Chapter 89: Chapter 89 Jia Qing

"It was my miscalculation, and I didn’t call the police in advance." Si Chen admitted his mistake without shifting bla, but he was puzzled by the origin of Tong Yao’s information.

Given the clues she provided, unless it was from an insider, it wasn’t possible to have such clear information. Si Xiaohui had left, and Tong Yao had never left his sight, so it couldn’t be possible that she overheard it.

So, how did she know the trafficker’s whereabouts?

Suddenly, Si Chen found Tong Yao full of doubts.

Dodging his probing gaze, Tong Yao turned her head away, comforting him. "You can’t bla yourself for this. Maybe it’s Xiaohui’s destiny. Let’s go back to the city and wait for news!"

There were people hiding outside the village. If they spooked the enemy, she and Si Chen wouldn’t be able to escape.

This matter was too big. The town’s police station couldn’t handle it, it had already been handed over to the city police. All they had to do was wait for news in the city.

"When you’re ready to talk, you can say it," Si Chen said. He stretched his long legs and rode on the bicycle, waiting for Tong Yao to get on the backseat. Then he pedaled away.

To outsiders, Si Chen’s words seem irrelevant. Tong Yao, however, knew what he ant, sighing inwardly. She was glad that Si Chen didn’t have the habit of prying.

As the two passed by a restaurant, two young n ca out. One of them, a man in an army green shirt, nudged the other man, pointing at Tong Yao’s back. "Jia Qing, isn’t the woman riding at the back Tong Yao? No wonder we haven’t seen you together recently. It seems she hooked up with another man."

As soon as Jia Qing heard this, he imdiately looked in Tong Yao’s direction. Though her bicycle had already gotten far, he still recognized her figure. You wouldn’t forget Tong Yao’s slender figure so easily.

A while ago, they planned to elope, but Tong Yao got caught by her mother-in-law as she was leaving the village. Jia Qing was so scared that Si Family would co after him. He hid at a relative’s place for a few days to blow off the steam. Surprisingly, Si Family didn’t dare to ss with him. Later, he heard that Tong Yao had moved to the city, and they lost contact ever since.

Seeing Tong Yao again made Jia Qing’s heart itch much like a kitten scratching it, "The man riding her must be her husband."

At the words, the man in green snorted, his tone playful. "Such a beautiful wife is his bad luck for eight generations. But to be honest, he must be a fool to leave such a beautiful wife idle at ho."

He has seen Tong Yao once, and he even dreamt of her at night."

Rembering this, he taunted again, "If Tong Yao were left idle at ho any longer, their ancestors’ graves would be covered in grass."

Jia Qing gave a mischievous smile, licking his lip, "Whether their ancestors’ graves grow grass or not, I don’t know, but surely grass would grow on their fences."

When he and Tong Yao walked on the street, the rate of second glances was unimaginably high. Everyone looked at Tong Yao as if they had seen cash, their eyes glowing. Honestly, if he had such a wife, he would be worried about every step she took.

There’s a golden phoenix in the ravine. You can imagine how many people are coveting her.

Upon hearing this, the man in the green shirt nudged Jia Qing with his elbow, laughing lewdly. "You’ve been with her for such a long ti, and you almost eloped. Did anything happen between you two?"

Looking into the man’s gossiping eyes, Jia Qing held his chin up, grinning, "Do you think I’m as silly as her husband? Not eating the at that’s delivered to your mouth, isn’t that foolish?"

"The husband hadn’t even entered her bridal chamber when he left...." Jia Qing, chin in hand and with a nostalgic face, added, "Her skin was smooth like noodles, and white like flour. Although she seems skinny, she’s well-endowed where it counts..."

With a side glance at the man in green, seeing how he was almost drooling with envy, he patted his shoulder in mockery. "Poor lad, I’m afraid you won’t be able to taste such sweetness in your lifeti. I think I miss her. I have to take a trip to the city and et my little lover."

The green-shirted man gulped, "Bro, from now on you’re my Brother Jia. How do you win won over? Teach

a bit."

Jia Qing looked down at the man’s waist and scornfully mocked him saying, "Look at you. You’re hopeless. You need backbone."

After that, he took big strides forward. The man in green followed him, continuing to call him "Bro
