The developnt of this world was giving Hui quite the headache.
Although there was a certain sense of achievent similar to completing a simulation ga, this was, after all, not a ga. Every major decision made by Hui directly impacted the lives of real, living people.
Thus, he had to approach everything seriously and cautiously.
Ti flew by, and before he knew it, it was ti for another eting.
It was the sa familiar conference room, once again filled with people. If the deputy heads of every departnt were also required to attend, such etings would bring the entire village’s decision-making process to a standstill.
“Well then, regarding the election of leaders for the five regions, let’s begin… with Fugaku.”
Hui’s voice rang out, and Uchiha Fugaku stood up. He pulled out his proposal and began presenting it to the attendees.
“I am running for the position of leader of Region of Wind.
“Regarding the governance of this region, my ideas are as follows…”
Fugaku began his detailed presentation. His proposal started by addressing the customs and traditions, ideological perspectives, and geographical environnt of the people in the Region of Wind.
His plan included strategies for improving the geographical environnt, ideological education, and governance by integrating locals with personnel from the Hidden Sage Village. He also proposed cultivating a group of young leaders, with the core principles rooted in the law and aiming for the benefit of Hidden Sage Village.
The proposal was lengthy. It took a full hour for Fugaku to finish presenting it.
“Well, does anyone have any comnts?”
Hui opened the floor for discussion. What followed were questions raised by the attendees, addressing the issues in Fugaku’s proposal and probing how he planned to tackle them.
“I have a question. Regarding ideological education, if the people of the Region of Wind refuse to cooperate, how do you intend to handle it?”
Soone quickly raised a sharp question.
“My approach to this issue is as follows…”
One after another, challenging questions were brought up. The issues were complex and difficult to handle, making it a ntally taxing process.
Yet, Fugaku remained calm and composed throughout, answering each question in an orderly manner.
Even when there were problems he could not address, he was honest and forthright, openly admitting his inability to resolve certain matters.
This process of gathering opinions took another two hours.
Just with Fugaku alone, three hours had passed.
And there were still seven or eight other candidates to go.
Even though the pace quickened for the subsequent candidates, by the ti all the presentations and discussions were concluded, it was already late at night.
Fortunately, everyone present was a powerful ninja; otherwise, such a eting would have been pure torture.
“Well then, let’s proceed to the recomndations.”
Hui spoke, inwardly letting out a sigh of relief.
Even for him, such etings were ntally exhausting. It wasn’t just about passively listening, he also had to evaluate whether the proposals were reasonable, determine whose plan was better, and consider how to refine and implent them.
Listening to these reports was truly a taxing task.
“For the Region of Wind, the candidates are Uchiha Fugaku and Shiranui Seisui. Write down the na of the person you recomnd on the ballot, and Minato will handle the tallying.”
A few minutes later, Minato ca over to Hui and handed him the results.
Mochizuki Hui took a look at the results, nodded, and announced, “After tallying the votes, Uchiha Fugaku has received 63% of the recomndations, while Shiranui Seisui has received 37%. Therefore, Uchiha Fugaku is appointed as the leader of the Region of Wind.”
After the results were announced, applause filled the room. Fugaku stood up excitedly and declared in a loud voice, “Fugaku will not betray the trust of the Sage Village and will not disappoint everyone’s faith in !”
Hui nodded. After Fugaku sat down, he continued, “Next is the Region of Earth. The candidates are…”
One by one, the leaders of each region were determined.
The final results were as follows:
-Region of Fire Leader: Sakumo Hatake
-Region of Water Leader: Sarutobi Hiruzen
-Region of Wind Leader: Uchiha Fugaku
-Region of Earth Leader: Uzumaki Suihei
-Region of Lightning Leader: Hyuga Hizashi
“With that, today’s eting concludes. The five leaders will officially assu their positions after the Hidden Sage Village’s inauguration ceremony in a month. During this ti, you should all focus on assembling your respective teams.”
