Caelen walked alone through the quiet forest. Leaves rustled under his boots. Sunlight ca through the trees, and birds sang in the distance. He needed so air, away from the noise of the village.
It had been two months. Two months since he was thrown into this strange world. Two months of working, fighting, helping others, and sohow still standing.
He sat on a large rock and looked up at the sky.
"...Still alive," he said to himself. "Huh."
Out of nowhere, the wind stopped. A warm light glowed in front of him.
Caelen blinked as the light turned into a person. Robes, sandals, ssy hair, and that sa smug smile—it was Jeff. The god who brought him here.
"Yo," Jeff said, floating like always.
"You again," Caelen muttered.
"Yep. I'm surprised you're still kicking." Jeff crossed his arms. "Most don't last this long. But you? You're full of surprises."
"I didn't really have a choice," Caelen said. "It was either build or die."
Jeff laughed. "And you chose to build. Not bad."
Caelen stood up. "What do you want?"
"I ca to give you sothing. But first—new challenge."
Caelen raised an eyebrow. "What kind of challenge?"
Jeff grinned. "Grow your village to one thousand people."
Caelen's face went blank. "...You what?"
"You heard . You have three months," Jeff said. "Hit one thousand."
Caelen looked down. "I only have a little over a hundred people..."
Jeff floated in a slow circle. "I know. But you're not just surviving anymore. You're growing. Creating. Changing things."
Caelen rubbed his neck. "That's still a huge number."
Jeff smiled. "I believe in you. And I like watching you scramble."
Caelen sighed. "Of course you do."
Jeff raised a glowing hand. "Anyway, since you've made it two full months, I'm giving you a reward now. Sothing big."
Light wrapped around Caelen's chest. It didn't hurt—it felt warm, like sunlight in the morning.

[System ssage: New Skill Unlocked – Power Branches]
Caelen looked down. "What did you just give ?"
"First, Artifact Making lets you craft legendary gear," Jeff said. "Weapons, armor, tools—stuff that matters."
"Okay," Caelen nodded. "And the other one?"
"Power Branches is more... special," Jeff said, voice softer. "It lets you start a bloodline."
Caelen blinked. "A... bloodline?"
"Not like family. This is magic in your na," Jeff explained. "A power that runs through everyone in your village. Makes them better. Grows with them."
Caelen didn't know what to say at first.
"You've made a ho out of nothing, Caelen," Jeff said. "Now make a future."
The system pinged again.
[Please na your Bloodline Skill]
Jeff raised an eyebrow. "Well? What will you call it?"
Caelen closed his eyes. He thought of Zira, Garin, Tikka, the dwarves, the elves, the kids. All the people he helped. All the people who stayed.
"...Call it Caelen Bloodline."

A soft glow ran through Caelen's body. It felt calm. Like the start of sothing big.
Jeff gave a slow nod. "Good na. Strong."
"What now?" Caelen asked.
Jeff floated higher. "Now you work. You've got three months to reach one thousand. If you do, I'll co back with a gift even bigger than this."
"And if I don't?"
"You'll still have your village," Jeff said with a shrug. "But you'll miss out on sothing amazing."
Caelen looked at the trees around him. The breeze had returned.
He gave a small smile. "Alright. I'll try."
Jeff laughed. "That's the spirit."
And just like that, Jeff vanished in a blink of light.
Caelen stood alone again. The forest was quiet.
He looked at his hands, then back at the path to the village.
"...A thousand people," he whispered. "Let's do it."
Then he walked back.
This ti, not just as a leader...
...but as the start of sothing greater.
