Qu Xiaoran had not expected Jin Yu to suddenly pull her, nearly causing Ji Ruhua to fall to the ground.

Fortunately, Jin Yu’s conscience had not been completely extinguished. Just as Ji Ruhua and Qu Xiaoran were about to hit the ground, he instinctively kicked a table from the cafeteria over to block them and then left the cafeteria without looking back, striding away with long steps.

Ji Ruhua got hit in the waist, the pain changing her complexion.

Qu Xiaoran also hadn’t anticipated Jin Yu would make such a move.

Seeing Ji Ruhua’s face change color, Xiaoran quickly helped her up again, "Ruhua, how are you, are you all right?"

Qu Xiaoran felt a bit guilty, thinking Jin Yu’s attitude was due to dissatisfaction with her, which ended up affecting Ji Ruhua.

Ji Ruhua rubbed her waist, anxiously looking toward the direction Jin Yu had left in, only managing to catch a glimpse of his stern back.

The next second, he vanished around the corner.

Ji Ruhua instinctively took a step forward, not hearing Qu Xiaoran’s question.

Gazing dazedly at that spot, clutching her lips in pain, she finally saw him.

How wonderful, he was alive, vividly alive, no longer a cold corpse.

"Ruhua, don’t take it to heart, alright, he’s not that rude. It’s because I like him, and I was rude to his wife, so he..."

Qu Xiaoran apologetically explained, unable to help speaking well of Jin Yu, given that he was the man she had set her sights on—even if she had let him go, she couldn’t bear others misunderstanding him.

"It’s fine, I know he’s not that kind of person."

Ji Ruhua cut off Qu Xiaoran’s explanation, her eyes no longer holding back tears, instead revealing a faint smile.

What kind of person he was, she knew very well.

Qu Xiaoran found Ji Ruhua sowhat strange, different from before, but she didn’t think too much of it since they hadn’t seen each other in more than half a year.

"Wife... ti to get up."

Jin Yu returned to the dormitory and saw the two little ones had already woken up, lying on the bed counting their fingers.

He picked up one child with each hand and got them both dressed.

Then he put the two kids on the floor. "Crawl on the floor."

Da Bao and Xiao Bao exchanged a speechless glance, this man was probably asking for a scolding.

Xu Niannian was still sleeping. Jin Yu crawled to the side of the bed and, seeing her sleeping peacefully, couldn’t resist kissing her.

Xu Niannian slled a familiar fragrance and suddenly opened her eyes.

Their eyes t, Jin Yu’s deep gaze filled with amusent, "Wife, you’re awake."

Xu Niannian widened her eyes as Jin Yu was about to sit up, but she suddenly reached out and pulled him back.

"You’re back."

With her tug, Jin Yu leaned down willingly, a mischievous smile on his lips, "Wife, no rush, let’s have breakfast first."

"Why do you sll like another woman?" Xu Niannian frowned, a bad premonition surfacing.

That scent, she had slled it on Ji Ruhua.

"A woman’s fragrance?" Jin Yu frowned, raising his hand to sniff below his nose, "Where? I don’t sll anything."

Jin Yu thought Xu Niannian was getting paranoid and started to kiss her again.

"Don’t you trust yet?"

While the couple was snuggling on the bed, the two children on the floor had their bottoms frozen.

The two little ones looked at each other helplessly. Xiao Bao turned his face away, too embarrassed to look.

Da Bao covered his eyes with his hands, but left a small gap between his fingers, revealing a pair of round, wide eyes that held an indefinable slyness.

Turning her head, Xu Niannian caught her son’s cute antics and couldn’t help but push Jin Yu away.

"The kids are here, what are you doing?"

Jin Yu pulled Xu Niannian up skillfully, "Don’t fantasize all day."

Xu Niannian was not fantasizing. She had slled Ji Ruhua’s fragrance on him. As a chef, she was extrely sensitive to slls, regardless of what they were.

"Who did you et today?" Xu Niannian asked.

Jin Yu thought carefully and rembered eting Qu Xiaoran and another peculiar woman at the cafeteria door.

Knowing Xu Niannian was sensitive to slls, Jin Yu didn’t dare to lie and told her everything from beginning to end.

"You’re telling you t a woman who inexplicably started crying over you?"

Xu Niannian’s voice grew heavy, it seed like it was definitely Ji Ruhua.

Jin Yu narrowed his eyes, noticing Xu Niannian’s complexion was off and thought about the reason she ca to find him.

Suddenly, he asked, "Is she the woman who was gossiping at your place before?"

Jin Yu knew Xu Niannian quite well; there weren’t many people who could make her change her expression.

But thinking that this matter concerned him made Jin Yu sowhat proud, and he kissed Xu Niannian fervently once again.

Xu Niannian, with her eyes closed, dodged, "Stop it."

"Comrade Xu Niannian, ti for breakfast!"

Jin Yu didn’t continue ssing around, took the clothes for her, then saw the two kids on the floor, and stood in front of Xu Niannian, looking down at the two children defiantly.

Mainly staring at Da Bao, because Xiao Bao smartly turned away.

Under Jin Yu’s stare, Da Bao’s spread fingers slowly ca together, covering his eyes and hanging his little head sulkily.

Hmph, stingy.

Xu Niannian got dressed, got out of bed, picked up the two children, took a bite herself, then fed the kids with another.

The two kids in her ho were now omnivorous, able to eat anything.

Jin Yu served them, pouring tea and water while the three sat.

While eating, Xu Niannian pondered how to dispel Ji Ruhua’s thoughts.

Towards any woman coveting her man, no matter who, Xu Niannian could never take a liking to her; her mind was already arranging thirty-six stratagems of palace intrigue.

If soone else fancied Jin Yu, Xu Niannian might not care. After all, she couldn’t stop others from liking him, and it was enough for her to know she was the one in Jin Yu’s heart.

But if it was Ji Ruhua, Xu Niannian couldn’t help but mind.
