143: Chapter 142: Sothing’s Wrong, It Hurts Even More (2 Updates) 143: Chapter 142: Sothing’s Wrong, It Hurts Even More (2 Updates) Xu Niannian blinked her eyes, her beautiful almond-shaped eyes slowly widening in disbelief, suspecting she had heard wrong, because Jin Yu’s voice was so soft that she wasn’t sure if she had heard correctly.

She chanically repeated, “Your…

chamber pot?”

With her eyes widened foolishly staring at Jin Yu, he puffed up like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, his voice rising to emphasize, “From when I was a child.”

Xu Niannian: “…”

So, it really was a chamber pot, whether from his childhood or not didn’t matter, it was his after all.

And she had just washed her hands in it.

The thought that it was Jin Yu’s childhood chamber pot left Xu Niannian at a loss for words.

At this mont, Jin Yu’s face had turned the color of a monkey’s butt.

Xu Niannian was initially disgusted, but seeing Jin Yu’s alternatively red and pale handso face, she suddenly rembered that she had used the water from this pot to wipe his face just monts ago.

He was probably too shocked at first to react, so she managed to wipe it directly onto him.

Feeling balanced in her heart, Xu Niannian let out a “pfft” and couldn’t help but laugh, bending over, “Sorry, sorry.”

Jin Yu, with a flushed face, carried the pot away with a huff, his retreating back resembling soone fleeing in defeat.

Xu Niannian was overjoyed to see Jin Yu’s frustrated side, so much so that she even rolled around on the bed.

The bed Jin Yu had made with cotton felt very soft and comfortable.

Xu Niannian then rembered why she had suddenly jumped on Jin Yu.

It was all because of his nonsensical talk about it belonging to a previous owner; he could have just said it was his family’s.

It made her overthink things.

But she also blad herself, as Jin Yu had already told her when showing her the house that it was left to him by his grandfather.

Thinking of Jin Yu’s bloodied nose and the corner of his mouth, Xu Niannian felt sowhat guilty.

However, before she could fully indulge in self-reproach, Jin Yu pushed the door open and entered again.

Hearing the “creak” of the door, Xu Niannian instantly sat up from the bed.

Jin Yu stood at the doorway.

“Why didn’t you knock?”

Jin Yu gave her a glance, his handso features tense, his sculpted lines smooth yet stern, no longer showing any of the shyness from before.

“The door wasn’t closed,” he retorted coldly.

Xu Niannian pouted, “You should still knock.”

“I’ll knock next ti.”

Fine, Xu Niannian didn’t plan to argue with him; experience had taught her that haggling too much with Jin Yu could prove perilous.

“Is there anything else you need?” Xu Niannian asked, holding a corner of the blanket, tilting her head to look at him, her beautiful big eyes blinking at him.

Earlier, to make cleaning easier, she had tied her hair up in a high ponytail, a common hairstyle of the future.

Tossing around on the bed had ssed up her hair, which now looked disheveled yet added a lazy charm of a woman.

Moreover, her shirt’s buttons were undone up to the third one, and one side of the collar had slipped down to her arm, revealing her round, fair shoulder, along with her attractive collarbones.

Jin Yu’s eyes went straight as he stared, but the aching pain in his face reminded him not to focus too much.

He hadn’t forgotten the main reason he had co back in.

“Can I discuss sothing with you?”

“Sure, go ahead.”

The swollen side of his face reminded Xu Niannian of what she had done ten minutes earlier, and out of guilt, she spoke with an especially gentle tone, putting on a face of charity.

The visual impact, combined with her seductive voice, inflicted no small amount of damage to Jin Yu.

Jin Yu felt the walls he had so painstakingly built up being battered down by her single gesture.

“Damn it,” he muttered, shaking his head.

Xu Niannian didn’t catch what he said this ti, as the distance between the door and the bed was more than two ters.

Seeing him close his eyes, frown, and shake his head, she thought he was dizzy and nauseous again, and hurriedly ran over from the bed to support him, “Hey, are you alright?”

Jin Yu took advantage of the situation to lean weakly on her exposed shoulder, inhaling deeply without a sound, and hoarsely said, “Yes, it hurts even more now.”
