Chapter 1028: Chapter 1029 Chapter 1028: Chapter 1029 Yun Hao told them there was no need to see them off and departed with Little Huzi.

“Mom, when will Little Huzi co next?” Little Shitou felt so reluctance to part with Little Huzi. Over these days, they had developed a strong bond of brotherhood.

Niuniu tugged at Yun n’s sleeve and asked, “Mom, can’t we just not let Brother Huzi go?”

Yun n patted her daughter’s head, watching their figures move farther and farther away.

Little Zhuzi also felt so reluctance, his eyes brimming with tears.

“Let’s go make dinner!” Yun n, not wanting them to see her cry, took her daughter towards the kitchen to start cooking.

Although Little Huzi was sad to leave Little Zhuzi and the others, he was comforted by his dad’s promise. They could co to Kyoto next sumr to spend it with him, so he didn’t feel as sad anymore.

“I really miss Mom.”

Yun Hao glanced at the very tanned Little Huzi, “Did you cause any trouble staying with your aunt?”

Little Huzi tensed up imdiately.

His mom and dad had previously co to the village, seemingly due to an issue with his second uncle.

“Dad, I’m sorry,” Little Huzi hurriedly bowed his head to admit his mistake.

Yun Hao gave him a look, “Out with it, what did you do? Tell everything, and don’t leave anything out.”

Little Huzi looked troubled; he had done many things over the past month. Thinking about how long he might have to squat in the horse stance, his little face fell.

“Speak up…” the voice was filled with authority.

Little Huzi shuddered, “I went with Brother Zhuzi to catch fish in the river, picked wild fruits in the mountains, and got into fights.”

Yun Hao’s expression didn’t change.

“How deep was the river?”

Little Huzi glanced at Yun Hao, and upon eting his gaze, got startled, “Sowhat deep.”

“Afraid of dying?”

Little Huzi was rarely confronted with the concept of death.

“Scared…”

Yun Hao continued to question, “Then why did you go into the river to catch fish? Do you think just because you can swim, nothing bad will happen? Did you consider the consequences? What would your mother go through if sothing happened to you?”

Upon hearing this, Little Huzi’s eyes welled up with tears, “Dad, I know I was wrong, I won’t dare to do it again.”

Yun Hao kept a stern face, “What have I always told you? A true man bleeds but doesn’t shed tears. What are you crying for? Hold it in.”

After being scolded, Little Huzi forcefully held back his tears, not letting them fall.

“Did you encounter any snakes in the mountains?”

Little Huzi cautiously glanced at Yun Hao, “Yes, lots of them.”

At this ti, few people went around catching snakes, and you’d often see banded kraits outside in the deep mountains.

“Brother Zhuzi even caught a few to eat; they were really tasty.” The last few words slipped out involuntarily as he rembered the taste.

Having said that, he suddenly looked up at Yun Hao.

Yun Hao thought back to his own childhood when he seldom ate at, and those tis he went into the mountains to catch snakes or fish in the rivers to bring ho extra food, or climbing trees to take bird eggs; he had done it all.

Seeing his son hanging his head, he knew why he had behaved that way.

“What about fighting?”

Little Huzi recalled the fight, “They tried to snatch our food, and of course, I couldn’t let them take it. So the three of us fought their five.”

Yun Hao said leisurely, “Did you win?”

Little Huzi proudly said, “Of course, I’ve learned military boxing, and if I couldn’t even beat them, there would be no point in mixing with them.”

“You can go ‘mix’ now. I think you don’t need to co back with us.”

Yun Hao strode off, not even glancing back at Little Huzi trailing behind.

His wife and father-in-law always had a soft spot for Little Huzi, ready to fulfill his requests.
