"The tal chakra rods used for the communication and monitoring the battlefield have a secret function within them," Kushina reveals the truth.
"Hmm The Uzumaki clan is really full of secrets, huh?" Onoki remarks.
"So, what's the plan? And what should we do to stop the rampage of the Ten-tail?" Onoki lends his ear.
"Previously, the mbers of the logistics and communication team buried the tal chakra rods with the special Fuinjutsu seal throughout the battlefield. There were four different fuinjutsu formations engraved on the tal rods. The first one is for amplifying the communication signal and the second one is for connecting them to the central communication hub in HQ. The third and the most crucial fuinjutsu formation is the chakra gathering formation. However, the fourth and the last hidden Fuinjutsu formation is a small barrier Fuinjutsu formation." Kushina explains.
"This small barrier Fuinjutsu formation is actually a part of a much bigger barrier Fuinjutsu formation. It's almost impossible to create such a large-scale Fuinjutsu formation that covers most of the continent. Since it requires channeling a massive amount of chakra. However,"
Kushina recalls the powerful barrier formation she saw at the Redaku. The scale of that ancient barrier formation is massive compared to her current barrier formation. The latter covers almost half of the planet. Studying that barrier formation for a while gave her so insights into the advanced Fuinjutsu techniques. Thus, she created her version of that barrier formation with Minato.
Even for them, it was a very ambitious project. Since the required amount of energy to sustain the barrier was so large that it was almost possible to supply it all with just the chakra ores. However, this is where Izuna's chakra and nature energy gathering seal cos into play. This seal can absorb enough energy from the surroundings to sustain the barrier.
And thus, Minato and Kushina discussed their ambitious failsafe plan. They designed a huge barrier formation with several small barrier formations acting as its nodes. Each of these small barriers has its own power source. Now, all she needs is to activate and connect them all together.
"Also, we don't have to worry about running out of chakra. The ten-tail is attracting the entirety of Shinobi's world's chakra and nature energy towards itself. It will also benefit the barrier."
"As expected of the Uzumaki clan!" A few elders of the Kirigakure shake their head and sighs. These elders also delved into the study of Fuinjutsu formations. However, compared to the Uzumaki clan, well there is no comparison at all.
"So, what's our role in the process?" Gaara asks the crucial question.
"I can remotely activate the barrier formation on each tal chakra rod from a distance. However, it requires manual interference to link them to each other. Now, I will send a few coordinates."
Kushina sends a few co-ordinates to the group.
"So, all you folks have to do is to link the barrier through these hand signs and maintain that state for as long as possible. It will place so burden on the body and chakra of the user. So, only shinobis with a fairly large reserve of chakra should take the position."
Kushina relays the necessary hand signs.
"Very well!"
The Kages discuss among themselves and pick up suitable candidates. Naruto also transfers so of the Nine-tail's chakra to strengthen them.
"It's here!"
A few sensor shinobis warn them.
"The Ten-tail is acting strange. The second wave of the Cataclysm is almost here!"
Rumble Rumble
Almost imdiately, another hemispherical sphere of energy escapes from the Ten-tail's body with it as the epicenter. The powerful wave of energy travels outwards and covers a radius of ten kiloters within just a few seconds. The chaotic energy pulse destroys everything within that radius. It expands the apocalyptic field of fire, water, lightning, and wind.
Whoosh Whoosh
The shinobi imdiately flickers away from the position and arrives at a distance of twenty kiloters from the Ten-tail.
"We have to start before the Third wave arrives or else there won't be any tal chakra rods left to initiate the barrier," Kushina warns.
"How long will it take for the next wave to arrive?" Shikaku asks Ao and the other sensors in the HQ.
The sensor departnt who just repaired the Water Sensing Sphere glances at it and remarks.
"It will probably take another forty-five minutes before the next wave arrives. Since the next wave will be much more destructive than before, the Ten-tail requires ti to harness the necessary chakra and nature energy. And the ti for every subsequent wave will only increase further."
They give a conclusive answer after performing so calculations.
"Mm that should be enough ti for us to erect the barrier!" Kushina and other nods.
The Kages imdiately rally the shinobis to occupy the co-ordinates sent by Kushina. The shinobis swiftly move to the position and make arrangents to kickstart the barrier.
Soon, a ga barrier formation spanning a circumference of over thirteen hundred kiloters takes shape. The barrier has over three hundred nodes and a shinobi occupies each of these nodes. Multiple small protection squad patrols the area in case of an ambush.
Onoki and other Kages survey the massive barrier formation from the sky.
"Unbelievable!" Onoki remarks, as he is lost for words.
Shua Shua
Several hexagonal units of barrier conjoin together to create a hemispherical barrier. This barrier also extends beneath the ground. The barrier contains the Ten-tail and the Cataclysm within it. The barrier even shrouds the sky and blocks the clouds.
The various hexagonal barrier units shimr with nurous glows. The hundreds of thousands of Fuinjutsu runes operate in tandem. They continuously absorb the chakra and nature energy from the surroundings; weakening the influence of Ten-tail's Cataclysm by robbing a part of its energy to strengthen the barrier.
Kushina, who is the brain of the barrier, continuously monitors every node in search of flaws and deficiencies. She issues one command after another to fix the issues.
"The node number 579 requires an increase in the steady stream of chakra. "
"One of the tal chakra rods at node number 378 is failing. Replace it as soon as possible."
"The position of Heaven's Gate at node number 786 is slightly off. Please adjust it three ters to the right."
Ayaka also joins Kushina and helps her share her burden.
After half an hour of intense struggle, the barrier finally becos functional. As soon as the barrier makes an appearance, the effect of the Cataclysm decreases by almost one-third.
"It's working!"
The Sensor shinobis at HQ are the first to notice this phenonon. They imdiately inform the rest of their compatriots.
Several shinobis on the battlefield heave a sigh of relief since there is no longer any imminent threat to their life.
Only the expression of Kages, commander, and vice-commander is slightly ugly.
"We have no choice but to defend." A clench his fists.
"I hope the barrier is strong enough to withstand the next wave and the subsequent waves." Raasa and Gaara also grimly stare at the barrier.
"We have trust in Minato and Kushina's judgnt!" Tsunade and i speak resolutely.
"What's the na of this barrier?" Onoki asks.
"I have yet to na this barrier." Kushina shakes her head.
"Then what about the 'Allied Shinobi Force Resolve Barrier'?" A Konoha shinobi proposes.
"That's so plain! What about the 'Rock-Solid Defense Barrier'?" Another Iwagakure shinobi proposes.
"No, it should be 'The Absolute Ultimate Shield'." A Sunagakure shinobi disagrees.
"That's such a clich na. This barrier should be called "Cataclysm Containnt Bubble'." A Kirigakure shinobi proposes.
"That's such a simple na. This barrier should have a majestic na like, "Heavenly Punishnt Containnt Barrier'." A Kumogakure shinobi adds.
The Kages and commanders cringe as their shinobis fight amongst each other to na the barrier.They have shed all sense of cordiality after the threat to their life is over.
Sigh
The Kages shake their head and ask Kushina.
"Since you are the creator of this barrier, then you should be the person to na this barrier."
Hmm
Kushina turns to Ayaka and both of them wrack their brain for a na. They think hard and finally settle on a na.
"We will call this barrier"
"Heavenly Barrier of Fate Denial"
