When Xinyan first t He Jinxuan, she didn’t think he was particularly fond of children. His kindness to Sili and Siyan was purely out of responsibility.

But ever since they got married, she found that He Jinxuan was becoming more and more patient with kids. When they used to live in the family housing area, he sotis watched the children playing under the big tree while working in the yard.

After Mom gave birth to Junjun, ever since he could be carried outside, every ti he ca over, he’d hug him for a long ti. It was clear that it wasn’t to please anyone, but because he genuinely liked children.

Thinking about his colleagues and friends, all of them have kids running around, and he’s the kind of person who goes with the flow, so he can’t be completely indifferent.

Back at the transport company family housing, people weren’t afraid to make snide remarks.

They’d say that He Jinxuan being good to her was just because of her college degree and family background. At the ti, she couldn’t be bothered to explain.

Little did they know that when they first t, she was a second marriage orphan with nowhere to turn.

Having known him for so long, he’s not the type to sweet-talk, but he has her in his heart, their little ho, the words she’s said, the things she wants to do, and that’s enough.

Only the foot knows if the shoe fits, and regardless of what others think, she feels comfortable being married to He Jinxuan, and that’s enough.

As for the He Family, He Jinxuan isn’t blindly filial, so things that happened before aren’t an issue for her.

Since he likes children, and they’ll have them sooner or later, she might as well grant his wish: "Why are you staring at like that?"

He Jinxuan reached out and held Xinyan’s hand: "Yanyan, did you an what you just said?"

Xinyan felt like teasing him: "No, I didn’t."

He Jinxuan saw sothing different in Xinyan’s eyes: "Yanyan, you’re truly wonderful."

Xinyan laughed: "Is that all it takes to make you happy?"

He Jinxuan stood up and moved to sit beside Xinyan: "I want to have a child connected to both of us by blood; whether boy or girl, they’ll be our treasure. I’ll work hard to give you both a good life."

What he didn’t dare ntion was that every ti he picked her up from school and saw those energetic students, he felt a bit insecure, worrying that one day his little girl might be drawn to soone else’s excellence.

Xinyan, in fact, understood his thoughts and felt sympathy for him, leading her to this realization.

At that mont, they heard Mr. Gu’s voice coming from outside: "Yanyan, at the end of last year, you sent so much beef and lamb. When you leave, take so with you for your master and mistress."

Xinyan quickly pulled her hand away from He Jinxuan’s and said to Mr. Gu, who had walked in: "Grandpa, I already sent so to my master and mistress at the end of last year. Aunt Li cooked the rest for you all."

At the end of last year, he had Ling Tianze slaughter cattle, sheep, pigs, and so chickens and ducks at Chongyang Mountain Villa, sending so to both the master and grandpa to save them the trouble of buying.

The rest was distributed to the lower staff, as a year-end bonus for everyone.

Though she hadn’t been there personally, she figured everyone was pretty happy, as the benefits were slightly better than those of formal employees.

Mr. Gu, upon hearing Xinyan’s words, said: "Alright, then we’ll enjoy it. You shouldn’t return to the small courtyard these days; stay here instead, since school hasn’t started yet. Next ti, don’t let them send so much."

Xinyan had only arranged for things to be sent but hadn’t asked how much: "Alright, that way we don’t have to cook, and it’s perfect since Jinxuan will be busy in the coming days and won’t have ti to cook for ."

Mr. Gu, despite the affectionate look on his face, criticized: "I see Jinxuan has spoiled you rotten; you should learn to fend for yourself."

Xinyan looked at He Jinxuan, playfully: "See, Grandpa is standing up for you."

He Jinxuan drank the last sip of porridge from his bowl: "I’ll believe it when you stop smiling like that."

All three laughed together.

Xinyan got up: "Alright, you clean up the dishes, I’ll get ready."

Mr. Gu thought his granddaughter was going to tidy up herself, but He Jinxuan knew Xinyan intended to go to the space to get the gifts for her master and mistress.
