In the bathroom.
Tong Yao is fuming, sitting outside the bathroom, listening to Mosquito No. 6’s report.

Mosquito No. 6 witnessed Qian Niannian throwing away Tong Yao’s clothes but could do nothing. It wanted to report to Tong Yao, but the bathroom was too humid, and the sound of the water drowned out its voice, so it couldn’t get the ssage across.

Tong Yao’s face turned red with anger. She had just finished taking a shower and when she ca out to get dressed, she found her clothes missing. She had no choice but to wash and put on the dirty clothes she had taken off, unfortunately, they were a dress that clung tightly to her body when wet, revealing every curve of her body, even showing a bit of skin underneath. By the standards of the 21st century, just stepping out in such an attire would have her criticised, let alone in this era.
She was already the subject of much controversy in the residential compound, if she were to step out looking like this and be seen by others, who knew what sort of rumors would circulate about her.
Tong Yao didn’t really care what others thought of her, but she was afraid it could affect Si Chen.
Helplessly, she could only sit here, dry, and wait for Si Chen to notice that she hadn’t returned and co to check on her.
"Yaoyao." Si Chen’s voice rang from outside suddenly.
"I’m inside." Tong Yao was overjoyed and quickly responded, assuming that it would take Si Chen quite a while to notice that sothing was amiss and co looking for her. She didn’t expect him to co so soon, "I forgot to get a change of clothes, can you get
a clean set?"
Forgot her clothes?
Si Chen raised his eyebrows, a shadow of doubt flickered in his eyes, he had seen Tong Yao carrying her clothes to the bathroom.
He put aside his doubts and said softly, "Wait inside for a while."
"Alright."
Tong Yao agreed, feeling relieved. Wearing soaked clothes was extrely uncomfortable, if it weren’t for Si Chen bringing her so clothes later, she would have wanted to take them off already.

Tong Yao quickly walked to the door, poked her head out and took the clothes, "Go upstairs first! I will co up once I’m dressed."
After speaking, Tong Yao quickly retracted her head to change her clothes. The damp clothes clinging to her body made her feel uncomfortable. She didn’t want to wear them for another mont, she just wanted to change quickly, so she could get her revenge on Qian Niannian, to let her know she couldn’t bully her easily.
Si Chen remained silent, turning around. However, the corner of his eye caught sight of the clothes in the trash can. His brows furrowed, understanding dawned upon him, and his face turned a few shades darker.
Many people in the residential compound didn’t like Tong Yao, Si Chen understood, but he didn’t expect anyone to resort to such petty tricks behind the scenes.
"Why haven’t you gone upstairs yet?" Tong Yao rushed out of the bathroom, puzzled to still see Si Chen standing at the door.
"Who threw it away?" Si Chen’s eyes fell on the clothes in the trash can.
"Qian Niannian." Without needing to look, Tong Yao knew what Si Chen was asking. She pulled the clothes from the basin and handed them to Si Chen, "Take these clothes upstairs and dry them for . Leave the rest to . It’s a matter between won, let us won handle it ourselves. Don’t interfere. For soone like Qian Niannian, I alone can handle two of her."
Having said that, Tong Yao filled a large basin with water from the faucet with a high spirit, ready to walk upstairs. The basin of water weighed about twenty to thirty pounds, which greatly reduced Tong Yao’s vigor. Just as she was considering taking a break, a pair of large hands from behind took over her basin.

at this hour?" Qian Niannian’s eyes flickered uneasily, and she started to stamr, "Th-they must have knocked on the wrong door. Just ignore it."
"Open the door." After waiting for a while and seeing nobody open the door, Tong Yao knocked again.

Recognizing Tong Yao’s voice, Guo Nan insisted on opening the door. Seeing that she couldn’t stop Guo Nan, Qian Niannian simply lay down on the bed, pulled the quilt over herself, and pretended to be asleep.

Glancing at her wet bed, and the perpetrator still standing there with a basin, Qian Niannian felt like she was going crazy with anger.
"Tong Yao, have you gone mad, what are you doing throwing water over
late at night?"
"Don’t you know why I’m throwing water over you?"
"What should I know?" Qian Niannian, with her neck craned in defiance, retorted, "I was asleep, and you ran in like a madwoman and dumped a bucket of water on . Are you sick in the head?"
Qian Niannian had always known that Tong Yao wasn’t soone easy to ss with, but she had never expected that Tong Yao would actually brazenly barge in and throw water all over her and her bed.