With Hui’s announcent, the eting finally ca to an end.
By now, it was already deep into the night. Other than the lively night markets, Konoha had quieted down, with only the streetlights still glowing.
After walking out of the conference room, Hui made his way toward the Senju Clan grounds, where he planned to rest.
It was already quite late, so there was no need to rush back ho.
The two of them walked hand in hand, quietly enjoying each other’s presence. They didn’t say much, but the silence was sweet and comforting.
Hui thought to himself.
He was about to turn thirty.
In just three months, it would be his thirtieth birthday.
Tsunade, who was the sa age as him, was also nearing that milestone.
“Ti really flies. We’re both about to be thirty,” Hui remarked with a sigh of nostalgia.
Hearing this, Tsunade’s lips curled into a soft smile.
“We certainly don’t look like we’re thirty,” she replied, causing Hui to chuckle softly.
Sure enough, won always paid attention to appearances.
“The moonlight is beautiful tonight,” Hui said, his thoughts drifting to the mories he had shared with Tsunade over the past two decades.
Then, out of the blue, he spoke.
“Let’s get married.”
Tsunade, who had been gazing at the starry night sky, froze montarily at his sudden proposal.
She stopped in her tracks, a wave of joy surging through her heart as her face flushed slightly with shyness.
“Alright,” she answered softly.
Even though she hadn’t expected such a sudden proposal from him, she didn’t hesitate to nod in agreent.
She didn’t even ask when he wanted to hold the wedding.
Hearing her response, Hui tightened his grip on her hand.
He was about to turn thirty, it was indeed the right ti to settle down.
That night, the moonlight was breathtakingly beautiful.
And so were the people beneath it.
…
The next day, news about the division of the five regions and the appointnt of their leaders spread rapidly, making its way across the entire world.
However, the fact that Hui planned to get married next year was known only to a select few.
“You two are finally planning to get married. It’s been so long since your engagent that I thought you’d forgotten you weren’t married yet,” Senju Tobirama remarked to Hui and Tsunade.
He had been waiting for the day these two would tie the knot. Yet sohow, they had dragged it out for ten whole years since their engagent!
“Haha, it’s not too late. This is the perfect age,” Hui replied with a laugh, and Tsunade smiled along with him.
“This has to be a grand occasion! Leave the wedding planning to . Don’t worry, Brother-in-law and Sister, I’ll make sure you have a wedding that you’ll rember for the rest of your lives!”
Nawaki exclaid with excitent.
He had been calling Hui “Brother-in-law” for years, and now, it was finally about to beco official.
In his mind, he had envisioned their wedding countless tis, already planning out every detail. Now, he could finally put those plans into action.
He was determined to organize a wedding so spectacular that it would shake the entire world!
Hearing Nawaki’s enthusiasm, Hui nodded.
He decided to entrust the grand wedding planning to Nawaki. The young man had plenty of creative ideas, and Hui trusted him completely.
Moreover, he had already prepared so surprises for Tsunade, ensuring that their wedding would truly be unforgettable.
“You brat, you should’ve gotten married ages ago!”
Sakumo and Uzuki Ryozawa, both of whom were already married, teased Hui. After all, in this world, getting married at thirty was considered rather late.
…
A few days later, the news of Hui and Tsunade’s upcoming wedding spread like wildfire. First throughout Konoha, and then across the entire world.
And soon, the world was abuzz.
Who was Mochizuki Hui?
He was the leader of the world, one of the Four Deities, the figure who ended the old era and ushered in the new. He was one of the most powerful and influential individuals in existence.
His wedding had to be the grandest event the world had ever seen.
Because of this, the higher-ups in Konoha beca even busier.
The upcoming celebration marking the renaming of Konoha, the end of the Hokage era, and the dawn of the Hidden Sage Village era was already keeping them on their toes.
And now, with the news of Hui’s wedding next year, it seed like these people wouldn’t get a mont’s rest until after the wedding.
Overti, everyone was going to be working overti!
