Everyone was stunned into silence, their minds unable to process what had just occurred.
So of them collapsed to the ground, their legs giving out beneath them as they stared at the massive crater, the future man-made lake.
The lake that Hui had just created.
Their thoughts were in complete disarray, leaving them with nothing but an overwhelming sense of emptiness.
This artificial lake was enormous, far larger than 99% of all the ninja villages in the world.
The remaining 1%? Konoha.
If Hui could create a lake this massive with ease, it ant that he could turn any ninja village in the world into a giant crater in an instant.
“This... can’t be real...”
Soone muttered in denial, trying to convince themselves that it was all an illusion.
“This isn’t even the sa level of power...”
“Is he a god?”
The sheer sight of the man-made lake was enough to make many of them feel as though they were losing their grip on reality.
Even individuals as powerful as the Third Mizukage and Hanzō of the Salamander felt hollow inside, as though sothing vital had been pulled out of them, leaving a void that could never be filled.
“What a... terrifyingly domineering man,” the Third Mizukage murmured bitterly, lifting his gaze toward the sky.
Above him, clouds drifted peacefully.
Yet, for so reason, as he stared at those clouds, all he could see was Hui’s face—
Looking down at the world from high above, like the unreachable sky itself.
Or perhaps... like the blazing sun, illuminating the world with an overwhelming brilliance that left nowhere to hide.
Hanzō of the Salamander, on the other hand, stared at the enormous crater as though he could see his own village, Agakure, being annihilated in an instant.
His lips moved beneath his mask, but in the end, no words ca out.
He simply let out a self-deprecating laugh.
His body felt unbearably heavy, as though a mountain were pressing down on him.
In the end, the leaders and shinobi from the various villages left, returning to their hos.
They carried with them the mories of what they had seen in Konoha, the massive crater Hui had created, and shared the news with the rest of the ninja world.
The entire ninja world seed to fall into a stunned silence.
In Iwagakure, when Ōnoki heard Kitsuchi’s report, he sank into his chair and remained motionless.
He knew Kitsuchi wouldn’t lie to him.
Which ant that everything Kitsuchi had described...
Was true.
But what he had described was simply—
Too unbelievable.
Too devastating.
Ōnoki had long suspected that Konoha’s developnt outpaced Iwagakure’s.
But he had never imagined that Konoha’s progress would be ahead by at least 30 years.
He had also anticipated that Hui was strong, perhaps even on par with the legendary Uchiha Madara.
He had even prepared himself for the possibility that Hui had created so devastating new technique capable of inflicting massive damage on their village and killing many of their shinobi.
But never, in his wildest nightmares, had Ōnoki imagined that Hui could wipe out their entire village in an instant.
It was too absurd, too impossible—
And too hopeless.
“So... even if the entire ninja world united, we wouldn’t be a match for Konoha.”
Kitsuchi’s voice trembled slightly.
“And Hui... he’s no longer soone who exists on the sa level as humans.
“He’s beco a god, a god whose will cannot be defied.”
Kitsuchi didn’t want to say these words.
Because he knew that by saying them, he was not only extinguishing the last shred of hope for those around him—
He was extinguishing his own.
Ōnoki remained silent.
He didn’t know what to say or how to give his people hope.
Because he himself was questioning the future of Iwagakure.
“We only have two years left... perhaps these will be the last two years of my life.
“So... please allow this.
“Even if Hui is truly a god, I will challenge this god with everything I have—
“Even if it costs my life.”
Ōnoki spoke, his voice calm but filled with resolute determination.
He had already accepted the possibility of his own death.
Surrender was not an option for him.
Hui had killed too many of his comrades, his friends—
And most importantly, his teacher.
This hatred was irreconcilable.
One of them had to die for it to end.
If Hui was a god, then Ōnoki would face him as a re mortal—
And fight him to the death.
The room fell silent as everyone stared at Ōnoki, a heavy sadness settling over their hearts.
He was their Tsuchikage, their leader.
In two years, he would face an unbeatable enemy.
And he would die at that enemy’s hands.
As for the people around him, they could do nothing but watch helplessly. They couldn’t help, not even a little.
How tragic.
…
In Kumogakure, after hearing the report, the Third Raikage Ay went to a specific place, Unraikyō.
Unraikyō was where they kept a powerful tailed beast imprisoned, Gyūki, the Eight-Tails.
The Eight-Tails had perished once before when its Jinchūriki was killed by Hui. However, over ti, the beast had resurrected.
Unfortunately for the Eight-Tails, even after its revival, it never regained its freedom. Kumogakure once again set its sights on the beast, capturing and imprisoning it within Unraikyō.
This ti, without a suitable Jinchūriki, the Eight-Tails was kept in its raw form, sealed within a special containnt area.
The Third Raikage A arrived at the holding site and ordered the sealing team maintaining the containnt to disperse.
He intended to unseal the Eight-Tails.
The Eight-Tails was released,
And it went berserk.
It was filled with rage, intent on destroying everything in sight.
Thus began an epic battle between man and beast.
The clash between the Third Raikage and the Eight-Tails was ferocious, each blow shaking the earth.
The battle raged on for three days and three nights.
By the end, both combatants had reached their limits.
But in the end, the Third Raikage Ay erged victorious.
Through sheer willpower, he forced his exhausted body to stay conscious until the Eight-Tails passed out.
“Seal it inside .”
Before succumbing to unconsciousness, the Third Raikage gave his final command.
And so, the strongest Eight-Tails Jinchūriki was born.
The Third Raikage had chosen to use the remaining two years to strengthen his Lightning Release Chakra Mode with the power of the tailed beast’s chakra.
He was determined to prepare for the war that would co in two years.
Like Ōnoki, he couldn’t accept the idea of surrendering.
Because his ntor, the Second Raikage, had also died at Hui’s hands.
The hatred he bore was one that could never be reconciled.
One of them had to die to settle the score.
If Hui was a god, then A would fight that god as a mortal, no matter the cost.
…
In Sunagakure, the Third Kazekage sat silently in his office, his eyes vacant.
Chiyo had recounted everything she had witnessed in Konoha in detail.
When she finished, the Kazekage didn’t say a word.
He sat there, lost in thought.
Perhaps he was thinking about the village’s future.
Or perhaps he was contemplating his own fate.
He thought for a long ti, weighed down by the sheer gravity of the decision before him.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he sighed deeply.
“I understand.”
His voice was tired as he spoke to Chiyo.
Then, without another word, he left the room.
Chiyo watched as the Third Kazekage’s figure slowly disappeared from sight.
She felt a pang of pity in her heart.
Kazekage...
Such a prestigious title, yet it had beco the heaviest burden of all.
Those who bore the title of Kage were often left with only one path to walk.
It was as though a colossal shadow had fallen over the entire ninja world.
The shadow lood over everyone, suffocating them, making it hard to breathe.
Konoha.
Mochizuki Hui.
These two nas were repeated over and over in conversations everywhere.
The once-taboo na of Konoha had beco the hottest topic in the world.
People couldn’t stop talking about it—
Everything about Konoha fascinated them.
They spoke of the incredible, almost mythical things Konoha possessed, things beyond their imagination.
Gradually, people stopped calling it “Konoha” altogether.
Instead, they referred to it with a different word: the future.
The future no longer seed to belong to this tiline.
In their minds, Konoha had beco synonymous with the future of the ninja world.
Ti seed to flow faster there.
The developnts in Konoha were 30 years ahead of the rest of the world.
Hui also began to gain a new title.
No longer “The God of Shinobi.”
No longer “The God of the Ninja World.”
His new title consisted of just one word
“God.”
