Chapter 750: Chapter 749: God Slayer (Part 2)

At the edge of the cliff, the protagonist could see into the abyss as if she was looking through transparent geological layers.

Layer upon layer, each layer was a dinsional space, all compressed beneath the abyss.

In one layer lay a colossal shrimp, its shell vibrant and colorful, surely the perfect ingredient for a concentrated seafood soup? Yet, projected in this world, it transford into a terrifying shrimp-man, crowned with a shrimp’s head and a muscular human torso of crimson red, exuding wildness. Wielding a divine weapon forged from a shrimp spear, he quickly declared this layer as his private territory and self-proclaid Demon Lord.

Another layer revealed a deep-sea world, a vast ocean.

And in the deepest part of the ocean was a carrier-sized scallop creature, its bioluminescent shell open, with water ripples inside forming a natural water curtain. Behind the curtain, a fair body was faintly visible, exuding a strange, enchanting aura.

More and more giants appeared beside the protagonist, and soon, nearly twenty people gathered on the cliff.

So of the giants stared at the shrimp ascending the Demon King’s throne, but most were captivated by the Mother of Scallops, their high culinary skills and willpower notwithstanding. At first sight of the delicate figure appearing within the scallop, they were utterly entranced, unable to shift their gaze.

Reality.

Among the giants present, except for Lei Zhe, everyone else took their first spoonful of the olette and couldn’t help but pause, imrsed in the taste.

The room was eerily silent, yet at this mont, Lei Zhe slowly raised his head, his gaze sweeping over to Xia Yu, who stood quietly. His face, previously marked by bulging veins, now twisted into a sinister smile, “You’ve fought Mars, defeated Tiqie Ji, you must know what ‘Food Dominator’ signifies, right?”

“Cage!”

He chuckled softly, “Every Food Tyrant Chef, whether willing or not, regardless of good or bad intentions, once a diner tastes his dishes, they’re tightly ensnared in a cage!”

Not caring whether Xia Yu was listening or not, Lei Zhe raised his hand, slowly covering his left eye with his right palm.

“Tiqie Ji’s cage is his so-called Golden Snake Kingdom.”

“Do you want to know what my cage is?” Lei Zhe pointed with his left hand at the group of giants imrsed in the culinary world, all under his flick of a finger. A hint of mockery glead in his eye as he reminded, “What do you think I sought by serving dishes first?”

His face suddenly turned fierce, “To imprison you!”

“To trample what you call precious into worthlessness!”

“Enough!” Xia Yu, awaiting the diners’ feedback, had no ti to listen to a dying man’s babble, “Shut your mouth first! Quiet down!”

“Hahaha!”

With a cold sneer, Lei Zhe lowered his right hand, and his left eye revealed a horrifying “demonization.” Veins crisscrossed, his eyeball bloodshot and bulging, his pupil turning golden, filled with the majesty of a dominator.

“Caught by this eye of mine…”

His dramatic statent abruptly stopped, as at this mont, the diners inside the room seed to encounter so terrifying sight, their complexions changing dramatically, a hint of panic visible.

Boom.

Above the abyss’s many dinsions, a massive golden vertical eye had appeared at so unknown ti.

The vertical eye, as if sent by a deity as a Monitoring Priest, stared coldly down at the abyss world, watching the demons dancing chaotically in their respective dinsions as if watching ridiculous clowns. Deep scorn filled the eye.

A voice then thundered:

“Is this what you call a cage… a surveillance?”

Swoosh.

The sound of a powerful weapon breaking through the air, followed by a chorus of shocked cries below.

The protagonist stumbled back several steps in shock.

The sudden appearance of the golden vertical eye, and its equally sudden departure.

A still-trembling lance, embedded precisely in the pupil of the vertical eye, sinking deep. The vertical eye scread, “How could a re inferior spear penetrate my cage!”

“Inferior spear?” A laugh filled with utmost mockery.

