly, "First, dry your hair."
After saying this, Godfery Shaw showed no intention of moving aside, naturally continuing to dry Alia Wright’s hair with the towel.
Alia Wright was sowhat dumbstruck.
The friction between the towel and her hair tousled her long hair, two strands sticking up. She practically didn’t understand what Godfery Shaw was doing.
Are they suitable for such intimate actions now?
When Alia Wright ca to her senses, trying to push Godfery Shaw away, he had already taken the towel off.
As if nothing had happened just monts ago, he returned to his seat.
As if the previous scene wasn’t worth any fuss, it was just soone’s compulsion that couldn’t stand seeing her hair dripping.
Though Alia Wright felt puzzled, seeing Godfery Shaw’s calm deanor, she had no choice but to act normally and calm down as well.
Aside from the two stubborn strands of hair on her head sticking up, everything else appeared normal.
Alia Wright pushed the small box on the table towards Godfery Shaw.
Godfery Shaw knowingly asked, "What is this?"
Alia Wright replied politely, "It’s a small gift for you, for your previous care."
Explicitly hearing it was from Alia Wright, Godfery Shaw’s heart trembled.
He opened the small box, revealing a black hand rope, with a thin red line wrapped around the edges, very simple. If looked closely, one could see an inconspicuous pattern on the inside of the hand rope, reading, "Safe and well."
Godfery Shaw felt imnse joy, so much he couldn’t control his facial expressions; this hand rope was more exquisite than ones by Julius Shaw.
Alia Wright asked, "Do you like it?"
Casually, Godfery Shaw put the small box into his outer coat pocket, remaining with his cold and indifferent deanor, "It’s nice, thank you."
Seeing him accept it, Alia Wright smiled, she said with a smile, "Godfery Shaw, I should be the one saying, thank you."
Thank you for protecting for five years in a past life, thank you for letting know what it feels like to care for soone, thank you for accepting this final gift.
Initially excited about receiving the gift, Godfery Shaw’s excitent paused inexplicably, as if hearing Alia Wright saying, "Godfery Shaw, goodbye."
This feeling made him sowhat uneasy.
By the ti Godfery Shaw reacted, he had already grasped Alia Wright’s hand, his voice deep, "Alia Wright, do you want to leave?"
Alia Wright struggled but couldn’t free her hand from Godfery Shaw’s grip: "I don’t want to leave now."
Godfery Shaw still felt uneasy, reiterating, "You promised to wait... wait for Julius Shaw."
Alia Wright replied gently, "Yes, I promised."
Alia Wright’s response didn’t alleviate Godfery Shaw’s uneasiness, instead, it intensified his anxiety, "He will recover very soon, I assure you."
Alia Wright still nodded gently, "Okay, Godfery Shaw, you should go back. Also, don’t co to the old town again at night."
The joy from receiving the gift now turned into agitation for Godfery Shaw.
Indeed, he shouldn’t co to the old town; after all, no matter how cautious, there’s a chance of being discovered.
A few nights ago, when hearing Alia Wright’s emotions were off, he broke the usual detachnt.
At this mont, Alia Wright clearly indicated to return to the distance they once maintained in their relationship.
Alia Wright’s calmness stung Godfery Shaw.
With Godfery Shaw holding Alia Wright’s wrist, they were very close, Alia Wright could distinctly sll the serene scent on Godfery Shaw.
If possible, she truly wanted to learn what love is.
But as soone without a future, she shouldn’t provoke soone who treats her well.
Alia Wright whispered, "Godfery Shaw, let go."
Just then, the door slamd open.
Edward Allen barged in, glaring furiously at Godfery Shaw: "What are you doing, let go of her!"
The two were extrely close, it looked as if Godfery Shaw were holding Alia Wright in his embrace, and the pale and delicate Alia Wright couldn’t break free.
Seeing Godfery Shaw not releasing his hold made Edward Allen furious; he raised his fist ready to strike.
But Godfery Shaw completely ignored Edward Allen, and seeing another man barging in, he instinctively took off his jacket and wrapped Alia Wright, who was only wearing a nightdress.
Alia Wright quickly shouted to Edward Allen: "Mr. Allen, stop."
The fist Edward Allen swung ultimately did not fall, withdrawn in anger.
After wrapping Alia up, Godfery Shaw looked sternly at Edward Allen: "Who let you in, who allowed you to barge into her room?"
Edward Allen was shocked: "How dare you bla others first, let go of her imdiately."
"Her business and mine are not for you to interfere."
"How can I not interfere, I’m her brother!"
Edward Allen blurted out in anger.
The room suddenly fell silent.
Edward Allen belatedly realized he had misspoken.
If his sister didn’t want to acknowledge the family, if she got angry and left again, what if they couldn’t find her?
Panic set in Edward Allen, he quickly tried to explain: "Emily calls her aunt, so she’s my sister, matters concerning my sister, I have to take care of."
The shock in Alia Wright’s eyes subsided; she thought her brother had learned the truth, turns out it was because of Emily.
Alia Wright got out from Godfery Shaw’s embrace, saying calmly, "Godfery Shaw, you should go back."
Edward Allen looked proudly at Godfery Shaw.
Godfery Shaw rely looked at Alia Wright.
Alia Wright smiled at him, "Godfery Shaw, goodbye."
Once again, Godfery Shaw felt an indescribable anxiety.
