That day, Orochimaru finally broke free from the confusion that had plagued him for years. He began to notice things he had previously ignored and found new appreciation for the beauty in the world.
Outwardly, he looked the sa, but those who t him now saw a subtle difference.
He still carried his characteristic elegance, but the shadowy gloom that once lingered around him was gone.
Jiraiya, ever the curious one, imdiately noticed the change in Orochimaru and couldn’t help but wonder what had happened.
But no matter how persistently Jiraiya questioned him, Orochimaru simply smiled and offered no explanation.
This only deepened Jiraiya’s curiosity.
He tried every thod he could think of to get answers but found himself completely at a loss. Frustrated, he was left grinding his teeth in helplessness.
As for Hui, after helping Orochimaru untangle th knot in his heart, he returned to his usual routine.
Most of his days were spent either researching and developing his own unique Yin Seal or reviewing key docunts related to Konoha’s administration.
Konoha was now in a steady phase of developnt.
The village was expanding, and the population was growing, all while policies were implented in subtle, gradual ways.
Hui’s role was to observe their effects and adjust where necessary, ensuring everything progressed smoothly.
Aside from these duties, Hui spent his ti with Tsunade or occasionally guiding Nawaki in his training.
Speaking of Nawaki, becoming the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki had significantly changed him.
Sotis, he would act strangely, like suddenly bursting into laughter or sudden fits of anger for no apparent reason.
Hui, understanding the situation, rely smiled knowingly and let it be.
After all, Nawaki was no longer alone. The Nine-Tails now shared his body.
As a boy who had grown up listening to Hui’s fantastical cultivation stories, Nawaki’s mindset differed significantly from others in his world.
When he learned of the Nine-Tails’ imnse power, his eyes lit up with excitent rather than dread.
Instead of feeling burdened by his new role, Nawaki’s heart was filled with so peculiar ambitions.
To him, becoming the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki felt like another step toward realizing his dream of becoming the Tree Emperor.
Therefore in order to speed up this process, Nawaki frequently begged Hui to let him et the Nine-Tails.
Hui, having watched Nawaki grow up, easily saw through his intentions.
But after having Nawaki sign a series of one-sided agreents, Hui finally granted his wish.
…
When Nawaki t the Nine-Tails for the first ti, the naughty bastard had said;
“Hey, Nine-Tails! From now on, you’ll be the pet of the great Tree Emperor! When I conquer the world and dominate the universe, I’ll grant you your freedom-”
However, before Nawaki could finish his declaration, the Nine-Tails unleashed a wave of killing intent, forcibly sacring him out of his own mindscape.
Terrified out of his wits, Nawaki vowed never to return—only to grow more excited once he recovered.
He begged Hui again for another chance to et the Nine-Tails, this ti at the cost of a substantial amount of his snacks and allowance.
During their second eting, Nawaki attempted a more respectful approach, hoping to establish a partnership. He even proposed forming a “mutual contract.”
But as this world lacked the concept of such a contract, and Hui’s exasperated refusal to create one made it clear this idea was a no-go, Nawaki had to abandon the notion.
Unfortunately for him, the Nine-Tails had little patience for his chatter and “blew” him out of the mindscape with a single breath.
Nawaki was furious to death but undeterred.
He begged Hui once again,
On his third attempt, Nawaki switched tactics and adopted a gentler tone, trying to win the Nine-Tails over with kindness.
The Nine-Tails, however, was unmoved, swiftly cutting their interaction short once again.
Refusing to give up, Nawaki returned to Hui, leaving Hui with a headache.
To avoid dealing with daily requests for more etings, Hui suggested a new strategy: storytelling.
Of course, the stories Nawaki chose to share were Hui’s own cultivation or fantasy stories.
This idea excited Nawaki, who eagerly recounted the stories to the Nine-Tails.
To Hui’s surprise, this approach actually worked. The Nine-Tails, though ancient and powerful, had rarely experienced entertainnt of any kind.
Bored and intrigued, it humoured Nawaki’s storytelling.
Nawaki, being a clever child, began to introduce other gas and activities, including various types of strategy gas.
Though the Nine-Tails did indulge him, it always outsmarted him. Ti after ti, Nawaki was left questioning his own intelligence, which explained his erratically weird behaviour.
Hui observed these interactions with a smile.
Deep in his heart, he was looking forward to how their relationship would evolve. Would it be different from Naruto and Nine-Tails from the original work?
…
Ti passed in a dull way.
anwhile, Konoha continued to develop steadily. The village grew larger, its population expanded, and its streets beca livelier.
Hui’s efforts to integrate Konoha’s influence into the Land of Fire were progressing.
By the ti he beca Hokage, he was confident the Land of Fire would be fully under Konoha’s indirect control.
At that point, the village’s growth would advance to an entirely new level. He was planning to chive that growth as soon as he beca the Hokage.
…
Two months passed in the blink of an eye.
Hui delegated most of his responsibilities to his deputy and dedicated himself fully to perfecting his Yin Seal.
After months of painstaking research, he finally succeeded, solving his energy deficiency and elevating his strength even further.
Having achieved this milestone, Hui made a decision.
“So, you’re planning to travel the ninja world before taking the Hokage seat?” Tobirama asked, surprised by Hui’s sudden announcent.
“Yes,” Hui replied. “Perhaps I’ll be back in six months, or maybe a year, or a year and a half. But no matter what, I’ll return before my twentieth birthday to assu the role of Hokage.”
“And your reason for this journey?” Tobirama pressed.
“The reason… The world is vast, and I want to see it,” Hui said instinctively, earning an exasperated look from Tobirama.
Hui quickly added with a serious tone, “I want to change the world but to do so, I must first understand it.
“I want to see what this ninja world truly is and visit so unique places.
“My vision for change is missing a key piece, and I hope this journey will help find it.”
Reading thousands of books and travelling a thousand mile was entirely different. No matter how vivid your imagination could it would not trumb the satisfaction you get frm seeing thighs first hand, and relishing in the experience with your own five senses.
Hui didn’t want to completely define the world he lived in from his knowledge of the original ani and manga.
He wanted to see the world for it’s worth with his own eyes.
Of course, there were other reasons besides this.
The vision in his mind was at the threshold of making a breakthrough, and he needed to find so inspiration to achieve that.
He wasn’t going out to find excitent from the constant boredom of having to deal with office work and his own training.
Nop! not at all. Boredom? What as that? Can I eat it?
Tobirama considered his words carefully before nodding. “Fair enough. With your strength and the added protection of your Yin Seal, there’s little in this world that could threaten you.
“You’re right—if you want to change the world, it’s best to understand it first. I hope you return with new insights and achieve your goals.”
Hui smiled at Tobirama’s approval.
As he left the office, Hui couldn’t help but feel a rush of excitent.
He couldn’t help but mutter so classics.
“The ninja world… Here I co.”