Suddenly, the spear burst into intense flas, and within the fiery furnace, eggs, garlic, and various seafood ingredients erupted with astonishing vitality, burning themselves and releasing a flavor ten tis greater than before.

At that mont, the group of tasters in the real world felt as if their mouths were on fire!

The aroma of the eggs and the spiciness of the garlic were instantly magnified, rging with the extraordinarily ordinary seafood ingredients into an unstoppable torrent that swiftly overwheld the previous mory of Lei Zhe’s “soufflé olette,” crumbling the so-called cage into sand.

Crack!

The vertical eye shattered too, and from the abyssal world ca the cries of a horde of demons, and the proud Demon Lords were all chanting in unison, “God Slayer!”

“God Slayer!!”

The massive chant echoed in their ears for a long ti.

Lei Zhe stood blank-faced, frozen in place, completely bewildered.

After a while, when the voices had completely faded, Tiqie Xianzuowen broke the silence by pointing to the egg custard in the tea bowl and said, “Inside this, there is a sharp power that can break through everything!”

It was then that everyone rembered to observe the dish.

“Ah!”

All the female chefs exclaid from their hearts, “How beautiful!”

Indeed, in the delicate tea bowl, there lay a piece of egg custard resembling blood jade, its pale yellow and dark red blending together, along with a fine luster, indeed creating a strong visual deception.

As for why the egg custard turned out this way, Xia Yu had sothing to say, he slightly smiled and said, “Using bonito fish broth mixed with egg mixture to steam, the egg custard can basically maintain its original color, but I used a thick ocean broth, and because a lot of tomato sauce was added, the sauce is naturally dark and thick in color…”

With the explanation, everyone suddenly understood.

“It’s not that simple!”

In a side room, Yan Qi holding a tea bowl, looked down at the egg custard within, its intricately arranged patterns, and couldn’t stop admiring, “This is a jewel of beauty forged by Bursting Fla!”

“Mundane, yet can be carved into a beautiful jade… Is this what you want to tell us?” Master Yizhen asked with a chuckling smile.

Xia Yu nodded and then shook his head, “Yes and no.”

“Eh?”

Glancing at Lei Zhe, who still hadn’t snapped out of it, Xia Yu’s lips curved up, “A mundane spear can also pierce through a seemingly sturdy shield of a god. In mythological stories, there are far too many mortals who slay gods. If gods themselves are not immortal, what about dishes made from ingredients? There is no truly immortal, invincible dish, this is a very simple truth, but what I really want to say is not this.”

“A mundane spear?”

His words, however, induced a wave of laughter; many leaders, overwheld by his excessive humility, broke into laughter, finding it both awkward and quietly vexing.

If this is “mundane,” then how are we supposed to live?

“Magnify! Amplify!”

Andrea held the tea cup with both hands, as if terrified that the cup might grow legs and run away, her voice trembling, “What kind of spell have you cast on these inferior ingredients? Compiled from ordinary ingredients yet forming a force with a million tis the impact, how terrifying!”

For a Food Tyrant Chef like Andrea, the object in her hands was bound to shatter her existing culinary views.

Hmm?

Upon hearing this, Tiqie Xianzuowen touched, furrowed his brows, and appeared surprised, “Enlarge, amplify?” he pondered.

Thump thump thump…

The sound of footsteps followed, and as soon as Lei Zhe snapped back to his senses, he rushed straight to the bar, because Xia Yu had deliberately left two tea bowls of egg custard on the wooden tray on the bar, untouched.

As he lifted the lid, his spoon turned into an afterimage, Lei Zhe’s cheeks puffed up, his face lit up with marvelous colors, eating at an astonishing speed, yet his mouth tangled, muttering over and over, “Damn, this garlic flavor is too abrupt, how can eggs be paired with garlic? It’s reckless! Pungent, choking, suffocating, truly too overwhelming, yet why can’t I stop… why… ah!”

A few spoonfuls later, Lei Zhe was like soone who had just finished a several-kiloter-long sprint, gasping for air, sweating profusely.

Why!!
