Chapter 299: Chapter 299: You’ll Face the Consequences_1

Our son is overly protective of his food.

It was obvious since he was little.

“Hanhan, you eat yours. I’ll take care of Little Huzi for you.” Yun Hao looked at Little Huzi sternly: kiddo, your mom is the only girl in our family. If you dare to bother your mom, you’ll get your just desserts.

But Little Huzi, gnawing on a chicken leg, wasn’t aware of the chill emanating from Yun Hao’s silent stare!

“Sure.” ng Yunhan nodded softly.

Seeing father and son getting along so well softened her heart.

...

When he got a bit older, they would be even more endearing.

After dinner, Yun Hao separated from Little Huzi.

“Dad, you should sleep with Little Huzi tonight.” Yun Hao suggested subtly, keeping a straight face.

Old Zhao agreed with a nod, “Alright, I’ll sleep with Little Huzi.”

A thought suddenly crossed Yun Hao’s mind- had Little Huzi been weaned? If not, what if he woke up in the middle of the night hungry?

Wouldn’t that disturb his wife?

As if knowing what Yun Hao was about to bring up, Old Zhao said, “Presently, Little Huzi mostly eats wheat, milk, and malt at night. But he just had dinner with us and usually sleeps straight through the night.”

Little Huzi occasionally eats wheat, milk, and malt, but most of the ti he eats regular food.

Firstly, Old Zhao’s frugal nature made him prefer cost-saving options. The mix of wheat, malt, and milk was expensive. The second reason was they cost industrial vouchers. While Old Zhao used to have a stock of such vouchers, he was afraid that he might have exhausted them after moving to Kyoto.

He found it more nutritious to make his grandson a stewed egg.

Those two hens kept laying eggs. Every morning, he cooked an egg for his grandson, who would finish it and eat a small bowl of porridge as well.

Old Zhao took Little Huzi to his room. When he had free ti, Old Zhao enjoyed reading newspapers or other things. This wasn’t a problem. He would read newspapers to his grandson, and when they were with ng Yunhan, she would occasionally sing songs to Little Huzi or speak simple English to develop his language skills.

ng Yunhan cleared up the dishes and went back to her room. Dad and Little Huzi were nowhere in sight.

“Ahao, do you want to wash?” She volunteered to heat so hot water.

Yun Hao suddenly felt awkward, cleared his throat lightly, “Yes, let’s wash together.” He placed great emphasis on the final three words.

ng Yunhan’s cheeks turned a rapid shade of crimson.

“I’m going to heat the water for you.” Barely finishing her sentence she hastened away.

Yun Hao chuckled lightly and took out his change of clothes from his bag.

“Honey, do you miss ?” Having showered, Yun Hao saw ng Yunhan lying in bed, reading. He walked towards her, took the book away, climbed into bed, and drew her tightly into his embrace.

ng Yunhan looked up at Yun Hao: the Yun Hao she used to know was cold, passionate only about certain things.

“I miss you. I miss you terribly.” ng Yunhan embraced Yun Hao tightly back. How could she not miss him? They had been apart for nearly three months. Of course, she missed him.

Now they were finally together in Kyoto. They could see each other anyti without having to wait so long. On weekends, she would bring Little Huzi to visit him, and he could also manage to visit them here.

“Xiaon gave birth to fraternal twins- a girl and a boy. They’re really lucky.” Unfortunately, Zhang Jiang’s parents hadn’t visited their grandchildren even once.

This left her feeling quite cold.

But the ruckus in the Zhang family will definitely continue when they grow old and can’t work anymore.

“They indeed are lucky.” Why couldn’t Little Huzi been a girl? If only he had been a girl. Is it too late to switch now?
