Are you ordering?”
Xia Yu spoke tersely.
He now knew who this woman was, the so-called queen of real estate, owner of the City Life Planning Company.
In recent years, she had managed several large developnt projects, all of which turned into gold mines, making investors wildly rich.
More importantly, she was Hozoi Midori, the woman who played a minor role in the beginning of Food War Spirit.
Except, the original Xingping Restaurant that was bought out had beco Xia’s Chinese Restaurant.
This was exactly why Xia Yu was irritated; he always felt like he was taking the hit for the protagonist.
After all, as far as he rembered, Hozoi Midori was supposed to visit Xingping Restaurant around these days.

Hozoi Midori frowned slightly and spoke with emphasis, “I’ve already had breakfast, and I’m here this ti to discuss the acquisition of this shop with the owner.

He pointed to the custors waiting outside, being quite rude.

Hozoi Midori leaned back and tilted her chin up, her gaze turning cold, “Do you think that the recent custor traffic has given you hope for a revival?”
“Give it up!”
Hozoi Midori said coldly, “Small-scale restaurants like yours simply don’t fit the trend of the tis.
The custors are only here for sothing novel.

“People prefer dining at upscale restaurants with elegant decor and spacious environnts, listening to the soothing music of a piano or violin, eating in peace, rather than squeezing into such cramped places, sweating and enduring strange slls in the air…”
“Are you finished?”
Xia Yu inserted his hands into his pockets and shrugged, “I admit what you say seems to make sense, service and dining environnt are important, but whether it’s a small diner or an upscale restaurant, aren’t they essentially places for people to fill their stomachs?
As long as we do our food to perfection, custors will co.
That’s enough.”
“Perfect the food?”
Hozoi Midori laughed as if she had heard the biggest joke in the world, covering her mouth and bending over in laughter, her shoulders shaking.
“Do you know the fa that chefs from those upscale restaurants have in the culinary world?
They are the successful chefs with four-star and five-star certifications from the IGO gastronomic organization, and anywhere they go, they can command an annual salary of over a million US dollars!”
Xia Yu opened his mouth to retort, but suddenly he received a system notification:

Xia Yu was secretly astonished.

With his hands pulled out of his pockets and the mission accepted, Xia Yu had no excuse to back down.

Of course, you’re also welco to co to the kitchen to watch the process of it being cooked—just so you don’t accuse of changing chefs.”
Surprised, Feng Zhizi stopped laughing and stood up.
At this mont, the restaurant was almost full of custors, who had overheard the argunt between Xia Yu and Feng Zhizi, sparking discussion among themselves.
“That real estate queen actually looks down on the culinary skills of this restaurant’s head chef…” a female patron said indignantly.
“I think I just heard that young man claim he is the mysterious head chef!” comnted a bespectacled and suit-clad gentleman, who looked like a businessman from an office building near Ueno Station.
“Yes, I think I heard that too!”
The custors exchanged looks, and then a scene of upheaval followed as everyone jostled to leave their seats and rush towards the kitchen.
In the courtyard’s tea house, Liangzi Lina, deep in thought and struggling with recipe formulation, was disturbed by the noise.
“What’s happening?” She couldn’t help but get up and walk out of the tea house, only to be startled to find the restaurant’s kitchen surrounded by a barrage of young custors.
Liangzi Lina, tall in stature, stood on tiptoes and could faintly see a purple-haired woman and two black-dressed bodyguards encircled at the very back.
Just beyond them was the completely open kitchen door where she could see Xia Yu busily cooking.
“Midori, listen carefully and find these ingredients for .”
“For the pork, I want the top-quality belly from the refrigerated cabinet.
For chili peppers, skip the green peppers—we have dried red chilies in the storage cabinet, bring those.”
Hozoi Midori walked to the kitchen doorway but then suddenly rembered sothing and turned back to ask curiously, “Don’t you want cabbage and Qingjiang vegetable?”
“No, get two stalks of green garlic instead.”
Xia Yu waved her off as he set up the cooking pot on the stove.
By the ti Hozoi Midori returned with the pork, Xia Yu placed a large chunk of it into the water and added green onion pieces, ginger slices, and a few Sichuan peppercorns, then also picked up a bottle of cooking wine, pouring a little yellow wine into the cold water.
The pot was left uncovered on the stove.
Xia Yu turned back to prepare the other ingredients.
Big Blast Fried Pork, huh?
Hozoi Midori, who had tasted the dish last night, shook her head.

Hozoi Midori watched as Xia Yu opened a cupboard and, among an assortnt of bottles and jars, took out a jar of a brilliantly red seasoning sauce.
